🍣 Sushiro at Its Best – Fresh, Fast, and Worth Every Yen in Fukushima

When the first Sushiro opened in Singapore, the queues were insane—and we always wondered if it lived up to the hype. So now that we’re actually in Japan, we knew we had to give it a proper try on its home turf—and we’re really glad we did. This particular branch in Fukushima (Asahicho) was in a very convenient location, and parking was a breeze with ample lots just outside the shop. The setup was clean and efficient, and we didn’t have to wait long at all to be seated, which was a nice change from the long lines back home. We ordered a wide variety of sushi, and each one impressed us. The quality of the ingredients and the flavour were noticeably better than what we’d experienced in Singapore. The fish was fresher, the rice was seasoned just right, and even the side dishes were on point. And then there’s the price—so much more affordable here in Japan! It almost felt like a steal for the kind of quality we got. No, we’re not native Japanese and we’re not pretending to be sushi connoisseurs, but the difference in taste and value was clear.
