The bedding is clean, and they offer both soft and firm pillows to suit guest preferences. The sofa chair provides complete relaxation for muscles tired after a day of walking. The shower has precise temperature control and just the right water pressure, and the smart toilet is hygienic and reassuring. The front desk staff, especially one young man, was exceptionally helpful. Check-in was swift and efficient, and he even escorted me to my room, warmly introducing the hotel facilities and nearby specialty shops. His enthusiastic attitude was genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. A truly excellent check-in experience!"

It's also just a few minutes' walk to Zhonghua City Food Street, so you can enjoy dining, entertainment, and shopping all in one place. Transportation is also very convenient; it's close to the subway station, making it easy to get to Gulangyu Island Ferry Terminal, Nanputuo Temple, and Xiamen University. Clean rooms: The rooms are spotlessly clean, and the bedding is comfortable, ensuring a pleasant stay. Convenient facilities: Food deliveries are brought directly to your room door by a robot. The hotel also has a self-service laundry room, which is very handy for washing clothes in the summer."

"The rooms are great, very convenient for families with kids as there are rooms on different floors. The laundry room is spacious with many machines. The service is excellent, and the front desk staff, both the handsome men and beautiful women, are always smiling. They even provided children's toothbrushes. Zhongshan Road is right downstairs, and you can see it by opening the window. You can also easily walk to Dayuan Road, where you'll find three Michelin-starred restaurants and the local favorite A-Ji-Zai shop."

"Found a gem for our family trip to Xiamen! The Weishang Garden Hotel's family room is simply divine. It's in a prime location on Zhongshan Road, with a charming Nanyang retro vibe. Stepping out, you're surrounded by street food and shopping districts. It's super close to the ferry terminal and the Bashi market, saving us a lot of travel time. The room is incredibly spacious, bursting with a playful, child-friendly atmosphere. My kids instantly fell in love with the bunk bed with a slide, and the safety rails gave us parents peace of mind. There were dolls, building blocks, and a small tent – enough to keep the little ones entertained for half the day, meaning we didn't have to keep an eye on them constantly. The room also features a private little balcony, and the faint scent of tea in the corridor made us feel instantly relaxed upon entering. The entire room is equipped with smart devices, and the toiletries were clean and high-quality. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the floor is covered with soft mats, so we didn't have to worry about the kids bumping themselves while running barefoot. Robot delivery is available 24/7, and the concierge was incredibly responsive to our requests. The bedding was soft, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. It's spacious and comfortable enough for a family of three or even families with two children. Our kids were already asking to come back next time we left. "It's been 20 years since I last visited Xiamen, and now I'm back again. This time, I chose this hotel, and I'm really glad I did. The location is super convenient – it's a 10-minute walk to the metro station, there's a bus stop right outside, and taxis are always available. The environment is lovely, it's close to the beach, and Gulangyu Island is directly opposite. Getting to the ferry terminal is quick and easy too. It's also a great spot for sightseeing, with the famous No. 1 Zhongshan Road nearby and Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street just a stone's throw away. "The room matched the pictures perfectly, and I absolutely loved the decor style. All the facilities were beautifully arranged, and it was exceptionally clean, which made for a worry-free stay. The surrounding transportation was very convenient. The air conditioning was great, and the front desk staff was super nice. It took less than a minute to walk to Zhongshan Road, making getting around really easy. It was just a few minutes by taxi to Gulangyu Island. Coming back from Gulangyu at night was also very close, no need for a taxi at all. Overall, the environment was excellent, the service was superb, and it was very clean. Even for someone like me with sleep issues, it was very quiet. Highly recommend!"

"This hotel has a unique Southern Fujian (Min-Nan) charm. It's built around a large courtyard, with four buildings, each containing its own small courtyard, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. The hotel staff contacted us in advance to arrange a shuttle, which was a huge help, especially since I had luggage. The service from the front desk to housekeeping was excellent. The bedding was comfortable, and even the public areas were spotlessly clean. The breakfast was also very exquisite. I'd love to come back again in the winter."

"How do I even begin? My flight was diverted to Fuzhou because of the typhoon, but I never expected Typhoon Bawi to lead me to another hidden gem of a place to stay! It was a delightful surprise. **Facilities**: Located on the mid-to-high floors of Shimao Tower, it offers a breathtaking panoramic view! The entire building was supervised by the Shimao Group, and its three-layer steel frame is incredibly sturdy – I barely felt a thing during the typhoon. The InterContinental Hotel is downstairs, but being so high up means the view is uniquely spectacular. I'd love to try an even higher floor next time! Waking up to sunlight piercing through the clouds was absolutely stunning. It has a small kitchen (I guess you could call it that), a microwave, and a fridge (that super discreet fridge gets a big thumbs up!). The electric double-layer curtains complete what feels like an absolutely fantastic, hidden treasure of a place. **Hygiene**: It was incredibly clean. Although it's described as a B&B, it's practically a hotel, with its own independent system, a huge Xiaomi TV that's great for casting, strong compatibility, and fast Wi-Fi. The signal was decent even at that height. There were absolutely no strange odors – I'm quite sensitive to smells (both good and bad), but this place was completely odorless, just very clean. **Environment**: Being a Shimao Group property, issues are resolved pretty quickly. The hallways are cleaned daily, and all sorts of necessities are provided, including a new electric kettle. The heavy rain had washed the surroundings clean and bright. It's in a central location, just a short walk to Ba Fang Hui shopping mall, and the subway station is right to the left – very convenient. **Service**: The host is wonderful. If they're busy and can't reply immediately, they'll apologize, though it's really not their fault. In short, they're always responsive to questions and don't give vague or unhelpful answers, nor do they handle things with a bad attitude. Their directions are also very clear, which solves the common problem of finding your way when a B&B is located above an international hotel. (They even shared typhoon preparedness tips with me, but thankfully, Zhenhai Tower did its job this time, and the full force of the typhoon didn't hit.) Every morning, they'd ask if I needed anything or if I wanted the room cleaned, which was very thoughtful. They're great at helping with problems, and I really appreciate the host's warm hospitality. **Final thoughts**: There are two minor issues, which are common for high-rise B&Bs. First, getting food delivery is a bit complicated and inconvenient due to property rules, location, and other odd factors. Second, transferring elevators can sometimes be time-consuming and a hassle. But the moment you stand by the floor-to-ceiling window and see Fuzhou, all those minor inconveniences just disappear. It's fantastic, and I hope to stay here again and enjoy the experience next time!"
