🏡 Wat Krang, established around 1757, was originally named Wat Dong Dara. The local villagers contributed land and funds to establish the temple. Later, it became abandoned but was eventually restored and renamed Wat Krang due to the presence of a single Krang tree in the area. Key attractions within the temple include: 🙏 The sacred Buddha statue, Luang Por Narasingh, crafted in Chiang Saen style from laterite stone in the Mara Vijaya posture. It was brought by Mon or Raman people from the northern region and enshrined in the temple's pavilion. 🦁 The name "Narasingh" is believed to derive from Pali-Sanskrit, meaning "lion," symbolizing power and its connection to Buddhism. Lions are considered the kings of the forest, and the lion pillars of Emperor Ashoka, featuring three lions and the Dharmachakra, were created as offerings to honor the Buddha. 🙏 Statues of Luang Pu Ram Kesaro and Luang Por Huan Paphassaro.
