The hotel's location is convenient; there's a subway station right downstairs. The hotel also has a food court on its second basement level, and it's right next to Raffles City, not far from popular attractions. The staff are warm and attentive. I booked the LOFT Riverside 180 room type, which offers excellent views. The room layout is reasonably designed, and it's kept clean. My personal cons: 1. Although there are two bathrooms, only the upstairs one has a shower. 2. There's nowhere convenient to hang clothes in the entire room. You can't really hang wet clothes in the wardrobe, and the hooks on the bathroom wall are neither convenient nor hygienic. 3. The bed is too soft and saggy, making it uncomfortable. My child preferred sleeping on the sofa.

We enjoyed your stay at the Westin immensely. - delicious breakfast with a generous spread! Very enjoyable and appreciated. - Very very comfortable bed. We came from an expensive 民宿 where the surroundings were beautiful but the bed was unsuitable for sleep. So this was such a great change. - Spa was a great experience - but the hotel voucher went unused because it was cheaper to buy on other apps. This made very little sense to us. - Lovely view from our room at night, and it was nice to soak in the bath tub and enjoy the night lights - Great location, walking distance to hongyadong, kuixing tower, jiefangbei, etc. - Lastly, the hotel runs a huge operation but their

This hotel offers great value for money, with its prime location being its biggest advantage. It's right next to the Jiefangbei commercial district, and there's a subway entrance downstairs, making getting around incredibly easy. The rooms are spacious and clean, well-equipped, and offer fantastic views – you can enjoy the city skyline right from your window, and the night view is especially stunning. You do need to transfer elevators, which is a minor detour but perfectly acceptable. While the hotel doesn't provide breakfast, there's a wide array of local eateries downstairs, so you can easily find authentic local snacks for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The service is thoughtful and attentive; the front desk staff are warm and patient, and the cleaning team is diligent and responsible, keeping the rooms spotless and odor-free. It was a very comfortable stay overall, a truly excellent experience, and definitely recommended.

This hotel is a top choice for family trips; everything was excellent, truly nothing to complain about. The service was impeccable and well-organized, and the breakfast was fantastic and orderly. The location is perfect, making it easy to walk or catch a taxi, with plenty of great food options nearby. This time we explored Dajing Alley, and I look forward to discovering more next time. We happened to be there for Valentine's Day, and they even had a special Valentine's themed elevator which was incredibly cute and heartwarming – the kids absolutely loved rushing to ride it every time we left and returned.

For our Chinese New Year family trip to Chongqing, we stayed 2 nights at the Hyatt and 2 nights at the Westin. Both have their pros and cons, especially since there's a significant price difference, so it really depends on how you compare them. The biggest, absolute biggest advantage of the Grand Hyatt is its location. Step outside and you're right on the pedestrian street, a stone's throw from Jiefangbei, making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere in the vicinity. Another major plus is its direct connection to the Grand Metropolitan shopping mall. It’s essentially its own building, with no other hotels sharing the space. When we first arrived, the mall seemed a bit deserted with many stores closed, but we gradually discovered that all the restaurants were Michelin-starred, and there was even a cinema and arcade games. The executive room came with a Dyson hairdryer, which was a nice touch. The bakery on the first floor is also excellent. We didn't get to try the roast duck upstairs, as it apparently requires advance booking. The executive lounge offers a live noodle station in the evening, but the other dishes felt more like fillers. The welcome fruit, a dried local specialty called 'baba gan', was a thoughtful touch. The downsides are also quite apparent. Primarily, the breakfast was very mediocre. The room view was poor; I knew beforehand it was a city view, but it was almost non-existent. Furthermore, we encountered a few unpleasant incidents. We arrived at 12 PM to check in and were told the room wasn't ready and would be available around 2 PM, suggesting we go for lunch first. I asked if we could get a room with a better view, and they said they'd give us one on the 35th floor. After lunch, when we returned at 2 PM, we were informed the room still wasn't cleaned and they could only offer us one on the 32nd floor. Later, when we wanted an extra blanket, we called multiple times, but it never arrived. Out of frustration, we had to contact Trip.com for a blanket for the first time. Despite these minor inconveniences, I still recommend it. Even after staying at the Westin, I still felt the location here was undeniably superior. The conclusion is that if you can overlook the breakfast and the window view, this Hyatt is definitely a viable option, especially considering the more affordable price.

I stayed at the Hilton in Chongqing for three nights and was satisfied with everything. It's very close to the subway station (Lianglukou) and Didi (ride-hailing) is also super convenient. There are plenty of food options nearby, including a Luckin Coffee right outside. The staff were amazing! Housekeeping Auntie Chen (I hope I got the name right) was incredibly thoughtful; she brought amenities for my child and even provided a bathtub liner and bath salts. Vickie and Jason at the front desk provided excellent service and even complimentary breakfast for one day. The concierge staff proactively helped me with my luggage both at check-in and check-out. It truly felt like a home away from home, especially for a mom traveling alone with a child! I recommend bringing a swimsuit. We forgot ours, otherwise, I definitely would have relaxed in the heated pool. I really enjoy swimming in winter.

Regent Chongqing deserves a perfect score! It truly lives up to its reputation as the pinnacle of luxury in this mountain city. From check-in to check-out, every single detail exuded elegance and thoughtfulness, completely redefining my high-end hotel experience✨. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the bellboy immediately took my luggage – I didn't have to lift a finger the entire time. The front desk staff were efficient and incredibly kind during check-in, even offering thoughtful recommendations for local authentic eateries, saving me the hassle of planning. The room was super spacious with breathtaking river views; the dazzling lights of Hongyadong at night were simply stunning. The bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, providing instant relaxation. All drinks in the minibar were complimentary and restocked daily. The Chongqing-specific snacks and custom bottled water were a lovely touch. High-end amenities like a Dyson hairdryer and daily face masks really elevated the sense of refinement. The dining experience at the hotel was also exceptional. Breakfast offered a vast array of choices, with authentic Chongqing noodles made to order and tasting truly original. Serving until 10:30 AM was a blessing for those of us who struggle to wake up early. The Chinese restaurant's dishes were exquisite and delicious. The chef even meticulously explained the ingredients and cooking methods – every bite was a delight. The executive lounge service was also incredibly attentive, always ready to assist, showing thoughtfulness in every detail. All staff members I encountered were exceptionally professional, whether at the front desk, house-keeping, or in the restaurant. Communication was prompt and patient, and any requests were quickly addressed. That feeling of being completely looked after, truly made me feel at home. This stay was absolutely perfect. I couldn't find a single fault, from the hardware facilities to the soft services. Because of this hotel, I've grown to love Chongqing even more! Next time I visit Chongqing, I will definitely choose Regent again. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a high-quality experience!👍

The environment is great, the location is easy to find, and the service is excellent. Downstairs, transportation is convenient, and it's easy to buy things. The hotel is only a ten-minute drive from Chongqing North Station... you can take the monorail, and it's just one stop away, very convenient. The monorail station is right next door. The service is very warm and proactive.

SShironamiThanks for the wonderful five-day stay! I had such a comfortable and restful time. Every evening, the hotel would bring us various traditional sweet soups they brewed themselves, which was a lovely touch. Getting around was super convenient too; we just called for the shuttle service and they responded very quickly. I also tried the singing bowl healing session, which was a truly relaxing and peaceful experience. I loved waking up each morning, drawing the curtains, and being greeted by the healing view of the mountains and wild nature. The third floor was relatively quiet, and we weren't disturbed by people soaking in the wild springs by the river, so privacy was well-protected. Booking the complimentary travel photography service was quick and easy as well, and some of the fixed shooting spots produced really great photos.

GGuest UserOverall a great place. Beautiful rooms of the highest quality in every regard. The best features are the hot spring pools in the rooms of course. The showers are also great( two in every shower room) Great quality TV with great sound. Good selection of movies( not the latest releases) but all free. Food at the hotell restaurants had good standard. The best we have experienced in China. But for double the price we would pay for the same quality Chinese food in Norway. Surprisingly! But keep clear of the pizza. It is actually just a frozen pizza type. Very small. We didn’t order any more western dishes after that, except for the Cesar’s salad. Which was good. The place is old now and a bit worn. But it’s still is very very beautiful and high quality. Where this hotell really shines is the services of the staff. Even if they don’t speak English and we don’t speak Chinese they are very patient. To a Norwegian it is almost too much. They carry your bags even when thy are too heavie and many for one person. They drive you you to and from your room if you have a villa. We got an upgrade from ordinary room with hot spring pool and double bed to a villa! Because we found 6 small worms in the shower room. I think this is pretty hard to avoid in such a sub tropical and humid environment. But we reported it to the staff and they immediately gave us an upgrade with a complementary big fruit basket. We were blown away by this huge upgrade. Only thing that was a bit negative and unexpected is the extra deposit fee which is quite high. I think this should have been more clearly informed in the hotell booking and hotell online page. We were a bit low on funds as Banyan tree was our last hotell stay in China before leaving and we were on a planned but tight budget. We solved it of course with our Mastercard but it caused a bit stress for us. And a second thing is that using Alipay instead of WeChat is more difficult at the hotell. ( not impossible)But without Chinese phone number you can’t use WeChat.

TTaiyangwenquandanThe room was fantastic, with a strong Chinese aesthetic. Most of the furniture and facilities were made of wood, which was very comfortable. There was even a mahjong table, though we couldn't gather enough people to play, haha! The bed was very comfortable. Upon check-in, we also received a complimentary enhanced hot spring experience. We chose lavender, and to our surprise, it was freshly brewed, which was a lovely surprise. After checking out, I left my power bank in the room, and it wasn't convenient to arrange a courier. Our butler, Xiaoya, brought it to us the next morning, for which I'm extremely grateful. Both the check-in and check-out services were excellent. When we left, we didn't even need to go to the front desk to check out, but the butler still chased us out from the front desk to say goodbye, ask about our stay, and see us off. Although breakfast for two was included when we booked the room, we didn't wake up in time. I'll definitely try it next time I visit!

SShanhaiyoulingjiPros: Great location, right next to the Glow (Halo?) building. Room service was quite responsive, and overall cleanliness was acceptable. Cons: Before 7 AM, it sounded like an absolute madhouse outside our room, with incredibly exaggerated screams, laughter, and clapping echoing non-stop. It felt like a party was happening right outside our door. I bet everyone on the 11th floor could hear it. It was so noisy I couldn't sleep, and all my positive feelings about the hotel plummeted! Around 8 AM, I couldn't take it anymore and called the front desk to complain. They said it was a few wedding parties doing some pre-wedding rituals or something. After my call, the noise finally subsided around 9:30 AM. I was already tired from traveling and just wanted to sleep in, but the noise gave me a headache, and I was yawning all day. Honestly, this isn't a budget hotel costing two or three hundred yuan, so such poor sound insulation is unacceptable, and it makes me question the management's competence. They clearly knew there would be pre-wedding activities the next day that would disturb other guests, but they neither informed us in advance nor arranged suitable floors or rooms. Even after a guest called to complain, the hotel seemed helpless, saying their staff tried to persuade them, but the wedding parties wouldn't cooperate. So, for 800 yuan a day, I'm supposed to tolerate nearly three hours of noise? Why should I be understanding and forgiving? I've stayed in many hotels during holidays, but this is the first time I've encountered such a situation. Noise from next door, commotion from upstairs – it seemed like three or four weddings were happening simultaneously that day. We, the guests, were just expected to put up with it. It was a serious disturbance, and the hotel's solution was just a perfunctory offer to upgrade my room next time or give a discount if my friends booked. After an experience like this, how could I possibly recommend this place to friends for a holiday stay? I advise anyone booking to ask if there are any weddings or events planned for the next day to avoid similar issues.

YYangxiansenshuoWe chose to stay in the South Bank district to avoid crowds and noise, and we're so glad we picked the Marriott. We stayed for 5 nights, going out late and returning early, and had a wonderful time exploring Chongqing. If we ever come back, we'll definitely choose this Marriott again. Room: We initially stayed in a city view room (4213), and then moved to a river view room (4301) for the last three nights. The room amenities perfectly matched the pictures on the OTA – classic but well-maintained, with everything you need. From the lobby greeters and front desk staff to housekeeping, everyone was incredibly friendly and super nice 😃. Of course, the night view from the river view room was even better! Location: Much more convenient than we expected. The subway station is right outside, it's a 20-minute taxi ride to the airport, and about 20 minutes to Chongqing North Station and East Station (for trips to Wulong and Fuling). Popular local restaurants in the surrounding residential area are just a short taxi ride away (starting fare). Breakfast: The greeters, supervisors, and service staff in the 29th-floor dining area were all so cheerful and energetic. The variety and quality of the food were excellent; we had breakfast there 5 times and never got tired of it! Public Areas: The swimming pool and the observation deck on the 51st floor offer an even better experience at night.
