The hotel is directly opposite JR Station, making it super convenient to get around. Hakodate Morning Market is right behind it, and it's just a 20-minute walk to the Hakodateyama Ropeway. This is actually the hotel featured in the Detective Conan movie 'The Million-Dollar Pentagram,' and it's filled with Conan-themed elements! The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast spread is fantastic.

The hotel is a bit of a walk from the main attractions, but the service is excellent. You can even store your luggage a day in advance. It's super convenient for getting around, as it's not tied to one specific metro station, meaning you have easy access to many lines.

The room was spacious with a nice view. I requested a quiet room, and they gave me one at the end of the hall, which I didn't mind as it was indeed quiet. However, I found it a bit far from the JR station, so I might not stay here next time. Also, there's no washing machine.

The room isn't huge, but there's just enough space to open a large suitcase. It boasts an unbeatable window view, a rooftop onsen, and a washer/dryer combo which is incredibly convenient. It's also very close to the JR station. Excellent value for money! 👍

Dai-ichi Takimoto lived up to its reputation! The bathhouse is wonderfully spacious with a great variety of pools, so much so that there's even a recommended bathing sequence – I only discovered it on the steam room's exterior wall on my second day, and it was quite an eye-opener! There are also three charming outdoor pools with beautiful views. The staff were all very attentive. We didn't book dinner, but breakfast was fantastic – a rich selection of high-quality dishes. (Note: there aren't many restaurants on the hot spring street outside, especially in the evening. I'd recommend the ramen shop for lunch and the seafood rice at the onsen market for dinner.) The twin room in the South Wing was very spacious, the facilities were modern, and the view from the window was lovely. My only gripe is the somewhat impractical layout. Firstly, I'm not sure if it's because of the integrated bathroom unit, but the bathroom itself was tiny and cramped, forcing us to use the main bathhouse in the mornings and evenings. Secondly, the wardrobe was placed in an awkward spot, making it inconvenient to open and access clothes. I genuinely suggest they visit some mid-range hotels in China, like those under the HUAZHU Group's Ji Hotel brand, to see how they ingeniously solve these design challenges.

The room was spacious enough for four suitcases. We also enjoyed the hot spring bath upstairs. My travel companions loved it! There's a convenience store right downstairs, which was very handy. I especially loved the pillows in the room; I slept so well every night that I wish I could buy one to take home. It's only a 10-minute walk to Daimaru, Susukino, and Tanukikoji. The airport limousine bus from New Chitose Airport stops right in front of the hotel's South Wing, and for the return trip to the airport, you just need to cross the street to catch the bus. Super convenient! I'll definitely book this place again on my next visit.

The hotel is conveniently located beside Sapporo Station (linked via underground). The airport limousine bus also convenient stops right outside the hotel. However, the smallest room (double bed) can be a little too small for 2 people to stay in. Do opt for the bigger options for more comfort (that's what we did eventually, and topping up the difference)

We were there January 2026. Wonderful winter, wonderful snows that no words can describe. Overall we satisfy especially with the cleanliness of the room, bathroom is SUPER CLEAN! Congrats Rembrandt! They provide coffee/tea, kettle, slippers, and cute night gown 😊 in the room. And they tidy up the rooms everyday during our 3days stay. Theres window to view the snows. I absolutely loved this Lavista hotel! The breakfast was fantastic, with a great spread including salmon, sweet shrimp, ice cream, and pudding. There's a direct bus to Hakodate Airport right nearby, costing 700 yen, and it's conveniently located next to Meijikan. There are also plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. The Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses are just a 2-minute walk away, which is super handy for buying snacks and souvenirs. The onsen (public bath) was excellent, with good quality body lotion and hair conditioner provided. There were several outdoor baths, which were very relaxing. Plus, after a soak, you get free ice cream! It's about a 15-minute walk to both the Hakodateyama Ropeway and Hakodate JR Station. The views of Mount Hakodate are also beautiful. Highly recommend!
