M31***18Weishan Lake Scenic Area, located in the southern part of Shandong Province, is a comprehensive tourist attraction that integrates natural scenery, historical heritage, and revolutionary struggle history. It is the largest freshwater lake in northern China. Every July and August, the lotus flowers bloom in the ten thousand mu lotus pond, presenting a beautiful scenery of endless green lotus leaves and red lotus flowers in the sun. To enter Weishan Island, you need to take a ferry. There are more people on holidays, so you should avoid peak travel. There are historical sites and the Railway Guerrilla Memorial Hall on the island, which are worth seeing.

Anonymous userIt was a pleasant surprise. I visited the Confucius Temple and Confucius Mansion on the first day, but I was a bit tired, so I didn't go to the Confucius Cemetery. I thought my combined ticket for the three Confucius sites would be invalid on the second day, but on a whim, I opened the QR code on the combined ticket, and it was still valid for entry, which was a pleasant surprise.

206***62The environment is wonderful, nestled at the foot of the mountain, very close to Nishan Sacred Site. The hotel offers shuttle service by electric cart, and the service is excellent. The rooms are spacious and bright, each with its own private courtyard and tea room, perfect for enjoying tea or working. I would definitely stay here again next time I visit Qufu. Highly recommended!

房车逛逛I spent a day at the Confucius Temple in Qufu and found this place. It's not a big place, and it seems to highlight the story of Meng Mu's three moves. I wanted to hire a guide, but I had to wait. So I just took a walk and enjoyed the gardens.

526***93Mr. Kong’s explanation was wonderful. There were many children in the group, and his explanation and interaction were very targeted. They were vivid and detailed, yet humorous and witty. He was passionate throughout the two and a half hours. I could feel his full involvement. He was by no means superficial or perfunctory. I was very moved!

Anonymous userThe scenic area is a small hill, which is not tiring to climb. It will take you to the top of the hill in no time. There is the Zhongyi Hall on the top of the hill to visit, and there are many views along the way!

不爱吃饭的人1Wenshang Baoxiang Temple was originally built during the Northern Wei Dynasty and expanded during the Tang and Song dynasties. The temple boasts the renowned Prince Lingzong Pagoda, housing a Buddha tooth relic. In 1947, the ancient pagoda was hit by more than a dozen artillery shells during the War of Liberation, but none exploded. The temple also housed a massive, 10,000-jin (approximately 10,000-jin) fine iron bell, cast during the Tang Taihe era, but it was destroyed in 1958 for steelmaking. During the early years of the Cultural Revolution, the pagoda's base and railings were damaged. In the early 1970s, the exposed base was cleaned and protected with a cement skirt. In 1994, while repairs were underway to remove the cement skirt, an underground palace was unexpectedly discovered beneath the pagoda's base. Within the palace, 14 sacred Buddhist artifacts were discovered, including a gold coffin, a silver drumstick, a Buddha tooth relic, a relic, and a kneeling bodhisattva holding the Buddha's true body. Construction resumed at Baoxiang Temple in 1995. In 2008, thieves dug a tunnel to gain access to the underground palace, but fortunately, the artifacts were seized by customs while being smuggled out of the country. The temple is adorned with lush pine and cypress trees, and in autumn, the hall of worship is covered in gilded ginkgo trees. The old monk who had just finished chanting sutras in front of the pagoda was sitting idly in front of the hall. His figure was even more tranquil than the thousand-year-old pagoda.

wql0537The forest is rich in oxygen. This is my second time there. The first time was in autumn when chestnuts matured on the mountain, and this time in spring when peach blossoms were in full bloom. Each has its own merits. I avoided holidays, the environment is very quiet, and there are not many people. It is worth spending four or five hours to play.
