We arrived after 10 PM. I was a bit hesitant about taking a taxi, as I'd seen previous guest comments mentioning safety concerns. However, the area around the airport metro station was quite lively, and the hotel was just a short walk, a few hundred meters, off the main road. The front desk staff were lovely and made us feel very comfortable. Once we got into our room and saw the Acropolis lit up at night, all my worries completely melted away.
Fantastic location! We stayed for 6 nights and explored different parts Athens each day. A reasonable spread of breakfast is provided and a wide variety of food is available near the hotel. All the must see places were within 15 walking minutes from the hotel and most importantly the area around the hotel was very safe.
Lovely little hotel with helpful staff.
The train station is across the road from the hotel, which is very handy.
The room was spacious enough for me. It got cleaned most days.
The hotel is about a 25-30 minute walk to the main attractions (or you can just get on a train). I just googled places and walked everywhere.
Never felt in danger walking around (that includes night time, too).
There are a couple of mini supermarkets around the corner from the hotel with a variety of different things (fresh produce, etc).
My room had a nice view of the city, and the sun was shining on my balcony most of the day, I could watch sunset (see photo)
My ONLY negative was the smoking. The cleaner would smoke in her cleaning room, and when I got fresh towels, they smelt of cigarettes. Smoke travels, and I always knew when she had arrived or when she was smoking. I noticed that the hotel is a non-smoking hotel, but other guests were smoking on their balcony.
Other than that, I had a nice, clean, and relaxing stay here. I would stay here again, super cheap and cheerful.
Dave Red in Athens is definitely a hotel with character! If you want to stay somewhere not so ordinary, then this is your choice.
The hotel's public spaces and rooms are extremely clean and very tastefully designed with a nod to the building's historical past. The colour palette is in contrasting dark/red tones which gives it unique atmosphere. The main highlight of my room was the super comfy bed and the balcony with a street view. In terms of the size, the room wasn't the biggest but more than enough for a single person.
I would like to especially emphasise the staff of the hotel who were extremely helpful, spoke fluent English and gave valuable recommendations. It felt like they really care about their guests' comfort and want them to have best experience in Athens.
All the amenities were top notch: breakfast, gym (small but functional), iron and ironing board on request, and a little rooftop space with a communal hot tubš
Fantastic location, easily walkable to the main attractions and Syntagma Square for airport buses. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and the breakfast was generous. We truly enjoyed our stay at Plaka Hotel.
A hotel close to the city center, metro station, and restaurants. The breakfast is decent but continental. The internet doesn't work, but that's irrelevant as I was in Athens to visit the city.
Hotel Tier is conveniently located near Metaxourghio metro station, just a mere 3 min walk from hotel. From this station, 3 stops to Syntagma which is the city centre.
There are bistros and cafes nearby. We arrived at 1130am and because the room was already cleaned staff checked us in immediately without having to wait till 3 pm. Thank you for that.
Room is very small even though the beds can fit 3 pax with one queen and one single bed. Hardly space to open your luggage. Bathroom is clean but small.
The lift is really tiny that can only fit 1 person with luggage. Staff is very kind, helpful and friendly.
Overall still a comfortable stay for just one night.
My first impression when I checked into the hotel was that the room was absolutely lovely, exactly as described on the booking website. The room was blue with a white base, and just being able to stay there made me feel like I was in Greece! Although I didn't have many good memories of the actual sightseeing, the hotel was great.
The elevator might be a bit of a shock at first.

AAnonymous UserFantastic location, easily walkable to the main attractions and Syntagma Square for airport buses. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and the breakfast was generous. We truly enjoyed our stay at Plaka Hotel.
KKDTINOThe Attalos Hotel is good with everything you need, reception is right at the front door with very helpful and friendly staff, the lifts are small, so only one person and your luggage at a time, but thatās ok. It has the most amazing rooftop with Athensā best kept secret bar and view of the acropolis that you wonāt ever forget. Rooms are good, (we stayed in 507 & 506), not too big, however Athens is old so itās ok for what you need and I am picky. The bed is comfortable, the linen is clean and fresh towels, the bathroom is small but water is hot and water pressure perfect. Great location, just off a small street and so close to Monastiraki Square in Athens which is less than 100 meters away. Close to a supermarket, cafeās everywhere (you have to get yourself a real Greek coffee- now thatās a caffeine hit you will need after travelling š) and there is amazing authentic Greek Food all around. I recommend Nikos Tavern just pass the church in the square and left up the alley. It one of the oldest, and I was there 32 years ago. You will see all the tables and chairs!! Attalos is walking distance to all the sights you need to see, like the acropolis and museums and train station are right nearby. I will definitely stay here again ever time I visit Athens on my way to the Peloponnese. What a great memory, Thanks guys!!
GGuest UserI recently stayed at Ermass Modern Living Apartments in Athens and overall had a pleasant experience. The property is in a very good and central location, with bus and metro connections nearby, making it easy to get around the city. It was also easy to find, which is a big plus for first-time visitors.
The room was comfortable and practical, equipped with a mini-kitchen and utensils, which was convenient for light cooking. There is also a nice rooftop garden where you can relax and enjoy the view. The apartment is close to the famous Stani Greek restaurant, as well as several mini-markets for groceries and daily needs. An AC is provided, which made the stay comfortable during warmer days.
A special mention and thanks to Thanos and Konstantina for their warm hospitality and constant support throughout the stay. They were very friendly, helpful, and always ready to provide useful information about places to visit, travel tips, and other local details.
However, there are a few downsides to be aware of. The back side and nearby streets are not very clean, and the area does not feel very safe late at night. After around 10 PM, itās better to avoid walking around, as we noticed several homeless individuals and people associated with ***** in the vicinity during nighttime.
Overall, Ermass Modern Living Apartments offers great value, a central location, and helpful staff, but guests should be cautious about the surrounding area at night.
Mmarian8iaFirst of all shout out to the cleaning ladies they did a great job cleaning my room everyday and I know their work is pretty hard. Second the people at the reception are lovely and kind, very helpful when asking questions and very nice to talk to. The room was even bigger than the pictures I loved it and felt so comfortable. Also nice that they have Netflix!!!
Pame wild will be my go to hotel when I visit Athens again!!
TThv_teteFirst of all, the hotel staff are so nice incl. receptionists, breakfast lady, room attendants, etc. They all smile at you and greet you, very polite and helpful. We also booked 1 triple room for 3 adults but they gave us 2 double rooms with the same price of course although they had to move us to ground floor the 2nd day due to some electrical defaults in one of the rooms as it was newly renovated, which didnt bother us at all. We happily moved. Also free water bottles in the fridge included, all the necessary amenities were there, no kettle to boil water or cups for hot drinks were provided in the room but if you ask them, hot water provided at the hotel reception 24/7 also free tea, coffee and hot water for all guests provided from 3-9pm! Rooms were decent sized with comfy and clean beds, daily room service, breakfast was good and plenty and included in the room price, so cant complain! More hot food options would have been nice but it was continental which still was adequate. 5/5 stars
GGuest UserVery clean apartment with wonderful views, bed was very comfortable, tea and coffee facilities in the room and a tv. The breakfast was varied and filling with excellent service. The staff were friendly and very helpful with a taxi service which was superb. We would definitely return for a lovely, quiet relaxing stay. It is a littleāout of the wayā but definitely worth the stay .
TTravelwithjessieeIām a solo traveller and I stayed here on my first trip to Athens. I wanted to be central to the attractions. The location was amazing!
It is right on Monastiaki square where you can take the metro to and from the airport making it easy to get to! You can also use theirs to get around Athens! Low cost and easy to use!
You can see the Acropolis right from the square! There are also lots of lovely restaurants and coffee shops around this area too!
On arriving at the hotel the reception staff were very warm and welcoming. They helped me to arrange transportations and offered to prepare a takeaway breakfast bag for my early check out which was very kind!
The room itself was quite large and clean with all of the amenities that you may need. The shower was hot which was good! The downside to the room is that it is very noisy from the outside due to it being on the square. It can get busy at nighttime, however I did expect this due to its location. I came prepared and brought earplugs to sleep in which did the trick!
The breakfast is served in the rooftop bar. Plenty of choice and delicious pastries each day. Hot and cold options available which was nice! The views from here are amazing! You can sell all around you and have a view of the Acropolis as you enjoy your breakfast! Wow!
Photos attached of the view from breakfast at the hotel rooftop and the square!
I would recommend this hotel to stay on if you are wanting to be in the centre of Athens! Everything was accessible and the staff was always happy to help!
Thank you so much for being so lovely during my stay!
I would come back again! š
GGuest UserGreat location as all main tourist sites (including Kerameikos and Filopappou Hill) were walkable - also outside the main tourist area, which was a plus. Roof terrace also pleasant at the end of the day.
Hotel facilities are limited: WiFi, internet tv only (on mine you had to log in with your own details), aircon, tea/coffee, free bottled water. Cold breakfast option (set price of ā¬10 - not ā¬8 as shown on the website). Airport pick-up is now also ā¬50 (more than shown currently on website).
Rooms modern but.mine was starting to look slightly tired. In theory it was a āsuiteā suitable for four (two small rooms) but this would have been extremely cramped, particularly as each room had only a āspace saverā type wardrobe ie. wardrobe rail coming out from the wall with a mirror in front and no other storage and a sofa bed in the āliving roomā.
Despite the website description of each room with (only) a power shower, mine had a shower over the bath.
Service was average: front desk tried to be helpful but local knowledge was lacking. Bed was made each day, but tea/coffee/water were not refreshed and used glasses and mugs were not cleaned. Despite this, towels WERE refreshed daily and there was no option (card or other mechanism) to get this stopped. I was surprised: it seems that saving water and energy had passed the hotel by entirely.
In conclusion: compared to other prices and areas of Athens I paid a reasonable amount, but given the reviews had expected more from the hotel, although I couldnāt honestly say that it was bad, just āaverageā.

NNappyāsThe hotel was decent overall, but the area didnāt feel very safe. Itās close to the subway, just a few minutesā walk.which is convenient, but the neighbourhood gave off a sketchy vibe. Not a huge issue, but definitely something to be aware of.
