Great stay! The room was spotless and very tidy, and the hot springs were incredibly relaxing – super satisfied. The staff were all really warm and proactive, and their English was good, which made communication easy. The location is super convenient too, right where the bus drops you off.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. The room was absolutely beautiful, designed in a traditional Japanese style, which made the experience feel very special and authentic. One of the highlights was the stunning view of Mount Fuji from the window in the morning — it was truly unforgettable. We would definitely love to come back again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Seriously, just for the shuttle bus service alone, this hotel is an absolute game-changer. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Mount Fuji. First off, we traveled from Atami to Mount Fuji, and we booked the hotel's shuttle bus from Mishima Station to the Lake Kawaguchiko hotel. This transport saved us so much time and money getting to Mount Fuji. Then, the hotel also provides a shuttle to Kawaguchiko Station (a very important transport hub). The breakfast was decent, but considering the hotel's price, it was more than satisfactory. Plus, they offer seating in the lobby where you can eat food bought from outside. If you get thirsty, there's a water dispenser, and their disposable toiletries are comprehensive – the brand is Pola, the same as their shampoo and body wash, which is a very good brand in Japan. It's rare to find such service in a 3-star hotel.

Honestly cleanliness wise, -1 for it being just a little dusty floor (but you have slippers) and you may see the wood furnitures has some scratches due to age but otherwise you can expect a clean space 😁 location is about 10 min walk to bus station, Lawson and theme park. Has shuttle bus service to Fujikyu Highland Bus station & vice versa, so you don't need to go through other transportation hassle with your luggage. Service is impeccable with all friendly smiles and attention whenever they see you at their main service centre in the property. Every villa has rooftop full Mt Fuji view but if you want window Fuji view from inside your villa that will see your luck as you may be blocked by other villas. Nevertheless would recommend staying here for any family or group of friends. Decent facility to stay in and not go anywhere in Kawaguchiko too. Picture of rooftop view and around villa walkway.

A hidden gem of a hotel with spectacular views of Mount Fuji! I booked a random room just a week before Golden Week, and upon entering, I was immediately struck by how spacious and bright it was. The room itself was also very roomy and incredibly clean. Both of their hot springs offer direct, panoramic views of Mount Fuji! The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the breakfast restaurant started my day off beautifully. It happened to be Children's Day in Japan, and the hotel thoughtfully provided games and movies for the kids. I was very satisfied with this stay. I highly recommend staying two or three nights – it's truly rejuvenating.

Excellent hotel although old, but with the service and nice dinner and breakfast, it's definitely worth a try. It has 3 different types of onsen (indoor - i didn't try it), open air (facing 2 sides - 1 towards lake and the other 1 towards Mt Fuji, but do bear in mind they switch by gender the next day), and also 1 more onsen bath at my room (for my room type). So we enjoyed the onsen session. We even paid for the private onsen (facing Mt Fuji) but it's not as good as the open air public one, but still ok due to the privacy. Staffs are indeed very kind and friendly.

Our stay was fantastic! The hotel's shuttle bus made getting around super convenient, and the staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and had excellent service attitudes. The room was spotless, impeccably clean, and very comfortable. The biggest surprise was being able to see Mount Fuji directly from our room's balcony – the view was absolutely stunning and breathtaking. Breakfast offered a great variety too. The hotel's overall environment was very peaceful, making for a truly relaxing stay. We'd definitely consider coming back here again!

We spent our anniversary with my girlfriend in Kaneyamaen, and our experience was above and beyond. Starting with the shuttle option provided by the hotel from Mishima station, which also took us to Oshino hakkai, what a gorgeous place, before ending up at the hotel. We were really satisfied of our driver who shared facts about Yamanashi prefecture and Fuji. Our check-in process was also a really nice experience. From the moment we arrived we felt the hospitality of the hotel service crew. They escorted us to our room and helped with our luggage. Staying at a Sanri-Comfort Western Room, we had access to 2 lounges, where in one of them we had access to many kind of amazing wine from Yamanashi, among other tasty snacks. We choose our yukata and headed for matcha tasting. This is located in another part of the building which also gives us a peak at the wonderful garden. The matcha and snack we received helped us settle in with the calm garden view. Then came dinner. My god, the dinner was above and beyond. Neither of us had an 8 course dinner before with such a perfect service and absolutely amazing food. Hats of to the restaurant and service crew. Truly impressed. We decided to walk of the calories in the hotels beautiful garden at night. The illumination creates a really romantic experience. After this, we attended the Taiko drum show, which is organized by the hotel crew. First time for me and I can say it definitely made our experience even more special. Fantastic work. Then the star of the show. The open-air bath on the balcony. The sight of Mt. Fuji early morning from the bath, was a magical experience which we'll never forget. The buffet breakfast provides a great selection of food and drinks, rest assured we left very pleased. All in all, this was an extraordinary stay for us. Nothing but max points. Wish we'll have the chance to visit again.

Avoid at all costs! It's infested with bugs, and the service is terrible if you're not Japanese or white. When I arrived, I was given a room on the 3rd floor with a balcony facing a rooftop and AC vents. I asked for a higher floor, and the front desk pretended not to understand, then switched me to a room on the second floor, first row. That evening, I thought the view was unobstructed and great, and I wondered why this room wasn't fully booked when I moved. The bathroom was on the balcony, and when I went to shower, I found it swarming with thousands of bugs (no wonder the lower floors were empty). I had no choice but to use the public onsen. I hoped it might be better the next day, but in the morning, the balcony was still covered in bugs, and the outdoor bath was also full of them. It was completely unusable, which was a shame given the view. The service was exceptionally poor for Japan. The old man who brought the towels knocked three times within 30 seconds of arriving and had a sour face when I opened the door. In the morning, he completely ignored us downstairs but bowed and enthusiastically greeted white guests with a 'Good morning.'

I booked this room specifically for the Mt. Fuji view. It was much cheaper than other hotels in the area, but really, all you're getting is the view and a place to sleep. I hadn't booked a room with an outdoor hot spring, but there wasn't even a bathtub in the bathroom, nor a large public bath. For this price, I really think there should be a tub. For meals, sukiyaki was the only option, so thankfully I'd bought some ready-to-eat meals at 7-Eleven. The view was good though.
