Located right on St. Clair Beach, the room was cozy and, crucially, fully equipped with kitchenware, including a bottle of fresh milk, a large oven, and a hotplate. I took the opportunity to cook a steak and a small beer, which was very comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small, so larger guests might find it uncomfortable. The bed was clean, and the next day, I found a kitten there. We played with it for a while before leaving, and it was very enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend it!
Brilliant place like all haka houses are! Very clean and huge kitchen area, nice lounge area as well! Toilets were clean. Only downside is that there is advertised private parking but when I got there the car park was full with about 6 cars in it! This means you have to either park on the street or go up a huge hill and park outside houses just to get to your car! Wasn’t made clear.
Leviathan Hotel is a classic hotel with a nice interior of the common areas (wooden stairs, old fashioned furniture etc.) and an old style elevator and keys for the doors. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My rooms is in the small side and if your want a super new and spotless hotel this one is a little bit old and worn which is part of its charm.
Very satisfied with the accommodation experience, clean and well-equipped, although it is a public health and kitchen, but it is really clean, cost-effective or secondary, the most surprising thing is that this wine gave me a special experience that the general hotel simply can't give. It is fully integrated into nature. It takes a few minutes to get to the beach. The waves beat the pebbles on the beach. As long as you are happy, the whole beach you can see is you alone. New Zealand itself has fewer people. This beach will make you Do you feel that the whole world is a person, is it a rare special experience? Too much value.
Location was honestly excellent and unbeatable, it’s right next to a bus stop where coaches pick you up for the Milford sound day tour. It’s also a short walk to the steamer wharf area, <5 mins. The girls at the reception were friendly. We had no issues with only being able to access the room after 2pm. The room itself was cosy. This seems to be one of the only rooms with a king bed and private toilet - it’s called Lucy’s room. However, it was really dusty - see the dust we cleaned off the window ledge. I am allergic to dust, so I had to wipe it down myself.. There is a pub nearby so music can be heard all the way till 3/4am on Saturday night, so not recommended if you are a light sleeper. We had a quieter night on Sunday though! If I could do it again, I would have topped up the $50-$60 to book Crowne Plaza, which was also in an equally prime spot.

GGuest UserThe staff was very friendly and the price was reasonable but the room I got was right across the bar and people partied til 3 am when it’s Friday or weekends… impossible to fall asleep. I think I won’t stay here for sure next time ;(

MM484977****While the room was on the smaller side, this was anticipated given that it doesn't offer a private bathroom. The listing indicated a 'separate toilet,' but in reality, it was just a washbasin within the room, and the toilet itself was shared. If privacy for facilities is important to you, I'd strongly advise against booking.
Parking was also a significant challenge. The hotel lacks its own car park, requiring guests to find street parking. There are only two spots directly outside the hotel, which are rarely vacant and can be used by non-guests too. The whole street is usually packed with parked cars, making it extremely difficult to find a space.
Opposite the hotel are private residences. We found the occupants to be quite rude; they aggressively told us not to park in any seemingly empty spots in front of their properties. This was the only instance of rudeness I encountered during my entire trip to New Zealand; every other local I met was incredibly friendly.

JjialeigongThe location is fantastic. But to be honest, the room only have two beds. No table or anything else. The heater is very hard to turn on so we give up. And if you arrived late, you need to figure out how to use a phone App to open the door. Which take me half hour.
GGuest UserCleanliness and facilities are average. The bathroom needs to be improved. There is a strong smell when I open the door. I need to open the door to let the air circulate to feel better. Other services and location are very satisfactory. There is a very beautiful beach nearby.
