Aside the environs outside the hotel which wasn’t neat, our stay at the hotel was so pleasant. Rooms were neat and just perfect. We enjoyed our stay. Proximity to eateries and tourist sites was a plus

The room was clean and spacious. The location is excellent, as the hotel is directly opposite the train station, and most sightseeing spots are within a 10–20 minute walk. We traveled to Brussels mainly for the Christmas markets, which were spread across different areas of the city, and we were able to reach all of them on foot. Although the breakfast was not particularly impressive, it was still convenient and nice to have it included in the stay.
Everything was excellent! Customer service was great and they were very friendly. The beds were so comfortable and the breakfast was one of the best I had ever tasted! The parking garage is limited and tight however we were able to fit our van.
I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel!
Hotel is in good location just 6 min walk from Brussels Zuid /Midi station and directly opposite tram stop making it a good base to stay for daily day excursions. Rooms were spacious but has very basic amenities like shower gel, shampoo and hand soap with tea and coffee facility. Drinking water station is in the lobby. No fridge or safe in the room and pillows too soft with no neck support. Reception staff service level can be improved. Good location made up for lack of amenities and service.
The hotel staff are friendly. Note that the hotel does not accept cash for payments, including the tourist tax for your stay.
The hotel itself is nice, modern, and equipped with a lift. The hotel focuses on minimalism, so you won't find a closed-door wardrobe. Both the room and toilet are equipped with a heater. The bed and latex pillows are comfortable. They also provide branded Nuxe shampoo and handwash.
Complimentary bottled water and coffee drinks are provided only on the first day of your stay.
However, there are a few areas where the hotel fell below my expectations:
No free slippers or toiletries (e.g., toothbrush and toothpaste) are provided.
The water flow from the shower is weak, although still bearable.
No fridge in the room.
You need to request an electric kettle from the receptionist. (How much would it cost to place one in each room?)
The most disappointing factor is that the air conditioner did not allow me to select ”cold” mode during my stay in mid-April—it only had ”heat” mode. Seriously?
Also, if you plan to store your luggage overnight at the hotel, it won't be possible as they do not accept overnight storage.
Location note:
The hotel is located about 500 metres from Bruxelles-Midi / Brussel-Zuid station. It can be quite scary walking from the train station to the hotel at night, as the surrounding area is occupied by African shops and residences. This may not be convenient for female travellers.
If your budget allows, I suggest staying at the Pullman, which is adjacent to the train station, especially if you need to catch an early train the next day. Otherwise, consider staying near Grand Place.

Hygiene: The room was very clean.
Service: The service was also quite good. They even hand-wrote a welcome letter during check-in, which was a nice touch.
Environment: Convenient stores and restaurants are quite close by.
Facilities: The shower stall was a bit small, and there was no bottled water in the room, but overall it was fine.
Perfect location if you are transiting or staying there for a short period of time as it opposite the train station. If you want to do more of the tourist stuff, you should stay nearer to the city center. The room is comfortable and the hotel provides free coffee at the lobby as well.
It was alright, pretty standard. It's quite close to the station, and the supermarket behind the hotel has incredibly cheap prices, which was a pleasant surprise! As for the hotel itself, well, it's missing a lot of basic amenities. No slippers, no toothbrush or comb, no kettle, no cups. I can somewhat understand not having a toothbrush, comb, or kettle, since it's Europe after all, but no slippers or cups? That's just unacceptable. Check-in involves doing it online first, then picking up your room key from the front desk. And a 10 AM check-out time is just unreasonable. They say it's new in 2025, but it feels more like a renovation.

The elevator can be a bit slow at times, but the location in the commercial district is super convenient for getting around. There are tons of dining options right downstairs, and most attractions are within walking distance. However, because of the shops downstairs, it can get a bit noisy at night, with music and singing audible.
Everything was great except for the lady at the bar counter of Baron Bar on the first floor who I think was ******. While waiting to check in, need to use the bathroom, was inform by the receptionist of the code to use the bathroom but the lady at the bar counter refused to let us use the bathroom even knowing that we are the hotel guests.

GGuest UserI prefered this hotel as it is close to the EU institutions. However, there are better hotels on other parts of the city. In booking, I didn't select the breakfast as I confused. When I arrived the hotel, they told me to include breakfast for 29$ per day, which was expensive. When booking, I read that there would be drinking water as complementary but there was only empty bottles and it should be filled in from a machine next to the elevators. Lastly, the room was noisy because windows are not noise dampening. The furniture was also outdated.
SSheryn ChowWe departed from London to Belgium via Eurostar. It was about 20 minutes walking distance from Eurostar Station to Bedford Hotel. Further, lot of eateries restaurants and cafe, carrefour and Grand Place all within walking distance of 10 minutes. We joined 2 day tours to Ghent & Brugge and Luxembourg. The meeting point is about 18 minutes walks. Overall the hotel is very convenient and staff are very welcome and friendly. Will stay again should we have come to Belgium again as this hotel was higher recommended by my daughter who stayed here with friends before. We stayed here for 4 nights before departing to Amsterdam.
AAnonymous UserThe staff were incredibly friendly, from the restaurant to housekeeping and the front desk.
The room was a bit small, but for Europe, I'd say it was quite spacious. The decor was rainforest-themed – a design that really depends on individual taste.
We had a twin room, and the two beds were easily pushed apart. The small stone table next to the bed, where the phone was placed, was a bit wobbly and could easily be knocked over, so be careful not to drop it on your foot.
The bathroom was semi-separated (wet and dry areas), as the shower only had a half-glass partition, meaning water would splash out. Remember to lay the bath mat on the floor to avoid slipping. I loved the illuminated, extendable magnifying mirror – perfect for when I put in my contact lenses.
Cleanliness was excellent. The bath towels were good quality, and the tissues and toilet paper were thick (finally, not those flimsy single-ply ones, if you know what I mean!).
The shampoo left my hair feeling very dry, and the conditioner was just average. However, the shower gel and body lotion smelled fantastic! You can buy them in the lobby for 38 or 28 euros, I think.
There's a water dispenser by the elevator where you can fill the glass bottles from your room with ice water. The bottles are small, so I asked for an extra one, which was just enough for two people.
The sandwiches downstairs were pretty good.
The hotel is super conveniently located, just a few steps from the Rogier metro station, making it easy to get anywhere. However, do be aware of loiterers in the area.
For me, the only downside to this hotel was that if the bathroom door was left open, the room would get a sewer smell.

GGuest UserThe staff are all very friendly! The location is close to tourist spots such as manneken pis and Saint-Nicolas, only several minutes of walk.
However, the hangers provided in the room are almost damaged and the window could not be fully closed that it was cold to sleep on the right hand side. Although it is not a very big problem, I still expected the whole environment could have been even better.
AAnonymous UserPros:
1. **Convenient Location:** The hotel is right above various transportation hubs, including bus stops, tram stations, and a subway station.
2. **Close to Train Station:** The train station is large and very close; I walked there in 8 minutes, and the path was good, making it easy to pull my luggage.
3. **Modern Room Amenities:** The room has full electronic controls and air conditioning, so the hardware facilities are quite good.
4. **Modern Art Vibe:** I really liked the modern art atmosphere throughout the building. There were also many art books by world-renowned modern artists nearby, which I took some time to browse.
5. **Fresh Linens:** The bedding was relatively new, well-laundered, and neatly ironed.
6. **Excellent Breakfast:** The breakfast was fantastic! There was a chef making omelets to order, smoked salmon, and a variety of hot dishes every day.
7. **Shopping Nearby:** There's a large shopping mall and a commercial street just across the road.
Cons:
1. **Housekeeping Issue:** One day, I turned on the 'make up room' light and left. The housekeeping department didn't clean my room. When I returned in the evening and saw them outside the neighboring room, I asked them to clean mine as soon as possible, and I went to the lobby to wait. After an hour and forty minutes, I came back, and the room still hadn't been cleaned. This felt disrespectful to me. I spoke to the front desk, and after a few more tens of minutes, I inquired again, and the room was finally cleaned. This issue didn't happen again.
2. **Water Stains:** Some of the facilities had white limescale, which should be cleaned more thoroughly.

GGuest UserThe room was a bit small overall, making it a little tight with large luggage. However, the environment was lovely, clean, and cozy. The hotel's location is super convenient, right next to the central train station, which has a supermarket and McDonald's. Just a heads-up, the supermarket closes quite early. You can buy an all-day pass for unlimited train rides.
GGuest UserPlus:
The room is really big. So is the bed. It is so big that makes me think as if it is king size bed to house politicians or prime minister from the 80s, 90s.
There is heating both in the room and in the shower
There is air con set in the room( but I didn't try to see if it works)
This hotel is located less than 10 mins walk from Brussels north station
Minus
The room look really old. May be 90s, if not 80s.
There is no carpet on the floor. It is really clean but it is really cold to step on. Bring your own slippers.
The room is dim. And some lights were spoilt.
Even if was told it is a non smoking room, the room has lingering smoking smell. Someone smoked in this room before. I told the front desk, he said he will check but when I return from the city , the smell is there still.
The bathroom has some odd smell. May b smell of roaches, or roaches in the pipes.
The shower curtain smell of mould and damp cloth/ damp laundry.
The heating stop around 2am. May b there is max amount of heating one room could use. Make sure you time your heating usage carefully.
The wall is really thin. You can hear when someone is around the lift, going towards their room or what next door is up to.
I can hear everything happening outside, on the street, from police car n siren rushing up and down, to people wondering on the street, their conversation. I don't feel safe here. I can't relax and sleep.
I don't like the paper cup given together with coffee and the place to brush teeth. May be the hotel suffer too often from being stolen . But that make the hotel rating dropping from 1star hotel to guest house.
The toilet spoilt in the middle of the night and you can hear water flowing all night. Need to maneuver with the old school toilet pull button .
I appreciate the effort they maintain it but personally I don't like it. unless you have really early bus or train to catch, and is on a shoe string budget then it is your choice.

KKate ThomCheck-in is 3pm and we arrived at 3pm but the room was only ready at almost 4pm. The story was that it was cleaned already but ”awaiting inspection”. We were handed 2 bar coupons with a blithe apology in rapid fire French for our 50 min wait.
The vacuuming in the room left much to be desired. When we got into the room on the 1st day, there was a pistachio at the side of the bed. My sister's dust allergy was triggered throughout our 4 day stay.
When we opted for housekeeping on the 3rd of the 4 days we stayed, the same pistachio remained there after the cleaning staff were done. Towels and bed linens were refreshed but the coffee/tea and bathroom amenities were not.
If you choose the Deluxe twin room like we did, please note that the room is 24 metre square and there is only room to open up one medium sized suitcase on the ground. Our other suitcase had to be accessed via the wardrobe which was spacious enough to keep the 2nd suitcase in.
Location wise, it's ideal and a stone's throw from Grand Place - the historic city centre, and many shops and good brasseries. It's a 10 min uphill walk from the hotel to the nearest train station called Brussel Centraal / Bruxelles-Midi which will bring you straight to the Brussels Airport in 17 min on the direct train (1st class carriage €12.10).
The buffet breakfast is plentiful and of good quality (with eggs cooked to order) in a nice space with a courtyard view crewed by pleasant staff fluent in English.
The bar has a relaxing ambience with an outdoor view and affordable drinks. My guide is always how much the increasingly rare digestif liqueur Chartreuse Verte costs. It was €14 per pour. Note : You get a free coupon for a soft drink/coffee/beer/wine if you pass up on room cleaning. If you have a short stay, you should as there wasn't much cleaning done.
