The Back Bay train station is a one-hour walk away, with free scheduled shuttles to four destinations, making it convenient for visiting Fenway Park, Quincy Market, and Boston Harbor. Pickup is by phone, so please make an appointment. The room and bathroom are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with windows that open for good ventilation. The room is equipped with air conditioning, a refrigerator, a hair dryer, a coffee maker, and free coffee bags. The lobby on the first floor offers free cookies, candy, coffee, hot chocolate, tea, apples, and hot water. The free Wi-Fi is excellent. The free breakfast is extensive and delicious, with hot dishes like pork sausage, scrambled eggs, and fried potatoes; and cold dishes like boiled eggs, bread, pastries, and fruit. The downside is that the surroundings are a bit messy, with some homeless people and the constant sirens of police cars, ambulances, and fire trucks.
Great hotel in Sea Port area of Boston. 12 minutes walk to Downtown. There are many nice restaurants and bars around the area. The hotel is modern, rooms are spacious. Would stay here again!
There is nothing around the hotel, but you can park for free. If you don't have a car, it is not recommended to stay, which is very inconvenient.
The facilities are complete, there is a small swimming pool and gym, breakfast is a typical American style, nothing wrong.
There is a self-service washer dryer, which is more convenient!

The hotel was fine, it is in a great location and has everything you need but nothing special.
The bathroom wasn’t 100% clean and the room could do with some updated finishes
It was a generally good stay, with nice amenities and a spacious room. There was one issue that came up: the Trip.com website stated that the room would be on the 27th floor. However, when checking in, the reception at the Encore hotel said the highest they could give me was the 17th floor, 10 floors below what was promised, even though I showed them my reservation detailing that reserved room was on the 27th floor. A second issue to be aware: this establishment that calls itself a ”resort hotel” does not have a mini-fridge in the room. One can rent one for $40/night, which is a bit mind-boggling. The only fridge in the room is dedicated for the mini-bar. However, one cannot use that fridge because any movement of items in it would incur a charge since the sensor system, which tracks each bottle, would trigger a charge to the room. This meant I could not place my perishable item in the mini-bar fridge by shifting the alcoholic bottles to make space for my perishable items. Otherwise, this was overall a pleasant stay.
The front desk clerk was very kind. Because I didn’t speak English well, it was really embarrassing when I checked in😅. Later, I found a Chinese (hotel waiter) to translate for me. The location is also very convenient. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Chinatown and 10 Minutes to the tea party attraction, take an Uber to the city center for 14-18 yuan

This hotel is located in the safest area in Boston, facing the sea, with a good view! However, the facilities are relatively old, and the service is really hard to describe. I feel that several front desks are incomprehensible and sloppy; they have paid in full in advance and have been repeatedly informed, and the room fee has been swiped twice. If there is no instant message on the credit card , will muddle along in a daze, I am really convinced, and I have no apologies for making mistakes, and I have fully felt the maddening casualness and sloppyness, and the service is poor!

The hotel room was ok. I got the king bed wicked small room. The facilities seem neither new nor old. But the bathroom facilities are strange, including the sink and bathtub. They make movement not easy. The hotel was packed. Actually for me too many guests, maybe there was an event during my stay.

Convenient transportation, close to Boston Park and Chinatown, within walking distance to Quincy Market, and there are a lot of Chinese and Western restaurants nearby, so it's very convenient to eat. The hotel service is good, allowing us to check in early, the room bathroom is large, the room is clean and hygienic, but the facilities are a bit old, but overall I am satisfied, and I will choose Home Inn next time I come to Boston.

The hotel is in a great location, close to shopping and parks. The room is clean and tidy. There are large windows that can be opened for ventilation. The only downside is that the soundproofing is a little poor. You can hear the people in the next room on the conference call in the early morning. You can bring earplugs to avoid this problem.

__wfo0****The room isn't huge, but with two 150cm beds, it's manageable for a family with kids if you don't mind snuggling. The mattress was incredibly soft; surprisingly, I usually get back pain at home but slept on this soft bed for three nights with no issues. There's a Starbucks drip coffee maker in the room, and another Starbucks next to the front desk on the second floor. Bar10, also on the second floor, serves good food. The hotel connects to two malls, which is fantastic in the cold winter as you don't have to go outside to find food. The cleanliness was impeccable, it looked like it had just been renovated. The shower had both an overhead rain shower and a handheld option; even though it was in a tub, the water pressure was excellent. Facing north, we had an unobstructed view of the river and MIT across the way. Boston truly is a beautiful city, and I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit.

GGuest UserWhen we stayed at the hotel, there were various digs near the hotel, and it felt that it was not very convenient to get around. However, there are small trains and bus stations nearby, and it is a three-minute walk from Fenway Stadium, which is very convenient.
GGuest UserThe staff were very helpful and they upgraded us to a lovely spacious room with a fabulous view! The hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to the Pacific Mall, the museums, Newbury St.and many restaurants around. The Lucy Bar and Restaurant inside the hotel is excellent and the food was great! I recommend this hotel to everyone and will definitely stay there again.

RR.Cody HartConvenient location to airport and car rental but highly overpriced. The hotel could use an update.
Worst part of this stay was waiting 45 mins for a shuttle at midnight. Called the hotel 5 times and kept getting the same answer, “ I’ll check on the driver” and then hung up on with no answer as to when the shuttle would arrive.
When we finally got to the hotel, being judged by the front desk man about me and my husband sleeping in the same bed and being given a room with 2 queen beds.
VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE. We’ll be staying at another hotel next time, even if it’s further from airport & rental car location.
GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at the Briar Barn Inn. Our regular king suite was clean and cozy but also had plenty of room. It included a soaking tub and a walk-in shower, fireplace and a sitting area with Hulu Live TV. The bed was among the most comfortable we've ever slept in. Breakfast were croissants, scones and muffins the front desk told us were from local bakeries and coffee. It's a 15-20 minute drive to Crane Beach ($40 per car) and a 20-minute drive to Plum Island ($20 per car). It was our first New England inn experience, and it was a very good one. The restaurant was closed for July 4 while we were there.
