If fairies exist, they must live in Tongna Yujian Bay, Guangxi!

If fairies exist, they must live in Chongzuo Tongna Yujian Bay, Guangxi, because it's a paradise on earth! As a native of Guangxi, I've seen my fair share of beautiful scenery. I've seen the hazy beauty of the Li River in Guilin in spring, the tranquil beauty of Detian Waterfall in the dry season, and the peaceful evenings of Mingshi Pastoral Scenery, where I listened to the sounds of insects and frogs. But when I saw the emerald river of Tongna Yujian Bay in Chongzuo, Guangxi, I was stunned! Such beauty exists in the world! No wonder the popular movie *The Journey of Flower* was filmed here. It's so beautiful! So pure! I think this would be a great place for a girl's photo shoot or wedding photos! We drove two hours from downtown Nanning to Tongna Yujian Bay. On the way, we stopped at a village to eat some grilled rice noodle rolls and bought some sweet homegrown bananas from a local farmer. There are many banana plantations in that area. We arrived at Tongna Scenic Area at 2pm. As soon as we bought our tickets, a boat was ready to depart. At first, the boat ride was uneventful, but the surprise came during the walk after we disembarked! The boat had a guide, a young man who gave a very earnest explanation. After all, it's a 4A-rated scenic spot. This place used to be called "Anping Fairy River." I brought my parents here a few years ago. It's said that the veteran traveler Xu Xiake mentioned this area in his travelogue. The scenic spot, originally called "Anping Fairy River," changed management and was renamed "Tongna Yujian Bay" around the end of 2023. Just by interpreting the name, you can understand the characteristics of the place. I guess they must have hired a professional namer, otherwise, how could it be so accurate? Haha. "Tongna Yujian Bay" sounds like a Zhuang language place name in Guangxi! In Zhuang, "tong" refers to an open area among mountains, where villages are usually located. "Na" means farmland in Zhuang. Does this conjure up an image of a mountain village? Haha, there's more! "Yu" refers to scattered islands, and the art of miniature landscapes, commonly used in gardens, can be seen everywhere here! "Wan" refers to the winding streams flowing through the mountains. Just by interpreting the name, you can picture a beautiful landscape of a paradise! The name perfectly describes the place, or even undersells it! That's my honest feeling! This is the scattered "yu" (islands) I saw during the walk after disembarking. This is the place that captivated me the most. Sitting on this bamboo bench, with the sun dappling on me, and breathing in the fresh air, all my worries evaporated! "Oh God, please save me," I thought, "I want to live here forever!" Living here permanently is impossible, but "I'll come back again!" is definitely possible! There are so many attractions nearby.
