The hotel was in a great location, we were able to walk everywhere including to the acropolis, lots of bars coffee shops and restaurants close by. Breakfast at the hotel was very good lots of choices.
The stay experience was very satisfactory. The hotel environment is clean and tidy, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bedding is soft and sleep-friendly. The front desk service is warm and thoughtful and the check-in is efficient. Convenient location, rich dining around, will choose this hotel next time.

Very nice place, great service, perfect breakfast. We totally enjoyed it. Noisy at night, but we always use ear plugs so it’s never a problem! Special thanks to Nik for helping us with directions, breakfast at 05:30 am and for the patience with our thousand questions! 🙏🏼
This apartment is very close to the airport. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood. The apartment is very clean and spacious. The host is very kind and friendly. We stayed here for one night as we had to catch an early flight the next day and this apartment is perfect.

Lovely little hotel, better than expected! Hotel staff are lovely, room was spacious, clean and stocked with amenities. There’s an old fashioned lift on site but takes a while to come so be prepared to either wait or take the stairs. Small downfall is the location as it’s in the backstreets of Athens down (probably not safe to walk alone especially as a female). Other slight downfall is the hotel public toilets don’t have any locks on the doors which made me feel uncomfortable to use so had to go back up to the room to use the toilet during breakfast time. Breakfast was a nice buffet mix and great hot drinks options, although the food on the hot plates was lukewarm so not sure they are working.

The hotel was really nice and right on the main road close to two metro stations at very walkable distance. They provided me with 7th floor road facing balcony room on request which was perfect for me. The room was clean with a fridge and a smart tv. There was issue with wifi on the first 2 days but they provided with a greek sim for use. The breakfast with a view was plentiful though they exactly close at 10am but you can sit with your stuffs longer and enjoy the food. They even provided all sorts of toiletteries including lotion. For the discounted price I paid, the stay was beyond expectation. The ac in the room worked great. The bed was comfortable. I personally did not face any safety issues coming back to the hotel even at 10.30pm.

I booked a single room and it was larger than expected and the bathroom had a bath. I was on the 9th floor. The room had a city view which was unexpected. There was air conditioning, a kettle a fridge and plenty of space for luggage. There was no coffee available only T. So I bought my own. There was a range of shower wash and body cream. The soap was olive oil soap and very nice. The water in the fridge was not complimentary and I had to pay for it when I checked out. I didn’t book breakfast. It was quite noisy at times on Floor 9 with screaming children and young men congregating chatting and being loud. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept very well in it. The plug sockets were not near the bed. The pool at the top was brilliant but it was very busy. The views were spectacular and the food in the bar was very good. The staff in the bar were very kind. The hotel is very well situated near train stations but walking is much more interesting! There are some great shops and markets in the area and museums are not far away. It takes about 20 mins to walk into the centre if you enjoy your walk. I recommend junk shops on the walk to the Acropolis.

Dave Red in Athens is definitely a hotel with character! If you want to stay somewhere not so ordinary, then this is your choice.
The hotel's public spaces and rooms are extremely clean and very tastefully designed with a nod to the building's historical past. The colour palette is in contrasting dark/red tones which gives it unique atmosphere. The main highlight of my room was the super comfy bed and the balcony with a street view. In terms of the size, the room wasn't the biggest but more than enough for a single person.
I would like to especially emphasise the staff of the hotel who were extremely helpful, spoke fluent English and gave valuable recommendations. It felt like they really care about their guests' comfort and want them to have best experience in Athens.
All the amenities were top notch: breakfast, gym (small but functional), iron and ironing board on request, and a little rooftop space with a communal hot tub😍
Overall, the stay was decent. The location is quiet and close to the seaside, with supermarkets, restaurants, and cafes all within walking distance. I especially enjoyed the amazing shrimp tempura at the nearby restaurant Mera—highly recommended!
However, the hotel offers very limited amenities. There were no toothbrushes, umbrellas, or slippers provided—not even upon request. I found it especially puzzling that slippers weren’t available. The floors were freezing, and with no place nearby to buy disposable ones, it really affected my comfort. Most travelers don’t pack slippers for this kind of weather, and having to walk barefoot on cold floors significantly impacted my experience.
I truly hope the hotel considers this feedback. It’s a small change, but it could make a big difference in guest comfort.

Great
GGuest UserThe location is excellent, with many restaurants nearby, right next to the Plaka pedestrian street. The breakfast was also quite substantial. I heard there's a bar on the top floor with Acropolis views, but we didn't go up. Overall, it's good and offers great value for money!
GGuest UserThis was a great stay for us and our family. The hotel is conveniently located near many popular sights and eateries in Athens and most were within a 10-20 minute walk. The nearby Monastiraki metro station made it easy to get to and from the airport as well.
The rooms are nicely appointed with a couple of chairs, work station, coffee/tea station, closet, mini fridge and TV. The beds were small but comfy enough. Our family had a 2 and 3 bed rooms and we found the 2 bed room was a lot more spacious. The bathrooms in both were small but we appreciated that the hot water came on quickly and there was a small window for ventilation. Our room was quiet at night but our family noted street noise on the lower floors. The elevators were often tricky to catch as they are small but we appreciated it when we didn't feel like the climb to the sixth floor.
The amenities at the hotel were good for the price. The roof top patio and bar area was a highlight and we enjoyed a couple of afternoons up here watching the sun set and the lights turn on at the Acropolis. The prices of the bar were inexpensive and they had a good variety of options. There was a sitting room that had tea and coffee midday and they kept it open in the evening so we were able to sit together and talk. They had laundry service, baggage storage and could help arrange tours or car hires as well at the front desk with their friendly and welcoming staff.
The breakfast at this hotel was very good for the price. They had something for everyone and lots of place to sit. Highlights for us were the Greek yoghurt and the spinach and feta stuffed pastries. They also had mini sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, feta cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, breads, baklava, croissants, dried fruits, fresh fruits, juices and a coffee machine. We looked forward to breakfast each morning.
The hotel provided a good base for exploring and was centrally located. We would say if you're looking to save money and have a good breakfast to start your day in Athens this hotel is a good choice.
HHsiang Ling ChienMany shops near the hotel were closed, littered with trash, and filled with homeless people, which was a bit scary. However, the hotel was very nice, and there was a rooftop with plenty of fresh air. There was also a delicious bakery next to the station, where we ate there two days!
YYiheThe front desk service was very good, but the hotel is too close to the main road and too noisy. The noise from cars roaring at night was very loud. I communicated with the front desk before check-in and it was already on the side facing the side street instead of the main road. In order to be quiet, I was upgraded to a family suite, but it was still very noisy.
집집이최고Good location, simple and clean. The front desk is friendly and the breakfast is average. Hot water comes out well and the room is not cold. Please note that the single room is full of beds. The bed is not uncomfortable, but the blanket is only a sheet and a blanket, so it may be a little unfamiliar to Koreans.
SShobyThat hotel can easily be the best hotel in the area if they paid more attention to the renovation issue.. The place is well located and nice old classic design..
Staff are very helpful and breakfast was ok too..
They can't be blamed about few homeless people around as it's like that everywhere around that area.
PPorco RActually we couldn’t stay this hotel..
With the terms and conditions we have reserved.
and no refund or no reduction has provided…
Even though we have truly expected to stay Acropolis view room of A for Athens again on the last night in Athens, but due to the electric device disorder, the front desk explained, the reservation has changed to the room of another cheaper sister hotel, 360 pop art, without no refund.
In addition to that, the number of guests has not been correctly communicated to the 360 pop art and we had been kept waiting for more than 30 mins, even including arguing by pop art receptionist, when so tired after long trip from islands in late evening.
They explained they change to very good room with Acropolis view but it only has partial view. But it was completely different from the view from Acropolis view room at A for Athens, in which we had stayed a few redays ago with the same price.
Very disappointed memory.
GGuest UserGreat location as all main tourist sites (including Kerameikos and Filopappou Hill) were walkable - also outside the main tourist area, which was a plus. Roof terrace also pleasant at the end of the day.
Hotel facilities are limited: WiFi, internet tv only (on mine you had to log in with your own details), aircon, tea/coffee, free bottled water. Cold breakfast option (set price of €10 - not €8 as shown on the website). Airport pick-up is now also €50 (more than shown currently on website).
Rooms modern but.mine was starting to look slightly tired. In theory it was a ‘suite’ suitable for four (two small rooms) but this would have been extremely cramped, particularly as each room had only a ‘space saver’ type wardrobe ie. wardrobe rail coming out from the wall with a mirror in front and no other storage and a sofa bed in the ‘living room’.
Despite the website description of each room with (only) a power shower, mine had a shower over the bath.
Service was average: front desk tried to be helpful but local knowledge was lacking. Bed was made each day, but tea/coffee/water were not refreshed and used glasses and mugs were not cleaned. Despite this, towels WERE refreshed daily and there was no option (card or other mechanism) to get this stopped. I was surprised: it seems that saving water and energy had passed the hotel by entirely.
In conclusion: compared to other prices and areas of Athens I paid a reasonable amount, but given the reviews had expected more from the hotel, although I couldn’t honestly say that it was bad, just ‘average’.

YYee11We stayed one night at Alekos Apartments 2 and had a pleasant and comfortable experience. The apartment was modern, very clean, and well-equipped — it even had a small kitchenette for simple cooking and Netflix for a relaxing night in.
Although there’s a front desk, the office hours are limited, but not to worry — the owner is super responsive and helpful via WhatsApp. He even helped us arrange transport from the airport to the property at a reasonable fee, which made arrival really convenient.
The self check-in process was smooth and well explained. The apartment felt safe, cozy, and had everything we needed for a short stay. Location-wise, it’s within walking distance to metro stations, making it easy to get to the city centre.
Overall, a great value stay in Athens — clean, modern, and hosted by someone who truly cares about guests’ comfort. Would happily stay again!
