This was our very first 7-Eleven stop on our Tohoku self-drive trip, and honestly, it just felt right. Convenience stores in Japan are in a league of their own, and 7-Eleven is always one of our go-to favourites. We made a quick stop at the Fukushima Racecourse branch, and of course, it turned into more than just a simple pit stop. For us, it’s almost tradition to grab some of our must-have 7-Eleven favourites—like the curry buns, the indulgent double cream puffs, and those perfectly chilled chocolate eclairs. Every item feels like a little snack treasure, neatly packed and reliably tasty. Each convenience store brand in Japan has its own specialties, but 7-Eleven’s lineup never disappoints. We couldn’t resist sneaking a few pictures of the shelves to share later (quietly, of course, since we know how photo-taking in stores isn’t really encouraged here in Japan).
