A very simple room. Toilet is pretty small and the whole toilet will be wet when you shower as there's no partition. and the placement of tissue paper a little far, on the other end. No free parking provided but at least the parking is just behind. Soundproofing is really bad so it's really noisy, you can hear people talking loudly outside and even the hair drying sound from next door
Very difficult to answer the phone calling from reception until we need come to hotel to inform them to do housekeeping because morning when we go out time that is no one in reception counter to inform to do room service . The contact person they leave at counter no answer too.
Remarks : please buy the cleaning service card and hang on the door so they which room to do housekeeping.
Other than being a bit noisy without soundproofing, the basics were met as the room was clean, including the beddings. The aircon was superb, as it was cold enough. The toilet flushing system was also good; they just forgot to provide toilet roll! ๐ค
Generally, recommended for a short stay. ๐
A comfortable stay, comes with complete basic amenities for budget hotels. Location is strategic as its very near to foodcourt, restaurant, and mamak where you can reach all within walking distance. Convenience store also just beside hotel, with quite a lot of RTE food to choose. But the management should really improve on cleaning aspect. Take my room, a standard family room, the floor got quite a lot of dusk, and toilet and bathroom, only floor were cleaned, where as the wall tiles are dirty.
I recently stayed here for a business trip with four colleagues. We booked five separate rooms, choosing this location based on its competitive pricing and convenient location. While the physical property itself is impressive, the management process left a lot to be desired.
The Good: Comfort & Space
Rooms: The rooms are genuinely clean, neat, and very spacious. For the price point, the value of the actual living space is excellent.
Parking: Finding parking was easy and secure, which was a major plus for our group as we had our own vehicles.
Location: Perfectly situated for getting around Kuantan efficiently.
The Bad: Maintenance & Missing Basics
The property feels slightly neglected in terms of upkeep. In my specific room:
The shower head holder was loose, making it difficult to use.
There were no floor mats provided, which is a basic necessity to avoid tracking water across the room after a shower.
The Ugly: Management & Customer Service
This is where the experience fell short. The administrative side of this stay was disorganized and stressful:
Automated Communication: Their chat system is powered by an AI that provides โcannedโ answers. It failed to address any of our specific questions, making communication feel like a dead end.
Check-in Delays: We weren't sent the check-in passwords on time. We had to track down a separate person-in-charge just to get access to our rooms late in the day.
Pricing Inconsistencies: The documentation stated a RM50 deposit per room, but we were charged RM60. While the amount is small, the inconsistency feels unprofessional and creates a lack of trust.
Final Verdict: If you value space and price above all else, this is a solid choice. However, be prepared to fight for your check-in details and deal with a non-responsive service team. I hope management fixes their communication flow and updates their facilities soon.
The hotel must've seen a more glorious past. Service wise, the hotel staffs are responsive. Facilities wise, it is still adequate. Beyond sleep and bath, I doubt there is much else to do in the premise. Safe neighbourhood.
The comfort level was excellent, very suitable for families. Cleanliness was also good. The only thing missing was an ironing facility. Other amenities were great, with prayer mats, a Qibla direction, and a water heater provided. The location is strategic, close to Kuantan city, and the price is very reasonable. Highly recommended! ๐
Superb vendor! The description was spot on! I couldn't be happier with my acquisition.
This vendor has earned my utmost respect; they are proficient and their goods are first-rate.
We were initially assigned a room on the upper floor, but since my wife recently broke her left leg, I requested a room on the lower floor. We were able to switch to a downstairs room, and I'm very grateful to the administration for accommodating our request. So far, the room is good, but there's no mini-fridge. It would be great if there was one so we could keep our food and drinks cold and prevent them from spoiling.

GGuest UserHi, the price was great and included breakfast. However, the breakfast menu was quite disappointing.
The front office service was excellentโthere was a staff member (Iโm sorry I didnโt catch his name) who was especially helpful. The maintenance team was also superb.
However, it was quite frustrating when we were already tired and the roomโs electricity kept tripping repeatedly, and we eventually had to change rooms. Initially, there were no towels provided as well.
Overall, it was an okay stay.
AAnonymous UserGreat staff and a very friendly atmosphere. Love the communal sitting area and the free teas. Also had laundry service which was great. Private and quiet location so itโs a bit more of a walk out but not by much. Only thing is the shower gets the whole bathroom wet and the water isnโt very hot. There was also only one type of soup - separate shampoo and body wash would have been nice.

MMuhammad Saad E ElaheeIt was okie though at first when I checked in, found blood strain in their curtain though later on I asked to change off then the front office changes it accordingly.
DDKYLimI had a very pleasant stay at Golden Lodge. The room was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, which made the stay very relaxing. Housekeeping did a great job keeping everything tidy and fresh. The location is also a big plus โ itโs conveniently situated near shops, food options, and public transport, making it easy to get around. On top of that, the service was excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with any requests. Overall, Golden Lodge offers great value for money, and I would definitely recommend it to other travellers looking for a clean, well-located place with good service.
CC Ta homestay*************. Bilik family room yg selesa. Perkhidmatan pelanggan yg mesra bila masa check in hotel. Hotel dekat dengan Jeti tanjung gemok. Senang nk cari makan mlm
GGuest UserThe counter service was not very friendly. The room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. We told the counter that we wanted a non-smoking room, and they said there were no other rooms, only this one, and they assured us it would not smell of cigarette smoke. When we entered, the smell was unpleasant, and we had to stay because we had already paid.
