Overall Experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ (4.5/5)
Overall, I had a very pleasant stay at Citadines Tanjung Tokong. The check-in process at Level 2 was smooth and fast, with excellent service from all staff members. No deposit was required, which made the process even more convenient.
The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed and pillows were soft and provided a good night’s sleep. The room was well-equipped with two air-conditioning units (bedroom and kitchen area), Smart TV, ironing facilities, refrigerator, work desk, dining table and sufficient power outlets.
The bathroom was spotless with strong water pressure and consistent hot and cold water temperature. Toiletries and towels were fully provided.
Hotel facilities were great. The swimming pool on Level 15 offers a nice city and bay view. A gym, washing machines, vending machines and towels are also available. WiFi speed was fast and suitable for work purposes. Elevators were fast, clean and comfortable.
Minor downsides include some noise from traffic and ambulance sirens, as well as a slightly slow automated parking system during peak hours.
The location is very convenient with easy access to food and nearby stores such as 99 Speedmart, Lotus’s and Happy Mart.
Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money under RM500. Highly suitable for solo travellers, business trips and small families. Would definitely stay again.

Staff was very proactive with all communications via WhatsApp from pre-check in, daily welfare check on guest and post-check out for feedback! I had some difficulty with my luggage and even though it’s my own issue, the staff did his best and assisted me all the way through!
Location of the accommodation is very much within walking distance of local food (dim sum & Bak kut teh) and international options like McDonalds, Starbucks, KFC, etc. A sizable mall is also across the road that has a nice supermarket, cafes, Mr DIY, Guardian, etc.
View from 19th floor was amazing and I’m very satisfied with the room’s amenities and facilities like the microwave oven, kettle, ceiling fans, air condition, shower, beds, etc. would love to be back if I’m ever in Penang again!
Great stay & peaceful environment. Thks Ardour Lodge if gt a chance will return back stay again.
Nice room with external private bathtub & landscape pool.
Adour lodge is strategically in tanjong tokong. Picked this accomodation for a short getaway during Merdeka weekend, enjoyed water activities at batu ferringi beach with family.
Love the stay and staffs are all friendly! Room was so spacious! Will definitely come back for a stay.
Just a small drawback which was the noise for my second morning, I complained about it and hotel mentioned was the mall beside and they can’t do anything plus it was a Sunday! Our friends who were staying in higher floor (30+) didn’t hear that, our floor located at 20 stg so maybe it depends on luck?
It's good. Much better than Ixora or Pearl View, and not that much more expensive too. The unit is spacious and very well equipped. I'm a big fan of the body wash, it's not the cheap ones. The luxury does shine through.
Mine only less than ideal experience is with the cleanliness of the unit. Maybe it's a less-booked room type and the staff don't regularly re-clean a vacant room, there are some dusty areas within the unit. Outside the unit, there are lots of cobwebs too. I'd recommend a more consistent cleaning schedule, but it's not that much of a problem.
My other gripe is my keycard suddenly stopped working when I returned to the unit on the second day. Took around 10 minutes to bring a replacement up to me, no explanation on why I was locked out too. Small issue but quite annoying at 11pm.
Otherwise, I really recommend this hotel, especially the two bedroom executive or premier. Washing machine in the unit is incredibly convenient. I love the peach-scented towels. Didn't make use of the kitchen or living room, but I imagine it'd be nice to have for a bigger crowd.
The hotel's location is a bit far from George Town, but taxis are readily available. Right across the street is the famous Seven Terraces Bazaar, which is where I had all my breakfasts since I didn't book the hotel's option. I'd give the hotel service five stars! The front desk staff were very enthusiastic, and for my two-night stay, they brought me a latte every day. The place was clean and tidy, though the room itself didn't have water provided; you had to go to the hallway to get it. Overall, I'd still highly recommend it.
Room: can hear noise from neighbour room & toilet lighting is quite dim.
Reception: encountered at least 5 different receptionist, majority are friendly, except the 1 chinese short hair lady who was so impatient when we enquired the hotel parking rate.
Location: is in the heart of Georgetown, near to Gama supermarket, Sunday Hin bus depot market & other famous eateries.
Parking: hard to get a public parking space , in that case, have to pay & park at the hotel car park, RM 7/ day. Should have been FREE for hotel guest. 🥲
My family and I had a great stay here, though there is room for improvement.
The place looks and feels a bit dated, which adds to the charm, except for when the air conditioning makes loud noises that disrupt the peace. One of the mattresses in our suite was also a little worn, sinking in every time we sit on it. We have to admit that our suite was big and cosy for all of us, with strong WiFi connection and Netflix.
Moreover, the breakfast could be better. We opted for the stay with breakfast included, and we all were served the same Big Breakfast set. It would have been nicer to have options to choose from.
This place has potential and I might consider staying here again.
this is my second time being here, hopefully can comeback here again for remind me to the memories

MM222784****Our three-day stay was excellent! The host was very welcoming, and as fellow countrymen, communication was seamless. The scenery was absolutely stunning, and it was truly great value for money. We had a wonderful time during our days in Penang! P.S. It was a great experience bringing our cat along too! 👍
