River Vibes & Picnic Dreams

#summervacay Okay, Sangju is already kind of a hidden gem, but Gyeongcheon Island? Total vibe. It’s this little river island that’s perfect for doing... honestly, nothing. Which is exactly what I needed. You cross over a small bridge to get there, and suddenly it’s like the world slows way down. There’s tons of open grassy space, shaded spots under trees, and a peaceful river view in every direction. People were out biking, laying on picnic mats, tossing frisbees, it’s got that easygoing energy where no one’s in a rush. I just kicked back with some snacks and let the breeze do its thing. It’s not flashy, but that’s what makes it awesome. There are walking paths, flowers blooming in random places, and birds doing little concerts in the background. You don’t need a plan, just bring a drink, some good company (or a book), and vibe with nature. Gyeongcheon Island is pure chill. 10/10 would come back with a picnic basket and zero responsibilities.
