"If you are still looking for a hotel in Guilin, you can stop searching I rarely write such detailed reviews but this place really deserves it Everything here is amazing - from the location to the service. Every little detail is carefully thought out to make your stay comfortable, relaxing, and stress-free The staff impressed me the most. They notice small details and truly care about guests. At first, I was surprised that even staff members I had never met before already knew my room number. It was a little funny and unexpected 😄 But like this you understand the high level of the service Everyone was so kind to me and always ready to help 🥺 Even if someone doesn’t speak English, they quickly use a translator and do their best to solve any problem The room is beautiful and very comfortable. The bed and pillows are probably one of my favorite parts of the stay - I honestly did not want to leave them! The room has everything you need for a relaxing stay, including nice Chinese tea, coffee, and many small details that make you feel at home like bath salt. Another very useful detail for travelers is the free self-service laundry. When you travel for a longer time, having a place where you can easily wash your clothes is a huge advantage The breakfast was also a wonderful surprise. While traveling around China, I often found that hotel breakfasts were mostly focused on Chinese food, which can sometimes be difficult for international travelers. Here, there is also a great Western breakfast with enough choices Another amazing part is the number of complimentary experiences included in the stay. Fresh fruits every day, afternoon drinks with desserts, cultural activities, and more. Sometimes there are so many things to enjoy that you don’t even want to leave the hotel😅 I especially loved the Chinese calligraphy experience. Writing calligraphy while two lovely parrots sometimes came to sit on my shoulder felt like a real journey into traditional Chinese culture. You can also create small handmade souvenirs, which makes the experience even more memorable The location is perfect, with incredible mountain views all around. And one small detail that I really appreciated: the panoramic windows are always perfectly clean. In many hotels, beautiful views are ruined by dirty windows, but here you can fully enjoy the scenery P.S.: just one small suggestion it would be great to have a “Do not disturb” sign. Some guests may want to have some private time and make sure that nobody enters the room"

"The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Sanjie Liangxiang, Chaoyang Square, and Zhongshan Street. It's also convenient for visiting Qingxiu Mountain and Nanning Zoo. There are many great food options and entertainment nearby. Despite being on the roadside, it's very quiet with a lovely environment. Manager 962 at the lobby provided excellent service, and the cleaning staff were also wonderful; they specially gave me two kids' toothbrushes when they saw I had two children with me. A helpful tip: if you're heading to Sanjie Liangxiang, turn right a few dozen meters from the entrance, and there's an underpass that takes you directly there, protecting you from the elements. This avoids the long and busy surface crossing."

"I highly recommend the Shangri-La Hotel Guilin! This well-established five-star hotel, located right on the Li River, offers an absolutely fantastic experience ✨ The hotel boasts an elegant environment with extensive gardens. The back gate provides direct access to the Li River, making it perfect for leisurely strolls and enjoying the scenery. We stayed in a river-view room, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered direct views of the Li River and the karst peaks. Opening the window was like stepping into a Guilin landscape painting, with misty clouds in the morning and absolutely breathtaking views. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The staff provided attentive and thoughtful service, and check-in was warm and polite. With both indoor and outdoor pools, plus a kids' club, it's absolutely ideal for a vacation with seniors and children. The location is convenient for getting around, with attractions like Elephant Trunk Hill just a short drive away. Choosing this hotel for our trip to Guilin was a very wise decision; it offered a wonderfully relaxed vacation experience. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Guilin!"

"This was my first time bringing my kids to Nanning, and after comparing several hotels, choosing the Youyi Hotel was definitely the right decision. 1. Hotel Facilities: As soon as we walked in, we were amazed by the starry sky design in the atrium – it created such a wonderful ambiance. What excited my two kids the most was the smart robot in the lobby; they couldn't stop watching it, it really captivated them! The room was very clean and comfortable to stay in. 2. Dining and Surroundings: The hotel's buffet breakfast was rich and delicious, and the kids enjoyed it thoroughly. The location is excellent, right near Wuxiang City Station on Metro Line 1, within walking distance, making travel very convenient. Next door is the MixC commercial area, with all sorts of dining options available. 3. Service Details: Although self-parking was a bit inconvenient, the hotel thoughtfully provided valet parking service! The staff were exceptionally friendly and responsive, perfectly solving the parking issue. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay, highly suitable for families with children. We will definitely choose this hotel again next time we visit Nanning!"

"We had a beautiful stay at Secret Courtyard Resort Hotel! The hotel is beautiful, well equipped with everything we needed - fresh water and towels everyday, option to chose between Chinese and Western breakfast and delicious fruits. Xiaoming was so nice to give us the e-bikes to drive around Guilin for free and we enjoyed using them a lot! If we had any questions about the area or needed a ticket for the li yang river cruise he immediately took care of it for us. We had also had a pickup from the train station so we didn’t need to find the way to the resort on our own. It was a wonderful stay. Thanks so much from the young German man, who looks like an old German man and his girlfriend ☀️"

This surprise wasn't sudden; it accumulated little by little throughout the stay, transforming into a constant sense of awe and wonder. Initially, the hotel's color scheme seemed a bit odd, but I later learned it was the color of the sunset glow on the old buildings. This nostalgic and genuine warmth permeated every aspect of the hotel's service. Because the hotel was still in its soft opening phase, I was upgraded to a suite! I was overjoyed. 🛏️ Suite Experience Over 100 square meters. The suite included an indoor soaking tub and swimming pool. The color scheme was simple and elegant—a combination of off-white, light brown, and dark wood tones, instantly creating a relaxing atmosphere. The view from the window overlooked the Silver Beach! The room amenities were top-of-the-line, from bedding to toiletries, with attention to detail everywhere. 🍽️ Dining Stunning Completely unlike anything I'd expected from a third-tier city. The selection of breakfast items was simply unbelievable for a city like this. Makana Bakery, located in the bakery, offers locally inspired bread innovations—Guangxi Liubao Tea Croissant, Pandan Coconut Croissant, Lychee Sea Salt Croissant—bringing local flavors and French baking techniques together beautifully, rivaling boutique bakeries in first-tier cities. I tried the coffee shop, Chinese restaurant, and ice cream shop one by one, and each exceeded my expectations. The hotel dedicated significant space to local cultural exhibitions. As a keen citywalker, I was exhausted from exploring Beihai's old streets and various seaside areas, but surprisingly, the most insightful experience of the city came from the hotel's exhibition hall 🤣 The curation was excellent. The curatorial text and style were tasteful. It wasn't just a perfunctory display of folk customs, but a genuine exploration of the city's historical context and way of life—from maritime culture to the memories of the Tanka people, from the old street fabric to the evolution of contemporary Beihai. It was also a photogenic spot. Another feature of the hotel is the inclusion of a collection space showcasing several high-quality niche brands. From luxury lifestyle products to carefully selected souvenirs, everything was practical, stylish, and imbued with Beihai's essence. These brands offer excellent taste and value for money. Although I also visited other places and tried several hotels, I felt that this hotel was enough for my trip to Beihai. I could relax, enjoy the sea view, shop, and eat to my heart's content. Finally, let me talk about the service. It wasn't the professional hotel service I'd expected. Having stayed in top-tier hotels, I understand the natural and welcoming atmosphere of a butler. But perhaps because it had just opened, many people's eyes held a touch of naivety and unfamiliarity. They were cautious yet attentive, which was especially endearing. That simple, unfamiliar sincerity was touching. You could see their dedication. As a Ctrip Black Diamond member, I've stayed in countless great hotels. This is the first time I've written such a thoughtful review. Because this place is more than just a hotel; it allowed me to rediscover Beihai. It also solved the pain points of traveling in a third- or fourth-tier city regarding dining, service, and the aesthetics and practicality of souvenirs (and the value for money was excellent). This wasn't just a place to stay; it was a key to understanding Beihai and a haven for my short stay."

"I chose the Qiao CIAO Hotel for my short stay in Guilin, and its riverside location right by the Li River is absolutely fantastic! It's been raining lightly recently, and the infinity pool on the first floor looks incredibly inviting. The pool water seems to blend seamlessly with the outdoor mountain scenery, and a gentle breeze just makes you feel completely relaxed. I booked a twin room, and it was spacious and brand new. The lighting was warm and inviting, and there was a large bathtub – perfect for a relaxing soak after exploring the mountains and rivers, it really helped me unwind. You absolutely must try the Guilin rice noodles for breakfast. A warm bowl of it is incredibly satisfying, and you can add as many toppings as you like. There's also a good variety of fruits and pastries, so you can take your time and enjoy your meal without rushing. The ambiance, rooms, and breakfast were all excellent. This short trip was incredibly comfortable, and I'd definitely recommend considering this hotel if you're visiting Guilin!"

"The hotel is just across the road from Ailian Lake Park. The cherry blossoms and water lilies in the park are currently in full bloom, making for a nice view. However, breakfast was just average. At night, the surrounding area was incredibly noisy with loud music that went on until very late."
