Hotel building and property are huge and well located if you want to visit panda breeding center. Free shuttle is also provided. Breakfast is ok, but nothing exceptional, no fresh juice and coffee poor quality. Overall English knowledge is very low. Unfortunately smoking is allowed and it ruins totally experience when you enter the spa and the staff is talking to you whilst smoking. Just unacceptable.

1) Subway station is 30 seconds right across the road. 2) Location is good because it is enveloped by a few famous narrow alleys selling handicraft, snacks, desserts, souvenirs, Chinese artwork etc, and have endless food stalls, coffee shops that surround the hotel, buzzing with activities all day till at least 11pm. 3) Hotel staff speak minimal English but they do understand it albeit not able to converse freely. Naturally using PTH is best. 4) Staff in the entire hotel are very friendly, courteous, pleasant and accommodating, trying to help in any way possible. 5) Bespectacled night manageress in a black suit was very welcoming and sweet. She offered to upgrade us when the room originally assigned for us was not as quiet as we had requested when we booked it. She led us to see the original one ( 2/F )and the other one ( the quieter one on 3/F ) and let us choose. 6) The upgraded room ( 3/F ) was a suite and it was really nice --- very quiet with courtyard view and tasteful lay out. 7) Cannot praise enough for the delightful suite -- spacious and elegant ; super clean ; smells nice , refreshing and just right not overwhelming ; white crispy bed linen ; daily turn down service; endless supply of fresh bottled water on daily basis ; spotless tumbler and fresh bottle of water by the bedside table every evening; everything you touch is spotless ; wooden flooring matching Chinese wooden furniture in simple design giving out this classy Chinese feel ; free to consume anything for the 1st time in the mini bar ; tea & coffee replenished daily ; kettle and coffee machine; free stationery like scissors, stapler, clips, pencil and pens etc; toiletries like vanity set, combs, toothbrush etc replenished daily ; spacious bathroom with double wash basins and clean white towels ; wash basins in rose gold but not tacky; shower drainage not smooth on 1st night but they fixed it and no prob thereafter ; water pressure from shower was good and plenty of marble top inside shower room for your own toiletries ; bathtub with fresh rose petals on 1st night and various types of bath salt ; big screen to watch telly while in tub ; separate toilet near living room; ample wardrobe space and power operated blinds and black out blinds. They provide steam iron on request but it would be better to have a proper flat iron if you want to press pants and other thicker harder material. Steam iron is only good for silk or plain cotton. Even linen is better with a flat iron. 8) This is a 100% Chinese ambience hotel from lobby to our suite but nothing is gaudy or ostentatious because everything is simple, no fuss, low-key, very clean, good architecture, functional and all colour combo is soothing to the eyes. 9) We ate at their restaurant the 1st night and food was ok -- dan dan noodles slightly overcooked so it was a bit mushy. Fried rice was a huge serving with fresh shrimps and nicely cooked. Tea could be hotter. Service was attentive, efficient and proper.

I stayed here twice for a night each as I was headed out of Chengdu via Chengdu east station. Both times the hotel helped to keep my luggage while I was away. The location is really convenient, just a short walk from the train station. The room may be small for two but it’s just right for one. There is a Family Mart convenience store nearby too so I always head there to get supper. Overall, very cost-effective, highly recommended.

Great comfortable stay in this hotel. The place was clean and warm. The location is strategically located within 5 minutes walk to the entrance of JiuZhaiGou park (to the right) and nearby eateries (to the left). There’s a MCD just downstairs, and a small convenience store next to it as well. Especially thankful to have the front door service staff, Mr Klein and another lady, who were extremely patient and helpful with all our needs and concerns. They were friendly and efficient with getting our needs, and showed professionalism. Overall the room was satisfying, the heater was working well, warm shower did not require long waiting, and all the amenities were provided. Only thing is that the water pressure is slightly low, but considering the location, I’m not complaining! We also had their breakfast for two days in a row, it was delicious. Served from 7am, with much variety of food (not repeated the next day) including western (bread, pastries, cereal) and Chinese food (porridge, fried rice, steamed buns, sautéed vegetables). Would recommend!

Used to stay at Mercure in Suzhou and was so satisfied but this is totally different. Though the location is convenient, the building looks like being abandoned. I booked a superior room and was given a room that seemed even worse than their Standard room. No sofa and not so convenient toilet and batheoom design. There are molds. One coke in fridge was deformed. Now understand the bad reviews given by other guests.

The best part of the hotel is the customer service. The receptionists are friendly and always ready to assist. The cleaner cleans swiftly after we left the room. Room is clean, toiletries complete, towels thick and fluffy, the bed is comfortable and has massaging option, water pressure is strong, and has air filter. It is conveniently located at the bar street. So much to see and do. But also because of this, it does get noisy. There is a club which blasts music the whole night until 8.00 a.m. the next day. So, you can ask for ear plugs if you want a goodnight sleep.

As soon as the lockdown was lifted in Chengdu, we went to Mount Qingcheng on September 19. There were very few people affected by the light rain. The hotel is located in the Houshan Scenic Spot of Mount Qingcheng (the ticket for the scenic spot is 20 yuan) and it is in the ancient town of Tai'an. There is a disposable toilet seat, full of details! Interior decoration and hygiene are very good! The boss is very accommodating, and the experience of staying is very good! There are a lot of home-cooked dishes and local specialties nearby (recommended to try the three kinds of wax, all kinds of wild vegetables, steamed fish), we basically eat all the local wild vegetables and it tastes good! I stayed for two days in a row and it was very comfortable. It is worth staying for a few more days when I have time to experience the quiet environment in the mountains!

Friendly staff. Walking distance to shops, theatre, restaurants and amenities. A friend dropped her watch which they kept it for us until we returned to Chengdu 10days later. We joined the tour company located on the ground floor with a reasonable price. Overall we had a great experience with the hotel. Highly recommended for anyone, it is a child-friendly hotel too.

Beautiful hotel!! The staff were so helpful and friendly. One of the staff members even let us use his phone number to order food because we did not have a Chinese number. It is a very short walk to the station and they have a convenient location for pick up/drop off if you want to take a DiDi or taxi. The room was very clean and the view was beautiful. It was also sound proofed very well.
