I stayed here for 5 nights and the absolute best part was the location. It is incredibly convenient. Just a short walk to IFS, Tianfu Square, Taikoo Li and Chunxi Road Station. I literally walked everywhere! Plus, having several spas nearby was a great bonus for relaxing after a long day.
However, there were a few issues with the room and service:
Soundproofing: The walls are quite thin. I could clearly hear people walking in the hallway and doors opening/closing, which was a bit disruptive.
Housekeeping: I was disappointed that they never changed the bedsheets during my entire 5-night stay. On one occasion, they didn't replace the face towel; they just re-hung the used one to make it look new.
Security/Privacy: I was surprised to find a ******************************* slipped under my door one morning, which felt a bit unprofessional for a hotel.

Best stat ever, they upgraded my room for free and let me check in earlier. The place has the best location as it is 5 min walking to the chengdu west railway station and metro lines 2 and seven. Room was clean and very comfortable
I booked this hotel to have a different experience, to sleep in the way they were sleeping in the past. The hotel is a museum, very beautiful. But while I enjoyed staying there and sleep in a ¥3 million piece of museum bed, the bed was horribly uncomfortable, it is just a 5 cm soft mattress on top of a 5 cm hard as a stone mattress on top of a plank, but I stayed there only one night, so it worth the experience.

This hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's right in the bustling snack street and directly faces the Min River, offering an amazing view, especially for enjoying the river at night. Definitely try to get a higher floor. The price isn't expensive either, highly recommended!

The hotel was absolutely breathtaking. Everything was incredibly clean and had a very modern, stylish feel that made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The room itself was stunning and clearly well cared for.
The service truly stood out — every member of staff was so friendly, welcoming, and kind, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. On top of that, the location was superb, making it easy to get around and explore.
Overall, it was an amazing stay and I would highly recommend it.

The room was great, and the bed was really comfortable. The slippers were also a nice touch, different from other hotels. It was very affordable, and the front desk service was excellent. It's just a short walk across the street to Chunxi Road Pedestrian Street, and not far from the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base—a 20-minute taxi ride. Very convenient and highly recommended!

I was very satisfied with my room. The facilities were complete, and the staff, especially the 'little sister' who helped me, was very attentive and efficient. The front desk area is a bit small, but the room itself was pretty much as pictured, though it didn't have a bed runner. During my stay, a cleaner would tidy up my room and replenish supplies. The hotel's breakfast restaurant offers a good variety of items buffet-style. Downstairs, there's a delicious snack shop selling Dandan noodles and 'Sister Noodle Shop' was also very good. They even offer free luggage storage after check-out.

Hotel location is very good, the high-speed rail station takes a few minutes to take a taxi, and it is also close to the Leshan Giant Buddha, ten minutes. The hotel is convenient to go out to the bus station! Room hygiene is also very good! When I checked in, my sister at the front desk gave me a pack of disposable toilet pads 😀! Ask the front desk sister what delicious and fun little sister around like a few Zhen, according to the description of the little sister to find delicious, only to find that it is behind the hotel door, a street is 😀! In short, it is a very good stay experience, the price is very high, it can be said that the value for money is excellent, and I will choose to stay next time!

The front desk staff were warm, friendly, and provided excellent service. When I checked in on September 4, 2026, the special receptionist, Mr. Su, was very attentive and helpful, even carrying my luggage to my room.
The stay was fantastic. We stayed in room 1025, which was beautiful, very clean, smoke-free, and had fresh air, so we slept very well. The room was quiet, and although there was heavy traffic outside, the view was expansive, offering beautiful city views
The room had a window that could be opened and closed. The air conditioning was in good working order, fully functional, and could be manually switched on and off, so there was no need to worry about the room being too cold or too hot; the temperature was well controlled. The television was in good working order and fully functional. The cleaning staff were also very warm and friendly. The weather here varies every day; it can be hot, warm, cold, or even drizzling. Regarding the laundry room, I used it every day, the washing machine and dryer were both very good and easy to operate. You could choose an 18-minute or 30-minute washing cycle, and the drying cycle could also be controlled with buttons, choosing 30 minutes or 1 hour depending on the clothes. I'm very grateful for the newly added electric kettle in the room; it's beautifully designed and very durable—I've never seen anything like it before. The hotel's location is excellent. You can walk directly to ICBC Bank, the International Finance Centre, Taikoo Li, Chunxi Road, Metro Line B, etc. It's like a shopping area with many vendors, but I ate many unique foods and fruits that I'd never seen or tasted before. Some fruits were cheaper than in Malaysia, like blueberries. Cash payments are accepted, and every shop and vendor will give change.
Google Maps cannot find your hotel, but the GPS location on the Amap app is very accurate. Your hotel link points to the Mercury Hotel, but Google Maps can only show the location of the Mercury Hotel. The Ibis Hotel only has two elevators connecting to the Mercury Hotel's four elevators. The breakfast buffet is excellent, offering local, Western, and Asian food, all very fresh. This is my review for you here. I will also write the same positive review on Google and Trip.com. I will check out before 12 noon and tidy up the room before leaving. Regarding Mr. Su, I may have mistranslated his surname. I apologize, Mr. Su, your first and last name may be incorrect. Thank you again.

Excellent location in the heart of the lively Shizhong district. Very well served by public transport. Easy and direct access to and from the train station. The Big Buddha site is a 40-minute walk away. Considering the price paid for the room and the three included meals, the overall value for money is more than worthwhile. The reception staff were very welcoming. My room on the 6th floor was spacious (large enough to have a bathtub!), clean, quite bright, with comfortable bedding. My room overlooked the central roundabout, yet the area was quiet. The bathroom was a good size and clean. A hairdryer and electric kettle were available in the room. Bottled water was provided daily. The in-room Wi-Fi was very good. There was a huge projection screen, but I didn't use it. The electrical outlets require an adapter to plug in European devices. The central air conditioning was efficient. A mirror in the room wluld have been a welcome addition but was missing, as a dedicated luggage storage area, like is common in many hotels in China, was needed to avoid having to leave luggage on the open floor for the entire stay. The breakfast restaurant is the hotel's biggest drawback. Located on the 8th floor, it offers a buffet breakfast from 7:00 to 9:00 AM, lunch from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, and dinner from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. This place isn't a restaurant, but at best a market stall. It's noisy, too small, dirty, and in a state of disrepair. The quality of the buffet is mediocre. There are no drinks at breakfast except soy milk. This was my biggest disappointment, as I like to make meals a moment of peace and indulgence. The common areas are not cleaned. The carpet in the hallway outside my room wasn't brushed once in four days. It was filthy. The ashtrays in the hallways filled up with trash over the course of my four-day stay and were never emptied. The laundry area was completely uninviting. In short, the hotel felt very average and didn't match the photos plastered everywhere, making it my most disappointing accommodation experience during my month in China.

GGuest UserThis hotel is right next to a subway station, offering direct access to popular spots like Chunxi Road, Jinli, Kuanzhai Alley, and Chengdu East Railway Station. Getting around was absolutely stress-free! The room's mattress and pillows were so comfortable, and the quiet environment meant I slept soundly until morning. The laundry room and gym facilities were excellent, making my stay very convenient. Whether catching an early flight or arriving late at night, the two subway lines made everything quick and easy. It was a comfortable stay with hassle-free travel, making it the perfect base for my trip to Chengdu. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserFive-star review! I’m truly impressed with my stay at Xishu Hotel. From the moment I checked in, the front desk staff were warm, attentive, and efficient. Their professionalism made the whole process smooth and pleasant. The room was spotless, well-designed, and comfortably arranged. All the facilities were modern and well maintained, and the attention to detail was excellent. The bed was especially comfortable, and I slept very well.
The overall atmosphere of the hotel is relaxing, and the public areas are kept in great condition as well. Whether it’s cleanliness, service, location, or overall convenience, everything exceeded my expectations. I genuinely couldn’t find any flaws during my stay. I will definitely choose Xishu Hotel again next time I’m in the area and will gladly recommend it to friends!

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is super convenient, just a two-minute walk from Lidui Park. If you want to see the 'blue tears' at Dujiangyan at night, it's about a seven to eight-minute walk to Xuanhua Gate, and then a leisurely stroll with snacks will get you there in about fifteen minutes. The room was decent, though a bit noisy since it's street-facing. They thoughtfully provided noise-canceling earplugs and an eye mask, which was a nice touch. Overall, I was satisfied.
XXiaomanThis B&B deserves a perfect score! The owner is incredibly enthusiastic and responds instantly to any questions, always going the extra mile. The room was spotless and felt super comfortable the moment we walked in, with absolutely no strange smells. The biggest surprise was that they even helped walk our dog, which was incredibly pet-friendly for us traveling with a furry friend. We felt completely at ease and comfortable throughout our stay. We'll definitely be back next time!

WWeilan~haianThe B&B is right by the road, easy to find, and quiet at night. Since it's the off-season, there weren't many people, so it was very peaceful. The temperature difference between morning and evening was quite significant, but the floor heating was on all day, making it very warm. The only downside was that the bathroom lighting was too dim, which isn't very convenient for women trying to do their makeup or skincare. Also, the toilet isn't smart and doesn't have a heating function, so it felt a bit cold. On a positive note, the tea room on the ground floor of the hotel is really nicely decorated and quite stylish.

JJuneli1209Having traveled to many countries, this hotel is consistently high-quality.
The service was very friendly, the decor was exquisite and clean, very stylish and beautiful, perfect for photos.
The butler at the front desk was very friendly and attentive; when I wasn't feeling well, he helped me change to a better-ventilated room.
The coffee shop was exceptionally good—surprisingly, the best coffee I've had in China.
I hope they maintain this level of quality; I'll definitely stay here again.

EEikaChenVery cozy hotel with helpful and passionate staff! It’s one station away from Chunxi Road but the walkway is very smooth. We walked there with luggage in early morning from airport bus and we didn’t feel tired at all. The location is amazing that you do get a benefit of quiet stay. Also many good and nice restaurants around hotel. We even went for a clinic next to hotel for the treatment of knee! After experiencing many hotels (Hanting/holiday inn/bloom) in Chengdu region I do recommend this place to whoever is planning to visit!
GGuest UserI rarely leave good reviews, but this place is an exception. It's really close to the Panda Base, and the room is cozy and clean. The lady at the front desk was super helpful. They even provide disposable toiletries for kids and disposable bath towels for adults, which is a nice touch. The price is also very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend it if you're visiting the Panda Base.

MM253152****The hygiene was good! The bedding was comfortable, and the pillows weren't too high, very soft! The service attitude was also good. The breakfast was quite simple, with buns, eggs, soy milk, and coffee. For this price, the surrounding area is quite noisy, and the sound insulation isn't great. The only downside is that there were so many mosquitoes... I got bitten by mosquitoes in the middle of the night, and it happened in both rooms, even my child was bitten. There was nothing we could do. We had planned to stay a few more days. I hope the owner will provide mosquito repellents in every room and do a better job with pest control in the future.
