Wat Sing, Pathum Thani

Wat Sing Sam Khok District, Pathum Thani Province This ancient temple is over 400 years old and is believed to have been built during the late Ayutthaya period, around 2202-2210 BE, during the reign of King Borommatrailokkanat or King Narai the Great. Wat Sing is registered as a historical site by the Fine Arts Department, including the ordination hall, small vihara, the urn of Luang Por Phra Ya Krai, and the twelve-cornered pagoda. Inside the temple, there are significant Buddha statues: 1. Luang Por To, the principal Buddha statue in the Mara Vichaya posture, housed within a decorative arch. It is over 300 years old and located in the north direction. It is enshrined in the Sala Din or open-air vihara, a wooden building with tiled eaves and simple red round wooden columns. 2. Luang Por Phet, a reclining Buddha statue, located in the south direction. It is also enshrined in the Sala Din, behind Luang Por To. 3. Luang Por Phuttharattanamuni, over 300 years old, located in the east direction. It is enshrined in the ordination hall along with three Buddha statues from the U-Thong period. The ancient ordination hall was built during the mid-Ayutthaya period, surrounded by a wall with triangular openings for lamps and an entrance designed like an elephant howdah. 4. Luang Por Sirimasan or Luang Por Dam, a Mara Vichaya posture statue made of red sandstone, located in the west direction. It is enshrined in the small vihara, accompanied by standing disciples on the left and right. The vihara has a semi-Maha Ut design, with small side windows and no rear door. 5. The urn of Luang Por Phra Ya Krai (Phra Traisaranachai), a former abbot of Mon royal lineage, is located in front of the small vihara.
