I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in Birmingham, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. This hotel is a true gem in the heart of the city, and I can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone visiting Birmingham. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the front desk team went out of their way to make me feel at home. I was thrilled to be upgraded to a deluxe room with a stunning view of Birmingham’s skyline, which added a special touch to my stay. The room itself was spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable – I slept like a dream every night! I loved the little touches, like the Nespresso machine, high-speed Wi-Fi, and the sleek bathroom with a powerful rain shower and luxurious toiletries. Everything felt well thought-out, making my stay both relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel’s facilities were top-notch. The on-site restaurant was a highlight, offering a fantastic breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options, from fresh pastries and fruit to full English breakfast items. I also enjoyed a delicious dinner there one evening – the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and the service was impeccable. The bar area was a great spot to unwind with a cocktail after a day of exploring the city. The location of the Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham is unbeatable, especially if you want to be in the heart of the action. It’s just a short walk from major attractions like the Bullring Shopping Centre, Birmingham New Street Station, and the vibrant Brindleyplace area, making it perfect for both leisure and business travelers. I also appreciated how easy it was to get around the city, with excellent transport links nearby. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the exceptional service. Have stayed at The Redwings Lodge several times, it  is in an ideal location for us going to concerts (15min walk to KK Steelmill). Comfy bed and a good hot shower. One piece of advice get there early if Wolves are playing at home as even the hotel car park can be full.

There was no parking even though I had emailed ahead of my booking to enquire about it and was informed the sight had parking. Front desk staff were rude and unhelpful. Location was amazing and the room was as described on the booking information. Probably wouldn’t come back.

The hotel has a good location, about a ten-minute walk to the center area, making it quite convenient for getting around. However, the cleanliness needs improvement—the sofa in the room was noticeably dirty, which made the stay less comfortable. Considering the price, the value for money is still decent. If you don’t have particularly high expectations for cleanliness and facilities, it could be a reasonable option.

I like the normal central heating compared with some hotels that have electric heaters- because you can dry your clothes. Bonus that there is a wall plug -in socket by the bedside unit( which has drawers too. That way, you can charge your phone nearby when in bed. Mine was a single room. Loved the new bathroom with a dual shower( rainfall and flexible shower ( I hate fixed shower heads ). Plus point was the rubber/ plastic mat to use as you come out of the shower. It's such a reasonable rate at this hotel. Plus, it's great for single travellers - then you are not paying for a double room. Biscuits are also a plus and the huge TV screen with free Internet that's not limited

I booked the hotel on Trip.com. The earliest check in time was 3pm. Check in was easy. I asked for a room on a certain floor and not too close to the elevator and got exactly what I wanted. Staff was friendly and professional. The room was nice & clean, with all necessary amenities included. The location is excellent. Its a short walk (under 9 mins) to Birmingham New Street station also known as Grand Central. Hotel is also very close to Bullring Mall. Shops, restaurants & banks are all within easy access to the hotel. I did not eat any meals in the hotel. Ate out at different restaurants. The hotel amenities are good and well stocked. King size room amenities: kettle, tea coffee milk, safe, mini fridge, ironing board, iron, hair dryer and toiletries. The shower does not have a glass door, instead it had a shower curtain which was torn on the top. The windows are not double glazed. It rained heavy. The sound of strong winds & rain hitting on to the windows was too loud. Double glazed windows would have solved that issue. The fire alarm went off on Friday morning 3 or 4 times in a row. I tried calling reception a few times but the line was engaged. The hotel should have informed all guests about the fire alarm but they failed to do so. I had to ask one of the cleaners about the alarm. She told me it was nothing to worry about. In general, I would gladly recommend this hotel to others due to location, cleanliness and comfort.

We are here for my big day, the graduation ceremony in Coventry University for attaining my Masters in my home country, an associate with CU. The room is within proximity to my University, thanks for that and it makes the graduation process even easier as the gown and mortar hat was inside the Britannia Hotel. 🙏🏼 The one or things to comment about is the lack of air-conditioning machine provided to the guest rooms especially during this time, the summer. Others not much comment as the price of the room is priced economically for the common goods. Thank you Britannia

I was asked to pay again upon arrival however I had paid for my room online. Then I was allocated a room and whne I entered it there was already someone occupying the room. This was quickly reslived, however not how you want to check in.

This is my second visit here and as I probably said first time around, it was perfect for just getting your head down after a night out. This time I had a room with a window. Despite being in the busy centre, there was little or no noise to disturb me. The room was clean, stocked, tidy although the outside of the windows could do with a wash 😉. Checking in was no problem either, quick, efficient and friendly as was the check out.

Nice cozy place with a wonderful, friendly staff. Good location close to the city center and Grand Central Railway station. The shared area is rather big and nice decorated. Beds are comfortable, and rooms are warm and homely. 1 bathroom for 10 beds may be too low, but I've never been in a queue.

Have used Holiday Inn Express chain before. Usual good value at this location. Our room was quiet which was just what we wanted. And conveniently close to Symphony Hall area. Would definitely consider staying here again

No complaints - the hotel is walkable from the New Street Station and the room itself is expected from the crowne plaza chain. Spacious room and generous 2 double beds as standard. Only very minor complaint is that the buffet breakfast could have had a bit more choice with the hot food.

Great location, parking is worth staying here for alone but arrive early or pre book to avoid missing out on one of the 50 spaces. Rooms a little tired but clean and functional. TV seems to have a problem with the BBC! Probably one of the best hotels for Utilita Arena. Would stay again.

I recently stayed at here, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The service stood out the most – the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and eager to help. From check-in to check-out, I felt well taken care of, and they were quick to respond to any requests. The facilities were modern and well-maintained. The rooms were clean, spacious, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The hotel also had excellent recreational options, including a well-equipped gym and a relaxing pool area. I particularly enjoyed the lounge space, which was comfortable and inviting, perfect for unwinding after a long day.

I was in room 187 the noise from the pipes for the 2 days I was there was terrible I left after 2 days exhausted from lack of sleep the room was lovely and the bed was great but I ask the management to go into that room and flush toilets from other rooms and you will hear what I mean. I couldn’t believe how bad it was I won’t lie. Paint in the bathroom could do with a little TLC

We enjoy coming to this location. It is out of the way, which gives us some good 'personal' time, we always have a warm welcome and there are plenty of facilities nearby. Two points that you may wish to address are the prices in the service station food area. (1) Can hotel guests not have a discount voucher as we aren't the 'transient' customer the services are priced to provide for. (2) To get to/from Nuneaton/Coventry means there is a long circuitous route around the M6 in one direction (or the other); depending which side we park on. Is it not possible to allow hotel guests permission to use you ”secret” access road directly to the adjacent bridge over the M6, rather than needing a 15 mile round trip to get anywhere?

I went to Warwick to attend my son's graduation ceremony. The hotel is on the Warwick campus and is very convenient for going to the college and the art center. Because the flight and coach were delayed, we didn't arrive at the hotel until three in the morning. There were still staff on duty waiting for us to check in. The room was very heated. It's enough. The surrounding air is very good. It's worth recommending.

I loved staying at the Wyken Inn, in Coventry. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left,I was made to feel very welcome. The management and all the staff were all so friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable, The food was great and being a Wheelchair user, nothing was too much trouble for any of them. I would highly recommend staying here and I am looking forward to going back to stay there in May. THANKS GUYS. LYNN.

Efficient for the check-in , £5 was paid for the parking. It was easy for the drivers to find the actual location on the map, therefore I would say it is convenient to reach. What I like about the room is that the design of the room is reasonable and fully functional. The mattress was a bit hard but it is fine for me. Besides, it is seldom to see that the stool is separated from the shower, which is quite considerable. We enjoyed the stay.

I’ve stayed here before not a problem,but this time was terrible I stayed in the car park 1 hours thought they’d made a mistake on the booking the hotel looked like a demolition site no sign of entrance or reception very disappointing,gave me a disability room which I refused to stay in at a different hotel , I think the manager was Richard who helped us get a different room he was very friendly but the room was in lower ground smelling of sewage in hallway’s and damp in the room ,we both suffer with asthma and anxiety , all the lady staff was very polite and welcoming but I don’t want to stay here again

The hotel is perfect for a couples weekend away, the receptionist can’t remember her name was amazing and upgraded our room free of charge too

Hotel was clean and had everything we needed for our one night stay. We booked it as we had an early flight from the airport, one issue was the taxis and cars constantly beeping their horns at around 3am which kept us awake, this is not the hotels fault but unsure if it was just a one off or if it’s always the same. Hotel really good for what we needed though, could have had a fridge to make it better.

This hotel is located over 2 miles from Birmingham International Airport, and is not in walking distance. Takes 10 mins or so in a taxi, which costs £16. It is £5 as soon as you get in the taxi. I have asked for three lisiting to be updated as I was inconvenienced due to the location is in accurate. You cannot walk easily to the hotel due to dual carriageway. Swimming pool was not in use, apart from the location the hotel has good facilities.

Pleasant surprise to what l expected place was quite clean especially the bathroom. Was a bit nervous parking on the grounds but was the safest. Staff, she was very, very helpful and friendly catered for my mom’s needs. Really enjoyed the night out room was quiet. Only thing was we couldn’t find the place but l think that was just us. Overall good.😊

Very close to the airport and NEC exhibition center, very convenient. Breakfast is English breakfast, which is only enough to fill the stomach in the food desert of Britain. The restaurant is expensive.

Perfect place to stay for one night when you’ve got a early morning flight the next day room was basic but very clean very happy with the food we had staff was friendly and helpful perfect for the price.

Very close to the work address, the traffic is convenient, but you have to rent a car. The next day I knew that it was a hotel where Indians were setting it down. Breakfast is too general, even coffee is washed.

Stayed for 1 night prior to early flight. It was further from the airport than I thought it was. The bed was comfortable and bedding spotless The hubby liked the fact he could see the aircraft take off and land from the room so wasn’t disappointed that it was further than anticipated. The bathroom was adequate but I’m not sure about having a shower curtain instead of a screen but it did look clean. The meals we had were nice and a couple of drinks in bar. Hospitally tray was adequate too. You need to ask reception for hairdryers but not an issue. Overall it’s great value for money and we would stay again. All the staff we came into contact were friendly and professional at all times

Great hotel to stay in if you are traveling for work. Pool and jacuzzi is always a bonus. Great food in the Burgundy restaurant, but don't order Tiramusu (it's too creamy, no taste of coffee or alcohol - very bad)! Staff members are friendly, let us stay for an extra hour, which was nice.

I rang ahead and asked if I could check in 20 mins earlier but that was extra £20. Was given room 400 but was dirty. Moved to room 435 which was opposite lift and an accessible room. Facilities included tea/coffee, ironing board and safe. The room faced the departures area of the airport. There is a bar & restaurant on site. The room itself was quiet and sound proof from airport noise. Staff seemed friendly enough. But the hotel is more 3 star than 4 star. Convenient for the location.

Everything was very good food, staff , room etc I would have given it an even better score but I object to paying for car parking.
