Suwannakhiri Temple

Wat Suwannakhiri, Songkhla Province 🙏This is an old temple built in the Ayutthaya period. Later, it was renovated to be an important temple of Songkhla Province on the Laem Son side. It is considered a temple that is a symbol of the city. Inside the ordination hall, there are murals, which are beautiful paintings with lines and compositions. It is the place where the Buddha statue made of brick and mortar, lacquered and gilded, in the Mara-Vijaya posture is enshrined. There is also a bell tower located on the east side of the ordination hall. A Chinese-style stone pagoda (Tha) is located in front of the ordination hall. The gable arch is made of granite, in the style of Chinese art, decorated with beautiful flower-shaped stucco patterns. 🪨The pagoda in front of Wat Suwannakhiri This pagoda is rumored by locals. They tell each other that the stones surrounding this pagoda can grow on their own. So the locals and the temple renovated it by painting it to make it look more beautiful than before.
