2-Star Hotels in Taiwan, China

No slippers or drinking water in the room; apparently, you have to get water from the first floor. Finding parking yourself is a bit inconvenient. The duvet was too thick, so I brought my own thin blanket to solve that issue. By the second day, I had completely adjusted. The hot water was plentiful and strong – thumbs up!

It's about a 15-minute walk to the Good People Hostel, where you'll see many foreigners. There are also many convenient amenities nearby, making it easy to buy daily necessities or find meals. We welcome everyone to experience this unique accommodation. Thank you.

The room is clean and spacious, facilities are great, and the staff are super friendly. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the train station though. Since it’s converted from an old commercial building, you have to climb about 10 steps through the mall to get up to the hotel, not the most convenient if you’ve got big luggage. Also, at night some of the mall doors get locked, so you might need to ask security how to get in, which is a bit of a hassle. Overall, it’s more suitable for business travelers than leisure ones.

First time staying here, and it was a simple, clean place with convenient transportation. Nearby, there's Taichung Second Market with tons of great food, and the Wan Chuan Temple is right next door, which feels like a blessing. The lobby on the first floor has a coffee machine for freshly ground coffee (you can use the cups from your room), and there's a water dispenser on each floor. The only downside is the soundproofing isn't great – you can hear cars and water noises constantly throughout the night. 😂 Staying on a weekday is super affordable (under a thousand NTD), but Friday and Saturday prices double. I booked two consecutive nights (Friday and Saturday) through Trip two weeks ago. When I checked the prices again on the night of check-in, I found that booking those two nights separately would have been 800 NTD cheaper! Isn't it supposed to be more affordable when you book two consecutive nights?

Everything was great! The hotel is conveniently located, just a 10-minute walk from Dongdaemun Night Market. The room was spacious and clean, and the shower was large – overall very comfortable. The hotel's theme is inspired by the world of detectives, like Sherlock Holmes. The only downside was the breakfast; it could definitely be improved. I would definitely return.

We stayed in a double room on the second floor. It was spacious, with a large, comfortable bed. The windows let in plenty of light, and there was a dressing table for putting on makeup. The bathroom was also very clean and spacious. Check-in was self-service, and we provided our own towels, toothbrushes, and tissues. The location was excellent, just a 10-minute walk from Hualien Train Station. Across the street from the hotel were PX Express, breakfast shops, and restaurants, making it very convenient.

A very comfortable environment, perfect for solo female travelers or friends traveling together in a triple room for women. I was lucky enough to meet friendly and chatty roommates, which made for a wonderful experience ❤️

The location is super convenient, but the space is relatively small, and there's not much room to move around in the room itself. I guess I was just unlucky to get a not-so-good roommate. Besides leaving their luggage in the hallway, they also played videos loudly and talked on the phone in the room. Once, at 2 AM, they were still loudly opening and closing cabinets and organizing their belongings. Even other guests in the room had to ask people to be quiet. However, the staff's service attitude was excellent. You can store your luggage for free before check-in and after check-out. Overall, the stay was quite good.

Good location near the main street of Hualien. Free parking next to the hotel. Minimal rooms - bed without a base, mattress only. Chairs in the room on the floor. Fair price.
