Built in the late Ming Dynasty, this residence features a three-room, two-entry, two-hall layout with a front hall, rear hall, upper-story hall, and a back garden. The upper-story hall in the rear section showcases a unique architectural style of Jiangnan dwellings found only in Zhuge Village. According to the genealogy of the Zhuge clan of Gaolong, four houses with identical layouts were built on the same day, at the same time, and in the same year as this residence, and all are well-preserved today. This residence is a typical three-room, two-entry, two-hall building in Zhuge Village, with a front hall and rear building structure. The rear building has an upper-story hall, side rooms, and a garden at the back. This type of house requires a large foundation and was typically owned by large families. Located west of the Grand Hall, the house faces south, with the Grand Hall's courtyard to the east, the alley leading to Xingyuan Hall to the south, residences of the same clan to the west, and the garden and side rooms to the north. The house reflects the Ming Dynasty architectural style, with the exact construction date unknown, estimated to be during the late Ming Dynasty. The house features a hard mountain roof, horse-head walls, and yin-yang tiles. It has a total width of approximately 10 meters, a total depth of approximately 21 meters, and covers an area of approximately 250 square meters. The main entrance is located in the east wing, featuring a Suzhou-style brick-carved gatehouse. The front facade of the front section has an inward-sloping, eight-character brick-carved screen wall. The lower level is constructed with beams and moon beams, with a veranda in front and relief carvings under the eave purlins. A balcony supported by corbels is located upstairs facing the courtyard. The rear section is a three-room, two-bay upper-story hall structure, with a courtyard between the front and rear sections. The rear platform is higher than the front, and stone steps lead up from the courtyard. The upper-story hall structure in the rear courtyard is exquisite, with the main beam frame featuring an inner four-frame structure with a four-rafter, curved-roof, and double-stepped beam, constructed with moon beams and intricate relief carvings under the purlins. The side beams of the secondary rooms are also moon beams. Both the lower and upper halls are built with moon beams. It is a national key cultural relic protection unit.
