Wat Ratchaprathit

#VisitAyutthaya Wat Ratchaprathit This temple was built in the early Ayutthaya period. It is the temple where King Maha Chakkraphat, when he was a monk, was ordained as a monk. The remaining ancient structures from the Ayutthaya period that can be seen are the pairs of sema stones carved from red sandstone from the Ayutthaya period, which are placed around all eight directions to mark the boundary markers. Inside, there is a principal golden Buddha image named Phra Borommatrailokanat and mural paintings inside the ordination hall from the Ayutthaya period. However, they have all faded away now because the ordination hall has no roof. Later, the temple demolished it to build a new ordination hall. #wattosann
