The room was pretty good, and the service was warm and responsive. Breakfast was decent too. I especially loved the JBL Horizon speaker and the B&O TV – they really added a nice touch! 🥰 The office chair and living room armchair were incredibly comfortable, a perfect 10/10. All the usual amenities like bathrobes, umbrellas, and a safe were readily available. And the bedding? It's Westin's signature Heavenly Bed, and let me tell you, it's absolutely heavenly. Even my mom, who's very picky about bedding, said it was excellent.

I am very satisfied with my stay at this hotel. The housekeeping service is meticulous. The overall experience was excellent. I dislike it when people come into my hotel room mid-stay. Sometimes I forget to hang the sign indicating that the room is not to be cleaned, and even when I do hang it, someone might still come in to refill water. I stayed in the hotel for four consecutive days, and I needed to inform the housekeeping staff in advance about any cleaning requirements. There were no interruptions during my stay. This is the kind of experience I was looking for. The transportation is also convenient. Walking nearby attractions is sufficient. The roads in Chongqing are easy to navigate; just stroll around. Our previous planned itinerary was completely invalidated because, as we walked along, we realized that this was the third attraction we intended to visit. We ended up exploring wherever we happened to be.

I usually don't bother leaving reviews, but when I checked out, I told the front desk there were bugs. They just said, 'Sorry, we'll take care of it.' What I didn't expect was for one of them to crawl into my suitcase! I didn't buy any local specialties, but I brought a Chongqing bug home with me instead 😞. That night, I wanted to switch to the taller pillow – I prefer sleeping on the other side – and when I flipped it over, this bug was still moving! There were also little black spots around it, so it must have been there for a while. I immediately threw both pillows on the floor. My mom was already asleep, so I didn't call the front desk. I just snapped a few photos and stepped on it a couple of times, thinking it was dead. But when I got up to check before turning off the lights to sleep, even its body was gone! Its willpower is truly something. It didn't look like a cockroach, and I was so scared it would crawl back up that I woke up many times throughout the night... The front desk lady who checked me in was really nice though; she was very patient and told me I could call the front desk with any issues.
This is an old hotel, but it's very well-maintained, and the quality is still top-notch! I stayed here once about 10 years ago and hadn't been back since. This hotel used to be quite the place back then! I'm delighted to have had the chance to stay again. Both the facilities and service are excellent, and the location is super convenient. I'll definitely come back if I have the opportunity! Also, a big thank you to Luke Lee at the front desk for his very warm welcome during check-in!

For my trip to Chongqing this time, I once again chose the hotel on Longmenhao Old Street. I discovered this gem about a year and a half ago during a business trip. Back then, I passed by 'Banshan' and it was still under renovation, but it quietly piqued my interest. This time, I finally got to stay there. It's exactly the民國 (Minguo/Republic of China) style I adore. The architecture is absolutely stunning; even the tops of the windows are carved, which I assume are original features of the building. Upon closer inspection, some parts of the decor are a bit rough, and the amenities aren't as comprehensive as other hotels. However, it offers great value for money. The hotel's housekeeper was incredibly enthusiastic and helped us carry our two very large suitcases in and out. The location is excellent. We were able to walk to see the New Year's Eve drone show. Xiahao Li itself has many places to explore. There's so much delicious food around that staying here for two days makes it easy to gain weight! 😂 Plus, the hotel has very cute cats, which is a bonus [chuckle]. And the hotel coffee is also very good.

This B&B boasts an excellent location in the upper-middle part of the Xiahaoli Old Street scenic area. It's a tranquil retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, with its charming, undulating stone paths offering a delightful walk. The front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful, helping with our luggage both at check-in and check-out, carrying it all the way down to the bottom of the hill. For breakfast, there were three options; I loved the Western set, while my partner preferred the Chongqing noodles. You can get extra servings of the main dishes, and everything was beautifully prepared. The B&B is close to the subway, and it's easy to catch a taxi down the hill. Before 9 am, you can enjoy a peaceful Xiahaoli, exploring the countless winding staircases and alleyways that connect everywhere, and admiring the stunning views of the orange-red Dongshuimen Yangtze River Bridge and the magnificent skyscrapers on the opposite bank from various angles. In the evenings, after a long day, you can relax in your room, sip tea, and listen to the live music from the nearby bars. After 10 pm, the scenic area's lights turn off and the shops close, leaving Xiahaoli wonderfully quiet. A truly excellent stay!

Stayed in Chongqing for 3 days and honestly had a 100/100 experience 😍
The location is perfect—super convenient and easy to get anywhere. The room was very clean and comfortable, and you can really tell they take cleanliness seriously.
It felt so cozy and relaxing, almost like being at home. The price is also very reasonable for what you get, which made it even better.
If you’re planning to visit Chongqing, I’d definitely recommend staying here.😉

Wulong has beautiful mountains and waters. For my first visit, I chose to stay at this unique guesthouse. I tried the yurt-style room for one night, and it was great – spacious and clean. It's a shame the clouds were thick that night, so I couldn't see the stars. The staff were very helpful; they even gave us a ride to the tourist center the next day.
The room was clean and the service was excellent. I was especially touched by the warm and attentive service in the hotel's breakfast buffet area. From the moment I entered, I was proactively guided to a table, and during the meal, plates were cleared promptly and drinks were refilled without me even asking. The service was meticulous throughout. When I inquired about a dish, they patiently explained everything, which made me feel very comfortable. A big thumbs up to Sister Wang Xiu from the restaurant for her warm service! 👍

HHalingdelvxingThis inn is nestled within the ancient town of Gongting, part of Chongqing's Wujiang Gallery. The proprietress is a beautiful and kind-hearted woman; though she's a woman of few words, it's clear from the meticulous upkeep and decor of the inn that she pours her heart into cultivating her own little haven. The riverside rooms all boast excellent views. Especially after a rain, Gongting Ancient Town, shrouded in mist, radiates an incredible beauty. In that moment, I suddenly understood the color 'azure' – it truly exists. I wholeheartedly recommend this inn to anyone staying in Gongting Ancient Town; it's absolutely worth it.
GGenOhlsonA cosy family-friendly enchanted hideaway in the mountains with the clouds. The whole place seems to have been a long-time passion in creating the most charming and comfortable inn from conception to realisation with both the exterior and interior decorated in either a rustic country cottage or a European apartment style from the last century. We were so happy here and my child especially appreciated the room and all of its surroundings.
Every nook and cranny of the place is excellently utiilised. From the dining room as well as the main outside eatery balcony, one has a beautiful view of the mountainside in all its greenery with butterflies flitting amongst flowers. Don't forget to check out the third story balconies and the library. Screen projector fittings are in place for a medium-sized conference. The place even has a couple of majiang table nooks should you want to play with friends.
The surrounding forest environment of the inn is all sorts of paths and green terraces going off in different directions. There is a playpark for children with its own pedal-powered mini-roller coaster and other items for children to climb on.
There is an off-site pond and ancient stone bridge nearby. One can take a short hike up the driveway and explore the diverging walking track paths. There's also an ecological technology exhibition centre not far up the road from the inn.
A large portion of the clientele when we were there were day trip visitors in family and friend groups. Big tables as well as KTV facilities could be booked for the day.
The food quality is fantastic and the portions generous. There are no nearby shops so all meals are taken in-house; the staff will consult you about when and what is on offer from the extensive menu. You can specify whether you'd want your food spicy or not when possible depending on the dish.
The genuinely friendly and accomodating staff take such good care of you and step in whenever they feel you may need some assistance. My child had a bad cough at the time, and they were so kind bringing her hot drinks with honey and offering medicine they happened to have there.
My Chinese is not good, but with a standard translation app, you're able to communicate what you need and the staff are so obliging to help. They genuinely do seem to be happy to be working there, and cudos and credit it to the owner for taking such good care of the staff that they in turn carry it over to their care for their guests. It was a pleasure to meet them and the owner.

MMさん。”I’ve seen comments saying that the cheaper single rooms in China tend to reek of cigarette smoke, but thankfully this hotel had no tobacco smell at all—that was a plus.
That said, it didn’t feel as clean as the reviews suggested. Still, the owner was friendly, so I’d say it’s fine overall.”
GGuest UserMy hotel stay this time was simply perfect! From the moment I stepped in, the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming. Check-in was super-efficient, and they thoughtfully recommended local attractions and delicious restaurants, instantly making me, a visitor, feel oriented. The room was spotlessly clean and completely odor-free. The bedding was so soft and comfortable that even I, someone who usually struggles to sleep in new beds, slept soundly until morning. Its proximity to a subway station made getting around a breeze, and with plenty of shopping malls and food streets in the vicinity, all my dining and entertainment needs were covered. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit!
GGuest UserAn absolutely amazing stay that exceeded all my expectations! The floor-to-ceiling windows offered an incredible, unbeatable view of the river, including Raffles City. Sitting by the window, gazing at the distant scenery, the entire city skyline was laid out before me. Both the cleanliness and the facilities were impeccable, and the soundproofing was excellent. The owner was incredibly attentive and accommodating, always ready to help with anything. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Chongqing!

JJo TehThe property could benefit from some updates and maintenance. One of the queen bedrooms was converted from a balcony, making it extremely cold during winter. Additionally, the heater in one of the rooms next to the hall was not working, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep through the night.
The bathroom in one of the rooms remained choked throughout our stay, and overall, the bathrooms were not thoroughly cleaned. The kitchen also lacked proper cleanliness, which was disappointing.
On a positive note, the view from the hall was decent, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to make up for the shortcomings in comfort and cleanliness.

AAskeRMThe best hotel we’ve experienced in China. We are budget travelers by all means but this was just insane for the price. Maybe because we visited in early December, but we were immediately upgraded
from a single queen bed room to a double queen bed with river view room. The cleanliness was top notch and the amenities were nice too. Thank you very much

GGuest UserTraveling with three friends to Fairy Mountain, we chose two twin rooms at Shiyili and had a fantastic experience! The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right next to the Tourist Center, making it easy to reach all the attractions. In the evenings, it was great to go out and explore the local food scene. The rooms were clean and tidy, and both beds were huge. With two rooms for the four of us, there was plenty of space, even for our luggage. The bedding was comfortable, so we slept wonderfully and had energy for our daytime activities. The hotel offers free luggage storage; after checking out, we left our bags at the front desk and enjoyed our last half-day exploring without any hassle. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, recommending great restaurants and off-the-beaten-path spots, which saved us a lot of trouble. The price was reasonable, and splitting the cost meant it didn't break the bank for any of us. Clean rooms, a great location, excellent service, and superb value for money – it's really the perfect place for a friends' trip. We were happy and stress-free, and we've already planned to come back in the winter!
