The hip roof is one of the highest-level roof forms in traditional Chinese architecture. It is solemn and majestic. When you walk into the main hall, you will find that the main beams in the hall are divided into two sections, front and back, which are interlaced and hooked together. There is no usual main beam to support it. The locals call it the "beamless hall".
