Such a great customer service. I booked a room with a king bed and by mistake i was given a room with 2 single beds. The team quickly responded and upgraded me to a ocean view room with a king bed for free. Their breakfast was awsome. I loved every second of my stay. And hats off to the fijian guy at the entrance. I forgot his name. He was so helpfull carrying everyones bags and showing them their rooms and he always had a smile on his face. Definetly will stay again.
Where do you start. Greeted us with sincerity and had bn upgraded. The Bures were beautiful, everything you need. But could have used a bigger fridge .Gardens were immaculate. Staff were amazing, kind, genuinely friendly. Went out of their way to know our names. At dinner we were welcomed with their welcome song. We stayed twice. We had already booked our timeshare for our second week and were very sad to leave. All the staff came together to sing Fijis good bye song ‘Isa Lei’ which brought tears to our eyes. Only spent three nights at our timeshare and rang Crusoes to say we were coming back. They welcomed us back with open arms. Snorkeling was great. Activities were pre organized for the next day. We loved every moment and we will def be coming back next year. We made lifelong friends
Really liked the vibe of the place. Simple, clean, peaceful. We had a couple of minor issues with our room that got fixed promptly. Amenities could be considered limited compared to bigger resorts like Shangri La or Intercontinental (no gym, no complimentary water) but that was okay for us. One of the folks working here let me take my pick of the books from the luggage room to take home. The older gentleman sculpting things by the beach was also a pleasure to hang out and chat with. Wish we spent more than 2 days here!
If you're up for a short break in Nadi, Capricorn is a great place for you. Convenient location, thus close to the airport and Nadi town. Affordable rooms and amenities are okay.
However, heads up!
- WiFi not free as they said in the booking. You have to pay at the reception for a daily plan/ I recommend you get a Sim Card at the airport.
- T.V is not working in the Family rooms.
- Laundry is not available but there is a laundromat nearby.
The staff were faultless!!
However there were far too many mosquitoes to enjoy our stay- we had stayed in Nadi prior to this for the same amount of time and had 0 problems, same in one of the islands- no bites… here however we had over 20 between two of us from one night. Perhaps they could have repelling candles on the outdoor seating areas, and fly catchers elsewhere, but something needs to be done in this season!
I found it overpriced for the experience, the food was average and not worth the cost, there was a cockroach and lizard in our room- I would say the roofs need looking at/ re sealing.
The interconnecting rooms are NOT soundproof and you can hear everything from next door. We asked to move and were so with 0 hassle- again the staff were ALL absolutely amazing!!!
The hotel restaurant is good. The room is large and the health is OK but not particularly good. The hotel is across the road from the beach to the sea. It is a bit strange that the Fijian people are friendly to the Chinese.
The hotel is a bit aged but well maintained. The fire show on Monday night is impressive and entertaining. Kids club is a bit small and doesn’t have much to do inside. Outside playground is nice and new.
Enjoyable stay with standout staff… just a few areas to improve
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Crowne Plaza. The resort atmosphere was fun and relaxing, and the team truly made us feel welcome.
A few things could be improved: room service options were limited, so if you wanted something better you had to leave your room and go to the restaurants rather than having it delivered. Also, housekeeping wasn’t as thorough as it should be. There was hair in the bathroom, and the grout plus corners/crevices needed more attention. We also dealt with a constant flickering light in our room.
That said, the staff were kind, friendly, and responsive, and they didn’t hesitate to fix issues once we brought them to their attention, which I really appreciated. Special shoutout to Temo at La Bottega Italian Restaurant, Esa and Kelly who made our nights at the Urban Sugar Beach Club an absolute blast, and Esava and Jo from concierge made sure we were well taken care of! The resort also had amazing activities planned during the Christmas holiday for all ages!
Despite the few issues, I’d still recommend staying here, especially for the great service and lively resort vibe.
Great beach, clear water , good service, room size is generous. Nice atmosphere. Staff are so friendly and welcoming.
They offer hospitality room for us to use as we need a shower after checking out. Very good service. We feel refreshed after a long day and then get on the plane.
Where disappointed, room was not like the pictures . Was advertised as a deluxe room bur was very old and small. When walking to our room we walked over mats that were covering a hole . The back door of our room only had a chain to lock and we hadn't realized there was no internet. We realized immediately that we would not be comfortable and decided to leave immediately. We asked If we could at least have 1 night of our 2 nights already payed reimbursed but we're declined.

Incredible hotel, fantastic location and super friendly staff. Great location if you’re looking to relax, Fiji time! Gym has everything you could need, cafe, restaurants, entertainment, gym, tennis courts, beach and they offer water sports and activities on campus as well as convenient and easy experiences to book. We even booked a day out and a boat came to the beach inform of our room and picked us up. Amazing place, safe to say we didn’t want to go home.
The resort is beach front which is handy and not far from the airport either. They have good options for day trips as well. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Evening entertainment was also very good with fire shows, live music etc
Friendly stuff, that checked in on us several times to ensure we were having a good stay. Good snorkelling at the resort; however, equipment is only provided during hightide which was odd as mornings were much better for snorkelling. All areas of the resort have amazing views. Good variety of restaurants.

LLow Siong Lye 27052025I recently stayed at Gecko's Resort and had a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The resort has a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for unwinding. The rooms are spacious and well-kept, with a comfortable bed that made for restful nights. I especially appreciated the little touches like free DVDs available to borrow – a nice bonus for quiet evenings in.
The location is great too – just a short distance from the beautiful Sigatoka Sand Dunes and the Pacific Ocean, so there’s no shortage of things to see and do nearby.
One downside, however, is the Wi-Fi. Access requires a voucher, and if you're streaming videos (like on YouTube), the data only lasts around two hours. This was a bit inconvenient, especially in an age where connectivity is expected to be seamless.
Overall, Gecko's Resort is a great option for a peaceful getaway with a few nice extras. Just be prepared to manage your internet usage or consider unplugging and enjoying the serene surroundings.
It looks better compared to pictures, the territory of a resort is pretty big, they have activities etc. The breakfast is included but it’s very basic: packed cereals, bread, fruits. You can buy the coffee from a barista machine and it’s not too bad. As the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, you need to buy everything from them, dinners are expensive in my opinion (but good) and no alternatives as it’s remote
