Visit the temple to cool off, Wat Inthakhil

Wat Inthakhil Sadue Muang is located in Si Phum Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province. It is a temple near the Chiang Mai Provincial Art and Culture Hall or the old city hall. It was built during the reign of King Mangrai to house the Inthakhil Pillar or the main pillar of Chiang Mai. Later, the Inthakhil Pillar was moved to Wat Chedi Luang and Phra Un Mueang (Luang Pho Khao) was invited to be enshrined as the principal Buddha image in the temple's chapel. Behind the chapel of Phra Chao Un Mueang (Luang Pho Khao) is a round pagoda with a square base. The temple is quiet and peaceful.
