I specifically chose this highly-rated 'influencer' hotel for my trip, and it certainly didn't disappoint! The location is unparalleled, with unobstructed high-floor views directly facing the Raffles landmark. No filters are needed for photos here; every shot looks amazing, especially at dusk when the setting sun hits Raffles' glass facade – the golden shimmer is absolutely breathtaking. The room decor is stylish and minimalist, with a clean and fresh overall color scheme. Light colors paired with metallic elements give it a luxurious feel. Every corner of the room is photogenic – the sofa area, by the window, the bathroom – you can strike a pose anywhere and it looks great. The highlight is definitely the famous transparent bathtub, placed by the window directly overlooking Raffles. Taking a hot bath while enjoying the city view and relaxing your mind is pure bliss! The bathtub also comes with ambient lighting and aromatherapy, making the experience feel truly special. The facilities are comprehensive: a smart toilet, HD TV, mini-bar – everything you could need. The bedding is soft and skin-friendly, making for a very comfortable stay. The bathroom is wet/dry separated, and the toiletries are from a niche fragrance brand that smells wonderful. The service is also very thoughtful; the staff are warm and attentive, check-in was quick, and they even offered welcome drinks. Any requests were promptly addressed. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit!

Our stay with the kids was fantastic! The downtown location is incredibly convenient, with the subway station right downstairs providing direct access to all the major theme parks – no hassle at all. The river and city views from our high-floor room had the kids clapping with excitement. They loved watching the bustling traffic during the day and the city lights at night, it was like a natural science lesson. The staff were incredibly patient, proactively helping us with the stroller and recommending some great family-friendly restaurants nearby. While transferring elevators was a bit inconvenient, the room was spacious and clean, and the bedding was so comfortable that the kids slept soundly. It's excellent value for money; I highly recommend it for families traveling with children!
Kempinski has been open for over a decade now. Upon checking in, I noticed that all the furnishings and facilities in the room, while perhaps excellent in their time, are now showing their age. The Sony TV, though a bit small, still has good picture quality. However, many of the room's features suffer from a lack of maintenance. Numerous buttons were slow to respond; for example, with the automatic curtains, I had to press the button many times before it would finally work. The TV remote also required multiple presses to get a reaction. The bedside lamp switch would turn the light on for a moment, then it would immediately flicker off. The mini-bar was extremely basic, offering only Nescafé instant coffee and simple tea bags, with just two bottles of mineral water. What was most bizarre was finding the mini-fridge locked, despite there being a price list for drinks in the mini-bar. After calling housekeeping, the fridge was unlocked when we returned, but it was completely empty. What are we supposed to consume then? What's the point of having a price list? The bed and pillows were both too soft; as soon as you sat on the bed, you would sink into the middle. The overall service awareness at this hotel doesn't live up to a five-star standard. Throughout my stay, aside from a cleaning lady on my floor who proactively greeted me, everyone else provided silent service, never speaking unless explicitly asked. There was supposed to be a complimentary 500ml fresh beer, but the front desk didn't mention it at check-in. When I called from my room to inquire, the person on the phone wasn't sure how to handle it at the front desk and didn't follow up on the issue. Breakfast variety was just average. I had hoped the European bread would be good, but there was only baguette and toast, and other dishes were also quite ordinary. The only thing that left a strong impression was the freshly cooked rice noodles, which had a very well-seasoned broth, and you could add pickled vegetables yourself. There was also no salt or pepper on the dining tables; you had to ask a server for them.

For families with kids visiting Chongqing, the Westin Hotel is a must-stay, offering unparalleled views of Chongqing's night skyline.
During the autumn break, I traveled with my child and even brought our dog 🐶. After contemplating between four five-star hotels in the Jiefangbei business district, I ultimately chose the Westin based on our travel needs. This five-star hotel did not disappoint. The front desk service was incredibly thoughtful, and the customer service小姐姐 (a polite term for a female staff member) was exceptionally attentive during our two-night stay.
The lobby features a unique wall adorned with framed Hermès scarves. From the comfort of your bed, you can gaze at the Jialing River, and the executive lounge is available for guests from 8:00 to 22:30.
Even if you're not staying overnight, you can still enjoy Chongqing's night views from up high for free! Be sure to visit the Westin's 54th floor for a spectacular view 🌃. The infinity pool is open to the public free of charge, so you can access the 54th floor even without a reservation. You'll need to transfer elevators from the 51st-floor lobby 🛗. If you're a guest, you can also access the 52nd-floor executive lounge. The night view is truly magnificent, with the buildings opposite displaying a rotating 'Hello Chongqing' message, perfect for photos [golden potato R][golden potato R].
I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time. I was a bit hesitant after comparing online, but it turned out to be a fantastic choice, no regrets! 🌟
Pros: Great location, right next to the Glow (Halo?) building. Room service was quite responsive, and overall cleanliness was acceptable.
Cons: Before 7 AM, it sounded like an absolute madhouse outside our room, with incredibly exaggerated screams, laughter, and clapping echoing non-stop. It felt like a party was happening right outside our door. I bet everyone on the 11th floor could hear it. It was so noisy I couldn't sleep, and all my positive feelings about the hotel plummeted! Around 8 AM, I couldn't take it anymore and called the front desk to complain. They said it was a few wedding parties doing some pre-wedding rituals or something. After my call, the noise finally subsided around 9:30 AM. I was already tired from traveling and just wanted to sleep in, but the noise gave me a headache, and I was yawning all day.
Honestly, this isn't a budget hotel costing two or three hundred yuan, so such poor sound insulation is unacceptable, and it makes me question the management's competence. They clearly knew there would be pre-wedding activities the next day that would disturb other guests, but they neither informed us in advance nor arranged suitable floors or rooms. Even after a guest called to complain, the hotel seemed helpless, saying their staff tried to persuade them, but the wedding parties wouldn't cooperate. So, for 800 yuan a day, I'm supposed to tolerate nearly three hours of noise? Why should I be understanding and forgiving?
I've stayed in many hotels during holidays, but this is the first time I've encountered such a situation. Noise from next door, commotion from upstairs – it seemed like three or four weddings were happening simultaneously that day. We, the guests, were just expected to put up with it. It was a serious disturbance, and the hotel's solution was just a perfunctory offer to upgrade my room next time or give a discount if my friends booked. After an experience like this, how could I possibly recommend this place to friends for a holiday stay? I advise anyone booking to ask if there are any weddings or events planned for the next day to avoid similar issues.

A conveniently located hotel with friendly and obliging counter staff. room was spacious and well equipped. Just be aware of the crowded loft situation and plan your journey ahead of time.
On a business trip, I stayed at this hotel. As soon as I entered the lobby, the front desk staff were very welcoming. The elevators are dedicated and each floor has individual access control. The room was also quite clean. Very satisfied!

The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options. The hotel is located in a bustling area, making it convenient for dining and shopping. Despite the many tourists, everything was well-organized. The service was attentive and meticulous. It's an older five-star hotel, but the facilities and environment are comfortable.

This is a lovely garden-style hotel, conveniently located right next to the Sacred Land Hot Spring. It's also quite close to the popular Xiahaoli attraction, just a 10-minute taxi ride away. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well-equipped with all amenities. Complimentary washing machines and dryers are available on the second floor. The front desk staff were very warm and welcoming.

MM509595****The Regent Hotel truly lives up to its reputation as Chongqing's top hotel. The service is exceptionally thoughtful, with the butler service being incredibly meticulous. The hotel environment is clean, tidy, and exudes elegant restraint. Both the lounge and Ba Lang restaurant offer first-class food. We were pleasantly surprised by the many Christmas decorations throughout the hotel. For first-time visitors to Chongqing, a stay at The Regent Hotel is a must-try experience; it will definitely enhance your trip significantly.
SShironamiThanks for the wonderful five-day stay! I had such a comfortable and restful time. Every evening, the hotel would bring us various traditional sweet soups they brewed themselves, which was a lovely touch. Getting around was super convenient too; we just called for the shuttle service and they responded very quickly. I also tried the singing bowl healing session, which was a truly relaxing and peaceful experience. I loved waking up each morning, drawing the curtains, and being greeted by the healing view of the mountains and wild nature.
The third floor was relatively quiet, and we weren't disturbed by people soaking in the wild springs by the river, so privacy was well-protected.
Booking the complimentary travel photography service was quick and easy as well, and some of the fixed shooting spots produced really great photos.

3300441****The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The lobby is clean, bright, and has a very grand, modern design. The service was especially thoughtful; we were able to check in early and also get a late checkout. The Christmas atmosphere was also really strong and enjoyable!
GGuest UserOverall a great place. Beautiful rooms of the highest quality in every regard. The best features are the hot spring pools in the rooms of course. The showers are also great( two in every shower room) Great quality TV with great sound. Good selection of movies( not the latest releases) but all free. Food at the hotell restaurants had good standard. The best we have experienced in China. But for double the price we would pay for the same quality Chinese food in Norway. Surprisingly!
But keep clear of the pizza. It is actually just a frozen pizza type. Very small. We didn’t order any more western dishes after that, except for the Cesar’s salad. Which was good.
The place is old now and a bit worn. But it’s still is very very beautiful and high quality.
Where this hotell really shines is the services of the staff. Even if they don’t speak English and we don’t speak Chinese they are very patient.
To a Norwegian it is almost too much. They carry your bags even when thy are too heavie and many for one person.
They drive you you to and from your room if you have a villa.
We got an upgrade from ordinary room with hot spring pool and double bed to a villa! Because we found 6 small worms in the shower room.
I think this is pretty hard to avoid in such a sub tropical and humid environment.
But we reported it to the staff and they immediately gave us an upgrade with a complementary big fruit basket. We were blown away by this huge upgrade.
Only thing that was a bit negative and unexpected is the extra deposit fee which is quite high.
I think this should have been more clearly informed in the hotell booking and hotell online page.
We were a bit low on funds as Banyan tree was our last hotell stay in China before leaving and we were on a planned but tight budget.
We solved it of course with our Mastercard but it caused a bit stress for us.
And a second thing is that using Alipay instead of WeChat is more difficult at the hotell. ( not impossible)But without Chinese phone number you can’t use WeChat.

MM0857****Our butlers, Xiao Zou and Xiao Chen, provided excellent service. Before we even arrived, they sent a video of the room to confirm the room type. During our stay, their responses were incredibly quick. Because the weather was so hot, I mentioned that the mini-fridge wasn't cold enough. They offered to bring some ice for my drinks, and to my surprise, they brought a huge box of ice! It hadn't even completely melted by the time we checked out the next day. 😊
GGuest UserThe ambiance is fantastic, and it offers excellent value for money. There are also plenty of great dining options nearby. The hotel boasts a spa, a well-equipped gym, and a lovely spot to enjoy night views. The rooms are meticulously decorated, spacious, and spotless. It genuinely offers incredible value. Highly, highly recommended!
The only minor downside is that sanitary pads provided by the hotel are not complimentary; they come with a charge. It would be a thoughtful gesture if single pads could be offered free of charge for female guests. While I didn't personally require one, having to pay for such an essential item in an emergency situation feels like a slight oversight in guest care.
MM389563****This stay was absolutely perfect! The lady at the front desk greeted me with a warm smile upon arrival, and the room view was incredible. The room itself was clean and tidy, and the bedding was so soft I slept like a baby. The breakfast spread was extensive, and even the freshly ground coffee was authentic. It's close to the subway station, making it very convenient for getting around. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chongqing, and I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip here! Jinx provided excellent service!
MM32122****Xiao Hua, who helped us check in, upgraded our room, and the breakfast was very rich. Xiao Zheng made the check-out process quick. I will choose this place again in the future.
