This was our family present for Christmas :) We came with our 1,5 year old baby. We had such a great time, the hotel is spacious and quiet, so is the room. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Very good breakfast and exceptional dinner at Akko. The environment is green and peaceful and you can go for beautiful walks in the park just nextdoor. We had such a resourceful weekend <3
Holiday Inn Express Hasselt

You generally know exactly what to expect when you book a Holiday Inn Express. They are reliable. This one was a surprise though. While it had all the features I expect from the chain - clean, comfortable rooms with breakfast included, this hotel was actually a cut above the average Holiday Inn Express. The service was super friendly and efficient. The lobby was a bit nicer than other hotels, there are rooms with King sized beds available ( my only problem with most HIEX hotels is the tiny beds) and the breakfast had a better and higher quality selection. The location is great.- a few minutes walk from the central station and from the centre of the city, with great restaurants right around the corner. We will definitely stay again.
Hotel Zuid

We stayed here for 3 nights during Christmas, as we were visiting family nearby. The hotel and room do look lovely, as per the advertised pictures. There is ample parking and the breakfast is really good. However we felt let down after our stay. Our room (number 28) was really cold, all the time. There was no central heating, only an aircon unit that we occassionally got to blow out heat, but it never warmed the room completely. The bathroom was freezing cold and never dried fully. There is a wind up heating unit in the bathroom that needs to be wound up but it doesn’t dry anything. The bed didn’t have a proper matress, only a thin foam layer on top of a spring box set. Upon arrival (on 24/12), we didn’t receive the warmest welcome. We arrived in what seemed a closed hotel and had to ring the reception bell twice and wait a long time, before someone appeared and rushed us through check-in. It being Christmas eve, you’d expect something extra, a lovely message or an invitation to join the bar for festivities. But in the first sentence we were told abruptly the restaurant would be closed for the next couple of days due to Christmas. So it wasn’t the welcome we expected. All other moments we passed the reception/bar area, it was unmanned. During our stay, it honestly felt more like serviced rooms than a hotel. Which is fine if that’s what you’re looking for, but we booked a hotel during Christmas to get the hotel experience. Christmas or any other holiday should not be an excuse.
Hotel Ecu

Our stay at Hotel Ecu in July was great. The communication by email prior to arrival was timely and friendly and they answered all of my questions. On arrival we were greeted by the lovely Emma and she made sure everything we needed was sorted. The car parking was brilliant and secure using the hotels dedicated locked area. Emma had noted that our original booking request was for twin rooms but none were available. One had since become available and she had reserved this for us- thank you so much. Each day the staff were all friendly and chatty and helped us with any questions. They provide a kettle for our room when we asked for one. One of our rooms had a problem with the air conditioning and it was resolved within a few hours. The hotel is clean and modern inside (don't let the lack of kerb appeal put you off) and the beds were some of the comfiest we have ever stayed in. The location is perfect- opposite the bus and train station, on the main road and a few minutes walk from a lovely square with lots of great bars and restaurants and a mini market. The shopping centres (all within 5 mins walk) are brilliant and have everything you need and more great places to eat. On a Thursday night the town comes alive with outdoor DJ's and street food vendors- its a great atmosphere. We were attending a Karting event at Karting Genk; only 10 minutes up the road, so a perfect place to stay for visiting the track. We would definitely return. Thank you.

Wonderful place to enjoy a relaxing weekend with children: warm and cozy swimming pool, sauna that can be privatizedd, restaurant, daily hotel room with two bedrooms, and all the fun in one place. We recommend this place also for great walks on the natural park next door and the museums and markets at Maastricht near by.
Center Parcs Vossemeren

At the end of July, we stayed in a newly refurbished premium lodge for 6 on the main lake by the bridge, this was great as was a 5/10 min walk from the main centre to the lodge with a beautiful view and close to the beach on the edge of the lake The lodge was well equipped, with bed linen, a good kitchen, clothes airer and a broom to sweep up during your stay. Outside we had a large table with chairs , parasol, and 2 sun loungers. (There is no air-conditioning, so bring a fan with you as the lodge did get quite warm) This was our first trip to Centre Parcs outside of the UK and it didn't disappoint. It's set out very much like Elveden Forest. The swimming pool has the normal rapids, a few slides, waves, lazy river, and baby/toddler area. We had pre booked some activities before we arrived. The laser battle inside Discovery Bay was so much fun, the teenagers and adults in our group loved it! We also enjoyed the escape room (pricey, but so are the ones in the UK) The AquaPark, Archery, Farm, and Paddleboarding were also good. The only activity we did, that disappointed us was the Wild Water Rapids (for children up to 16yrs) we thought this suited younger children no older than 11 or 12yrs. Our 13 and 16 year olds found it slow and boring. The Alpca walk was cancelled due to thunderstorms but we had a refund onto the wristbands to spend during our stay. All other activities went ahead even in the rain which was good as I had read mixed reviews on this. If you have allergies or food intolerances make sure you pack plenty of food as the restaurants don't cater well for this. The shop onsite does sell a small range of Gluten Free staples. It was easy enough to drive on and off site to nip out to local supermarket or to do a day trip into Holland or Belgium. I would definitely return to De Vossemeren.
Holiday Inn Hasselt

Nice hotel, but on the cheap side. No coffee machine on the room. Well, water cooker, tea and some solvent coffee. Booked via trip.com. Price and booking included breakfast, but at arrival there is no breakfast for that price. Also the confirmation email, which you receive when you have already paid, no comments on a breakfast (or whether it is with or not). Don't give much confidence to book it again via trip.com!
Radisson Blu Hotel, Hasselt
4.1/549 Reviews
The hotel situated in a modern tower block in the centre of town is functional. There is a commercial car park in the basement of the building. Beds were a little on the small size but managed to sleep OK. The quality of the breakfast was much better than expected. However, not really up to the standard I expect from a typical Radisson Blu hotel.
Park Inn by Radisson Hasselt
3.8/568 Reviews
The Park inn is the budget-end sister of the Radisson Blu and shares the same building in Hasselt. The Park Inn was quiet and reasonably comfortable whilst being basic and functional. There were positives but also errors which made the stay disappointing as detailed below: Service - staff were friendly, polite and reasonably helpful, although some problems could not be rectified by them. Room - average size, very clean, excellent view over city of Hasselt (7th floor room) Tea tray in room. Hairdryer in room No fridge No iron The hotel was exceptionally quiet and we saw virtually no guests other than those in our immediate party. With this in mind we had to take our breakfast in the adjacent Radisson Blu. A bit of a convoluted walk between the two with multiple corridors, elevators etc but nothing major. Radisson Blu breakfast was exceptional, fresh, in plentiful supply and of a high quality. Negatives: No iron available despite being included on list of amenities. Error with company booking/ invoice generation meaning all delegates were asked to settle their own bills. No reasonable attempt made to remedy the situation by management despite our company having a signed contract. Windows in rooms do not open so no option for fresh air from outside. Air con present in room and working but not wonderfully efficient. Lights flickering in corridor during all 3 days of our stay.
Hotel Stayen

The hotel is a football hotel. It is a little bit of a walk around the room. The corridor is like a labyrinth, but there is a big football training ground downstairs. It seems to have a game on the weekend. There are many restaurants next to it. The breakfast is very rich.
