"Storytelling" Stories, Travel, Experiences and Art
Storytelling is the starting point of cultural emergence. Differences in thought and expression are what drive the diverse experiences of people in society. The culture of each person or group of people is often rooted in stories that have been passed down through the ages. Storytelling is not only about telling the truth or events in daily life, but also about creating and transmitting spiritual values, beliefs and shared understandings that are reflected through actions and lifestyles.
A person's way of life and growth create boundaries of connection along the way. The experiences we receive, whether happiness, sadness, love or loneliness, are all connected to the inner feelings that leave traces in our minds and are reflected through "narrative images". Events in each period of life are not only stories that have passed, but also leave imprints that reflect our identities, thoughts and ways of seeing the world. These narrative images often occur in our minds without our knowing and are re-told in our memories when we look back on those events later.
This exhibition takes the heart of storytelling and presents it through the artworks of 8 artists: Chananin Kwangkaew, Topong Cheychom, Traipmanee Chaisansuk, Thanapat Chaipanna, Pichet Yangpop, Rattapol Panyatha, Siwakorn Srikhampha, and Sitthiphon Laochaisong, curated by Zen Sene-ngamcharoen. Each artist conveys their own creative works in their own style and storylines, reflecting their perspectives, thoughts, beliefs, and self-acceptance in an imperfect world. They present memories of the past combined with thoughts of the present, reflecting the depths of the mind onto a canvas that is decorated with stories, experiences, and complex dimensions within the human mind. It is like an artist’s journey, taking the time to search, discover, and distill impressive stories during their lives. #ardelgallery #storytelling #ChayaninKwangkaew #TorpongChoeichom #SupmaneeChaisansuk #ThanapatChaipanna #PichateYoungpob #RattaponPanyata #SiwakornSrikampa #SittiphonLochaisong #ZenSanehngamjaroen #art #exhibition #artgallery #art #exhibition #exhibitionreview
