Haiyou Hotel is truly a hidden gem among budget hotels! The price is affordable, but the experience is incredibly good value. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable – it completely exceeded my expectations. For travelers on a budget who still want quality, this is definitely a top choice! The front desk staff was so warm and helpful! She proactively upgraded my room and even provided detailed information on local eateries and transportation routes. Any requests I had during my stay were addressed incredibly quickly, making me feel right at home.

Sheng 45 Is located a 25 minute walk from city attractions and a 15+ minute taxi ride to the train and bus stations. Around 8am and 5pm, traffic is terrible because of parents picking up their kids at the nearby school. The Good The best part was the social experience. A couple volunteers were very friendly. They played games and watched movies with us in the communal area on the ground floor. It is a great place to meet people. The Bad While the dorm bed and room were comfortable, there were significant issues elsewhere. The door to the room made loud noises whenever entering and exiting that disturbed sleep. Someone kept the door to the roof outside open, permitting the toxic stench from the nearby auto shop inside as well as street noise and humidity. There was only one functioning squat toilet on the third floor in a dirty bathroom with little privacy—one of the doors wouldn’t close.

The hotel is conveniently located. The staff were very helpful and patient with me when I encountered problems with my wifi. The rooms were clean and considering the price I paid, the hotel is good enough. If I ever return to Xining, I will stay there again.

Really comfy for short break! I want to go to Tibet via Xinning and it was rainning also that day so I decided to take more time and the receptionist said yes I can. Really thoughtful. The place is really close to the railway station, even when you bring your luggage, it was still easy to get there! The room was okay and has everything you need. The lobby also has convenient store.

They also gave us warm tips on the surrounding places to visit. The room was spacious and bright, the bedding was soft, and it was super comfortable to sleep in. The bathroom was also clean and odorless. There were a lot of breakfast options, and the taste was great, which made me energetic for the whole day. The fitness facilities were new, and it was super relaxing after swimming. The location is excellent, and it is convenient to go anywhere. The staff is on call and the service is thoughtful. It is very cost-effective, and I will stay here next time I come here!

This stay was fantastic! The hotel is just a few hundred meters from Xia Nanguan Street and Daxin Street Night Market, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. The room was fully equipped and spotless, and the common areas were especially cozy. Blackout curtains and adjustable lighting were provided. Cleanliness was impeccable; even the toilet was spotless. The mattress was exceptionally comfortable. Definitely a five-star review! [Strong][Strong][Strong]

Nice room with view from neighborhood. It's 30min walk from downtown but there are plenty of restaurants and markets nearby. I was the only guest during the 4 nights I was there, so not much of an atmosphere despite the nice social areas. The heating system (underfloor) works only in the night so it's a bit chill during the day. There are hot showers and possibly of doing laundry (10yuan a load).

Family members, who knows? The single room in Jinxin Hotel where I stayed this time was equipped with a 1.8-meter bed, which was really nice... The room was clean and tidy, with a simple and stylish decoration style. It should be a newly renovated hotel. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and I slept until dawn. The bathroom was separated into dry and wet areas, and the quality of toiletries was also good. The most amazing thing about this stay was that it was not only equipped with a full range of disposable supplies, but also the quality was far beyond expectations, and I felt very relieved to use it~ And the location of the hotel is also quite amazing. The Daxin Street Night Market is 50 meters away from the hotel. It is said to be the largest and longest night market in Xining, and you can basically eat there without any bad food... And Mojia Street is opposite, which is really convenient...

Pro points - The beds are soft and comfy, good showers with very hot water. Rooms were clean. The buses from outside connect well to the Muslim area of the city and the restaurants nearby are nice. Staff are friendly. Bad points - We booked a non smoking room, all the rooms available were infact non smoking and yet the whole place absolutely stank of cigarettes. We moved rooms because after dinner we came back to a haze of smoke in the room, everyone must be smoking. I live in China, I realise this isn't uncommon, but in that case don't advertise non smoking rooms.

We stayed in Pai Hotel for 1 night in a queen bed room. The room was bigger than expected and comfortable. We had a non-AC room, but that wasn't an issue at all, since the nights were cool. Only downside was that the room was not super clean. There were crumbs and stains on the furniture and floor. Would be nice if they could improve this. The location is 15 minutes walk from the train station, which was very convenient. There are many shops and restaurants nearby.
