Although only the Temple of Hera and the Temple of Concordia in the east area are well preserved, and the Temple of Zeus, which should have been the most spectacular, was destroyed by an earthquake long ago, leaving only the foundation (the Temple of Hercules next to it still has eight columns), but the display of the remaining parts of the male statues at the corner is still very regrettable after being completed, and you can imagine the scale of the temple at that time. The entire temple area gives people a magnificent and imposing feeling, and the open view overlooking the whole city makes people feel the grandeur of the ancient Agrigento during its heyday. 长空一残月🌙We visited Ortiga as part of a day trip from Taormina. We had a short stop at this place. You definitely need a guide or you will miss the highlights. I would like to stay there for a few days to see everything. Might do so in the future. A day trip is a long day.
