Zhang Clan Ancestral Hall in Xingguo, Jiangxi.

Also known as "Jinjian Hall," the Zhang Clan Ancestral Hall was first built in the 23rd year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1758). In the 15th year of the Daoguang reign (1835), the Zhang clan raised funds to purchase the three-bay house of Zhong Shaosu outside the north city wall of the county seat, and converted it into the Zhang Clan Ancestral Hall, which has been preserved to this day. In October 1931, the Central Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Soviet Area decided to establish the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Provisional Committee in Xingguo, with Ren Bishi as the secretary. The committee was stationed at Jinjian Hall in Tongluojing Lane, East Street, Xingguo County, and governed three special committees: the CPC East Jiangxi, South Jiangxi, and Yongjitai Special Committees. In early November, the first CPC Jiangxi Provincial Congress was held at the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall next to Jinjian Hall, where the provisional committee was dissolved and the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee was established, with Chen Zhengren as the acting secretary. The provincial committee office was moved to Niukengtang in Beijie. The provisional committee worked and lived in Jinjian Hall for more than a month, laying the foundation for the official establishment of the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee.
