Asama-yama Park in Fuchu City is composed of three hills: Nakayama, Maeyama, and Douyama. Despite being called mountains, the highest elevation is only 80 meters (with a height difference of about 30 meters), making them more like gentle hills. Although the park is adjacent to major roads like Shin-Koganei Street, which doesn't make it an ideal natural environment, stepping into the park gives you a completely different atmosphere. Douyama within the park houses the Asama Shrine, and on clear days, you can see Mount Fuji from Nakayama. Musashino Kisuge is a subspecies of Nikko Kisuge. While Nikko Kisuge thrives in alpine regions, Musashino Kisuge can grow in lowland areas. This flower is unique to Asama-yama Park and blooms from late April to early May.
