One of my favourite stays in 6 months across China Communication before arrival was smooth via WeChat, and the staff proactively helped me plan a full itinerary for the region, all in English, which as a foreign solo traveller in China I truly appreciated. The hotel arranged a driver who picked me up directly at the train station gate and took me wherever I needed to go. I could adjust my plans at any time, and he was always there waiting or arrived right on schedule. The whole organzation was genuinely flexible and reliable. The location of the hotel is perfect, like less than 10 minutes walking from Danxia Park West Gate, so you can catch the 5:30 AM opening for sunrise at Platform 1 and go for sunset at Platform 3. The staff helped me to go to Binguo, Kangle Grassland, Alien Scenic Park, Pingshan Grand Canyon and Mati Temple. Over 5 days, I saw far more than I ever could have managed on my own, especially as this area is really remote and no didi is available. It is one of my favourite trips and stays from six months in China and I’ve seen quite a bit. Would come back without hesitation.

Bringing my family to Dunhuang, 🏜️ it felt like a dream stepping into Dunhuang. We stayed in a desert RV, nestled in the golden sands, a dream of constant temperature. The room facilities were complete and comfortable, the bedding was cozy, and we had personalized butler service. Only guests are allowed inside, making it very quiet and spacious. We had a whole section of the desert to ourselves, enjoying the joy of having an entire golden sand sea – it's absolutely a stunning spot for photos. Life experience +1: Camping in the desert. It was an amazing experience! They offered complimentary ATV dune buggy rides, which were thrilling and novel. We could slide down the sand dunes for free, and the kids had a blast! Highly recommend!

I came to Dunhuang for a cultural trip and stayed at Dunhuang Hotel for two days. The hotel has an ancient and profound charm, and the service was excellent. The best part was the several handsome young men at the entrance and front desk who helped with luggage and provided high-speed train station drop-off service. The toiletries in the room were of high quality, and the room was clean and tidy. The only downside was the poor soundproofing of the rooms. During my nap and in the middle of the night, various noises from outside the door sounded like they were right next to my ear, making it impossible to sleep. Also, some of the female staff at the front desk were a bit aloof. When I specifically asked for a quieter room, their cold and perfunctory response was unpleasant. The self-service laundry was also very far away. The breakfast, dinner, and coffee at the Star-Gazing Pavilion were unforgettable, especially the beef noodles – they were absolutely delicious!

One of the biggest highlights of this hotel is the warmth of all the staff. They were always smiling and proactive in offering help, which made me, a solo traveler, feel incredibly welcome. The room's cleanliness was also very satisfying; everything from the bedding to the bathroom was spotless and fresh. The free parking lot had plenty of spaces, which was very convenient. In the evening, I could enjoy a grand yet peaceful desert sunset right from my tent. At night, without any light pollution, the starry sky was exceptionally clear and bright, seemingly within reach. This stay, from the facilities to the service, and from the views to the atmosphere, was absolutely perfect.

This hotel is located in Lanzhou Old Street, offering a quiet retreat amidst a bustling area. We were upgraded to a quieter room, which really made for a comfortable night's sleep. The facilities are good too; it would be even more convenient if there was a coffee table to place things on. What truly impressed me the most was the hotel's service. All the staff members were warm and friendly, including the cleaning aunties, who provided timely and attentive service. They even thoughtfully prepared a 'cheer-up' kit for us participants of the Lanzhou Marathon, which included various snacks, cooling patches, and band-aids – something I've never encountered before! There was also a special backdrop in the hotel lobby, showing how much effort Lanzhou as a city put into making this event a success. It was truly touching. The hotel is conveniently located less than a 10-minute walk from Matan Metro Station, with plenty of bus routes nearby. I really enjoyed Lanzhou Old Street; it has everything for dining, lodging, and entertainment. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Lanzhou.

The hotel's location and surroundings are great. It's diagonally across the road from Zhangye West Station, about a seven to eight-minute walk. Although it's in a new area, there are plenty of restaurants downstairs. Baifu, a restaurant on the 'must-try' list, is directly opposite the hotel, offering a rich variety of dining options. As for facilities and service, the hotel rooms are clean and tidy, and the service team is friendly and attentive. The only slight drawback might be the showerhead's low position; when hung on the wall, it's even lower than knee height, so you have to hold it the entire time. Though, on the bright side, it helps Zhangye conserve water!

Facilities: Excellent. The in-room amenities are all very good. Hygiene: The room was clean and well-maintained. Environment: Both the hotel environment and the room environment are very good. Service: The three ladies at the front desk provided incredibly attentive service. When we checked in, one of them helped us with our luggage, which was very welcoming. Anything we needed was delivered promptly. For a small county like Xiahe, a hotel with this level of service is highly recommended.

Highly recommend the Earth-Built Hotel! The room styles are unique, making for a warm and cozy stay. The hygiene is top-notch, with every detail sparkling clean. Their beverages are great too; the pour-over coffee is aromatic, and the teas are authentic. The staff provides thoughtful and genuine service, very friendly without being overbearing. It was a truly relaxing stay, and the price is reasonable. Whether it's for a short getaway or a stopover, it's an excellent choice and a perfect spot for photos. Definitely worth a return visit!

My stay was great! It's a bit tricky to find the location, but the staff were very helpful in guiding me. The environment is lovely, very new and clean. All the toiletries, including face towels, bath towels, shampoo, and shower gel, are disposable, so no worries about hygiene. The cleaning lady was also very kind. Honestly, if you're looking for a place to stay nearby, this is a top choice, and the price is very reasonable too.
