Staying at the InterContinental Fuzhou Shimao was an absolute treat, offering incredible value for money. My experience completely exceeded expectations. The friendly and polite gentleman with glasses at the front desk (just to the right) was incredibly welcoming and proactively upgraded my room for free. The upgraded room was spacious, bright, clean, and comfortable, with excellent facilities. The city view was absolutely stunning – what a pleasant surprise! Thank you! The hotel's location is superb, right in the city center. It's within walking distance of Chating Station on Metro Line 1, making it super convenient to get to Fuzhou Station and Fuzhou South Station. Chating Park is also right next door. The hotel's dining options were convenient and high-quality. I highly recommend staying here when you visit Fuzhou!

Location: Super convenient, right next to MixC shopping mall, so all your shopping and dining needs are covered.
View: Coming from Qingdao, I wasn't really focused on a sea view, so I chose Andaz. The city view from the high floor was still quite good.
Facilities: The hotel's design and aesthetics are really on point, you can take a lot of photos. It has a Nanyang style.
Food: Breakfast is a mix of à la carte and buffet, and the satay noodles were absolutely delicious.
Service: Every staff member I encountered was wonderful, always smiling. I was particularly impressed by a petite young woman around 2:51 PM on April 25th when I was checking out. While the other doormen were assisting other guests, she rushed over and proactively helped me put my luggage in the trunk. Kudos to her!
Butler Service: I did add them on WeChat, but if you need something, it's quicker to just dial '0' yourself.
The Kempinski Hotel Xiamen, located by the stunning Yundang Lake, receives rave reviews! It boasts breathtaking lake views, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The 'Little Yellow Duck' family room is particularly charming and fun, equipped with a tent and various toys – a real lifesaver for families with kids. The service is attentive and thoughtful, with a 24-hour butler on call. The buffet at the second-floor café is incredibly rich and varied, featuring Da Dong roast duck, freshly steamed seafood, and plump salmon sashimi. The Yue Fu Grand Restaurant offers authentic Cantonese cuisine and dim sum. The hotel's location is also great for families, with Yundang Lake Park and Nanhu Park within walking distance. It's perfect for both business trips and family vacations, with attention to detail that makes it highly recommended!

This is a great hotel! Its location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from the West Gate of the ancient city. Plus, if you take advantage of the hotel's complimentary ancient city tour bus (be mindful of the limited departure times), it drops you right at the South Gate. From there, you can explore the ancient city from the South Gate to the West Gate, saving yourself some walking. Another plus is the ample underground parking. The rooms are spacious, especially the bathroom, which is well-designed and highly functional. The toiletries provided are high-quality, and there's even direct drinking water available. If you prefer bottled water, they're happy to provide it too. A thoughtful touch is the choice of thick or thin duvets. Furthermore, the room ventilation is excellent. Overall, our stay was ideal. The front desk service was efficient and straightforward. The breakfast offers a good variety of local specialties; I regret only staying one day and not being able to try them all. The weather wasn't ideal during my visit, so I missed out on the scenic views from the rooftop restaurant, which is a shame. I'd love to come back again when I have the chance!

Service: The service was incredibly attentive and efficient. They were very quick to respond to requests, definitely a five-star experience.
Environment: The view was fantastic, overlooking the Min River. We got to watch the sunset, which was absolutely beautiful.
Facilities: The TV wasn't a smart TV, so we couldn't cast anything to it. Hopefully, they'll update that soon. I really liked the toiletries, though.
Breakfast: There was a good variety of options, but the taste was just average. It was extremely crowded, and there was a lot of waiting in line.

For my Quanzhou trip, I chose the InterContinental Taihe, initially drawn by its convenient location, close to all the main attractions.
I booked an Executive Suite, which included Executive Lounge access. The room offered simultaneous views of the Ferris wheel and Jinjiang Bridge – you could watch the tide come and go during the day, and the nighttime views were even more stunning. Right next door was the Maritime Silk Road Xunfeng Night Market, bustling with local life.
From check-in onwards, the staff's service was exceptional, especially Ms. Xiao Mao. Her service was consistently attentive and responsive to every request. The room key card was also very unique and made for a nice souvenir.
The breakfast is highly recommended; it featured almost every type of Quanzhou snack, allowing you to savor global delicacies without leaving the hotel. Western dishes, fruits, and regular breakfast items were also plentiful. It truly lives up to its reputation as a 'World City of Gastronomy,' and I can understand why international visitors also choose to stay here.

My family and I spent a week in Xiamen, staying at the Lujiang Hotel for the entire trip with three adults. It was a dream come true, fulfilling a little wish I had since my first visit to Xiamen seven years ago. We opted for a parent-child suite with a tatami mat, and the room was spacious enough. During the day, the tatami served as a tea table, perfect for enjoying tea while admiring the river view. At night, two adults could comfortably sleep on it without disturbing each other (I even think three adults could fit). The newly renovated Lujiang Hotel impressed us in every aspect, from soundproofing to bathroom facilities. The double-glazed windows completely blocked out the noise from the busy road, and the bathroom fixtures were comfortable and smart. Let me detail our experience:
Service: From the doormen to the front desk, from the lobby elevator service to the housekeeping staff, every hotel employee we encountered was warm, patient, and thoughtful. They engaged in pleasant conversations and offered helpful tourist information. Since we stayed for a week, we needed to wash and dry clothes. Initially, I couldn't find a place to hang them in the room and had to make do with improvised spots, thinking the hotel hadn't fully considered this, but I didn't proactively ask. However, when we returned from an outing the next day, the housekeeping staff had already placed a portable retractable clothes rack in the corner of the room and hung our clothes to dry. This truly showcased the hotel's meticulous service. My elders particularly loved the cute food delivery robots and always tried to interact with them when opening the door to collect meals.
Welcome Fruit: A fresh plate was delivered daily.
Minibar: Replenished daily.
Lobby Bar 'Time Tunnel 1958': For our 5-day stay, the hotel provided 10 afternoon tea vouchers. They offered tea, pastries, vegetables, fruits, and yogurt, which I found perfectly adequate for a simple afternoon snack.
Breakfast: The rave reviews for the hotel's breakfast are well-deserved. Besides the beautiful outdoor seating with views, during our stay, they consistently offered salmon, foie gras, and sea cucumber, along with a wide variety of dim sum. I especially loved the savory taro paste and peach gum bird's nest – these are must-try items at the hotel.
Summary: Both of my elders have high standards for hotels, and this time, they unanimously praised and were deeply impressed by Lujiang's overall environment, hygiene conditions, bedding and bathroom comfort, service, and convenient location. It will likely be their top choice for future visits to Xiamen.

Facilities: Very complete and convenient.
Cleanliness: Very clean, not a speck of dust.
Environment: The room I booked was very spacious and comfortable. There was enough space for two large 28-inch suitcases.
Service: The hotel offers latex pillows and a wake-up service. There's even a clothes drying rack above the bathtub in the room.
The location is very close to Jinjiang Airport, making it super convenient for early flights or layovers. The lobby design is distinctive, and the spiral staircase is perfect for photos. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, equipped with a bathtub and a mini-bar, and all the amenities you need. The hotel also has a laundry room, a gym, and a rich variety of options for the self-service breakfast. Overall, it's clean and tidy, with attentive service. It's suitable for both layovers and short trips, highly recommended.

We chose a suite because we were traveling with elderly parents, and we were truly satisfied. The room was clean and comfortable, offering a view of the entire West Lake Grand Park. Accessing the park was also very convenient; we could just swipe our room card right next to the hotel without having to go the long way around. Plus, the suite allowed us to enjoy afternoon tea and happy hour at the 21st-floor executive lounge, which my parents absolutely loved. Another major perk is that the hotel's location is incredibly convenient for getting to Sanfang Qixiang, Shangxiahang, and Yantaishan – whether by subway or taxi.

The room offered a fantastic view, which was truly pleasant. It was well-equipped, spacious, clean, and quiet, making for a very comfortable stay. Both the Chinese and Western restaurants provided excellent service and delicious food. The buffet restaurant also had a great variety of dishes and good service. The hotel's location is excellent, being very close and convenient to attractions like Nanputuo Temple and Xiamen University. A special thanks to our housekeeper Isabella for her attentive and thoughtful service throughout our stay.

AAnonymous UserThe room was decent, and the hotel is conveniently located near the seaside and the ferry terminal. It's right next to Zhonghua City, and just a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan Road, though I wouldn't recommend Zhongshan Road as the environment isn't great. The Botanical Garden, Huli Mountain Fortress, Xiamen University, Baicheng Beach, the Coastal Road, and the 'Sea View of Kinmen' tour from Heping Wharf are all worth visiting. Definitely avoid the offshore cruises recommended by people on the street – they're usually from sketchy companies. Breakfast offered a good variety, but the soy milk and fried dough sticks were a bit cold, and I couldn't get used to the duck blood in the oyster vermicelli soup.

FflubberGrand Honor Hotel is definitely the best hotel in Shishi, but it’s not quite the same level as a luxury hotel in a bigger city. Generally the hotel is clean, but it’s the little things that I noticed, ie when I checked in, there were some sweet wrappers next to the bowl of sweets that weren’t cleared away. That said, the sense of space is evident in the hotel lobby, lifts, corridors and most importantly, the hotel rooms.
Rooms are very spacious and well-designed, although the closet area can definitely do with brighter lights. Most amenities are provided but what put me off is that many items that would have been free in other hotels at this price-range aren’t free at Grand Honor. There is a Chinese tea set on the table and usually the loose leaf tea is provided for free but it cost ¥15 per packet. Honestly it’s not a lot of money for us, but on the flip side, surely the hotel can provide a bag of tea leaves for their guests. There are the standard free single-use packet tea in the drawer so at least there’s that.
In-room slippers are not to be taken out; they’d charge you if you do - and that’s fine, but the slippers are actually really uncomfortable to wear.
The small plate of fruits (banana, plum and mandarin) given at 5pm every day is a nice touch.
The hotel breakfast is probably the highlight. Set on the 22nd floor with panoramic views of the city, breakfast is very enjoyable. The food quality is pretty good, but a real surprise here is the sheer diversity of food. The bread selection alone has 5-6 choices (pastries, brioche, baguette, square toast, etc), the cooked food section is almost endless (and there’s cooked Chinese vegetables! 👏🏾) and then there’s the fruit selection at the end too. My only gripe is that the coffee machine is a bit slow, and there’s only one machine so there can be a wait for coffee.
Location of the hotel is a little odd; good restaurants and the main mall is about 15 mins’ walk away. There aren’t many good shops to wander around nearby.
Generally, this is a solid hotel for this price point. Excellent service with very fast food delivery (using the ubiquitous delivery robots) and friendly front desk staff.
GGuest UserBooked too late, so all the hotels in the city center couldn't accommodate my booking requirements. I had no choice but to opt for Shoukia Junlan Hotel. The hotel's location is indeed a bit out of the way, but it's right by a subway station, which is convenient for those without a car. The subway goes directly to the Sanqixiang Scenic Area. Since I arrived quite late on the day of check-in, I had dinner directly at the ground floor restaurant. The hotel's Chinese food was quite good and the portions were generous. We ate until past 9 PM, and the staff were still very polite and didn't complain. Also, Auntie Zhu Yuanyuan, our room attendant on the tenth floor, was incredibly warm and polite, always ready to help with anything we needed. She promptly arranged anything we requested. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserThe hotel was good. It's quite close to the attractions I visited, and transportation is convenient. The breakfast was surprisingly good too, with local specialties like 'Laohua' (a type of noodle soup) and fish balls, which were delicious. The room was clean and well-arranged, and I particularly enjoyed the smart toilet – very comfortable. The hotel service was also excellent; I arrived quite late, and they thoughtfully provided an eye mask and earplugs.

FFelix·LinOverall, it was pretty good. The room was clean, and check-in/check-out was efficient. A really nice perk is that you get a full 24 hours from when you check in, so there's no rush to leave if you arrive in the afternoon. There's also a subway station nearby, which makes getting around very convenient.
KKafeihentianEvery staff member at the hotel was incredibly kind and patient. They'd escort you to your room, help with luggage, and all visible snacks and drinks were complimentary. It was very relaxing. Getting to Sanfang Qixiang was also super convenient. The room had tea and books, and these books introduced famous figures and literati who lived in Sanfang Qixiang.
Welcome fruits and a greeting gift were delivered directly to the room.
For the Chinese bead stringing cultural experience, my child still wears the beads they strung themselves.
Besides these, you could also make your own postcards and lacquer fans.
Finally, we even received a parting gift.
Fuzhou's winter really isn't cold at all; I even saw mosquitoes!
GGuest UserThe room was fantastic, and they even gave the kids some arcade tokens, which they loved. The next morning, we went up to the Cloud Observation Deck. Even though the weather wasn't great and we missed the sunrise, we still got to see a beautiful panoramic view of Longyan city, which was pretty amazing. During the Chinese New Year, they also organized some intangible cultural heritage experiences, like making lacquer fans and woodblock prints. The kids had a blast and even learned something new! 😄😄
The breakfast was incredibly rich with lots of local specialties, and the taste was really authentic. They had both Chinese and Western options, highly recommend it!
