✨️Wat Pa Heo (San Pu Loei) is a famous temple in San Kamphaeng District, not far from Chiang Mai city. It was originally called Wat San Pu Loei and was built during the Ayutthaya period in 2296 during the reign of King Borommakot. Later, the name was changed to Wat Pa Heo (San Pu Loei) during the early Rattanakosin period, during the reign of King Rama III. Inside the temple, there is a large and important Buddha statue, which stands out prominently in the middle of the temple. There is a beautiful chapel and a golden pagoda, which is the center of the villagers' minds. There is also a statue of King Naresuan for worship. It is considered an important tourist attraction in San Kamphaeng District. 🥥 The temple is located next to Pa Heo Market, a fresh market in the evening where locals come to shop and buy food and other necessities. This makes it a popular place for people to make merit and worship. It is another beautiful temple.
