"Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at The St. Regis Lhasa Resort. A special thanks to front desk staff member Riri for doing her best to coordinate a suitable room according to my request. Also, the butler and maintenance technician resolved an air conditioning issue in the middle of the night. The professionalism, dedication, and enthusiasm of all the staff at The St. Regis Lhasa Resort, from top to bottom, brought warmth and moved us during our time in Lhasa. There's no distinction of 'high or low' among people; hotel guests and staff simply have different roles and responsibilities. The key lies in how guests' concerns are addressed and the attitude and problem-solving approach of the staff when issues arise. We had booked a basic room, but because I'm sensitive to noise, Riri helped us upgrade to a quieter room. The air conditioning in our room would turn on automatically after being turned off. Around 1 AM, the maintenance technician came back and forth three times. Eventually, they decided to turn off the AC's circuit breaker and fix it the next day (which they did). Before we left, they even sent a small gift as an apology. Breakfast was decent, but I'd describe it as exquisite in presentation, bland in taste, and lacking variety. However, I've also tried meals at the Shangri-La Lhasa, the Crowne Plaza Linzhi, and the Songtsam Bason Co Linka, where some ingredients are even transported from Sichuan in advance due to special circumstances. The taste is generally similar across the board. Given the challenging environment, I believe they've done their best to achieve this level. Regarding some of the room's hardware, there's definitely room for improvement, and the hotel itself is aware of this. I hope to see improvements in the future. I forgot to take photos of the hotel."

"Facilities: Excellent, very new, very satisfied. Cleanliness: Decent. At first glance, it was very clean, but when I looked closely at the toilet, I found a few hairs, which was a bit disgusting. Needs improvement. Environment: Great, especially good. The best hotel in town. Felt comfortable as soon as I entered the lobby. Service: Excellent, very welcoming. When going to Mount Everest, you still need a comfortable place to stay. This hotel is at a 4-5 star standard. It felt very comfortable as soon as I entered the lobby. There's an underground parking lot, which is very convenient for parking. The only thing is I couldn't figure out how to charge my car. Breakfast was a bit mediocre but not inedible; it was acceptable."

"It was my first time to experience Songtsam and it felt very good. The location is first-class, and the room is comfortable, warm and pleasant. At first, I felt that the ******* staff were a bit cold and the communication was not smooth. We went to the restaurant and asked if afternoon tea (complimentary) was available? He said no, which was very disappointing. After we sat for a while and prepared to go out to eat, he asked if he wanted to pack afternoon tea for us to take away. It turned out that it was already being prepared! I don't know where there is a misunderstanding. After staying for a day, I got used to their shyness but their patience and thoughtfulness. I like Songtsam and will continue to experience other places in the future."

"This was my first time visiting Tibet, and I chose the Shangri-La. The front desk had a short-haired young lady who was incredibly friendly and even upgraded our room. The welcome fruit and small welcome cakes were a lovely touch. The hotel's medical room was also a lifesaver. When a family member experienced altitude sickness, they immediately got an IV and oxygen. Plus, we could take an oxygen tank back to the room for 780 RMB. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk to the Tibet Museum and a 10-minute walk to Norbulingka. Taxis are also readily available for getting around. The breakfast selection was extensive. While the afternoon tea and dinner options weren't vast, they were all delicious. My only minor complaint would be that upon check-in, no one escorted us to our room or helped with our luggage. For first-time guests, dragging two large suitcases and suffering from altitude sickness, it took a while to find our room."

A special thank you goes to Manager Shiyi, a benchmark for service in the hotel industry! She called beforehand to confirm (though I missed the call), and upon arrival, upgraded our family of three to a family suite (two bedrooms and a living room, ridiculously spacious). She also recommended Xiao Pangzi Sichuan restaurant to us (which was delicious!). After checking in, any questions we had were answered very promptly, and she even allowed us to check out late at 3:30 PM, so my parents could rest well before their 4 PM high-speed train. We are truly grateful! I've never been so well taken care of as a Titanium Elite member at any Marriott property! 4. The hotel robots proactively deliver takeout to the room, a blessing for lazy people. 5. The breakfast was unexpectedly good, comparable to the St. Regis Lhasa."

"I absolutely love Farly Hotel. The staff, both the ladies and gentlemen, are incredibly kind and welcoming. The hotel offers a wide range of activities, like spinning prayer wheels and performing sang offerings. I particularly recommend the evening sound bath experience and the morning Pilates. The instructor's stretching exercises really helped improve my posture. I also woke up early to watch the sunrise, but there's a mountain to the east of Farly, so the sun actually appears about 45 minutes after the official sunrise time. Still, it was a beautiful sight."

"I came to Lhasa backpacking alone, initially planning to rough it in a hostel for a few nights. But then a friend practically forced me to try this Hilton, saying 'you'll know once you stay here.' And okay, I admit, I'm completely hooked! The service was incredibly good. They proactively said, 'Let me arrange a comfortable yet affordable room for you,' and even hand-wrote a 'Lhasa guide' – telling me where to find the cheapest sweet tea, which monasteries have free entry, and which bus routes offer the best scenic views. The most touching moment was when I came back drenched from the rain one day. Immediately, someone brought me a bowl of hot herbal tea and a blanket, saying, 'Don't catch a cold, getting sick at high altitude is a hassle.' This kind of genuine care is something you might not even find in a five-star hotel. The value for money was surprisingly good. Honestly, I expected a Hilton to cost at least several hundred, but the price I booked was much lower than I anticipated, even more cost-effective than some private rooms in hostels. The room was clean and spacious, with oxygen supply and a humidifier, ensuring a really sound sleep at night. While breakfast wasn't a lavish buffet, it offered plenty of tsampa, butter tea, and boiled eggs, enough to keep me full until the afternoon, saving me lunch money. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, and getting to the Potala Palace or Jokhang Temple costs just one yuan, making transportation costs almost negligible. After this stay, I feel like I hit the jackpot. Not just because it was affordable, but because of the unreserved kindness from the ******* people. "What an amazing hotel, the rooms are immaculate and mine had a view of Potalo palace. The food is delicious, amazing breakfast buffet with very high quality items and the restaurant food was succulent. Also. When staying at Songtsam, make sure to have a massage at their spa. The Spa lady Tenzin phuti is so knowledgeable and will give you a massage like you never had before. A must do at the hotel. Big thank you to Sonam, English speaking lady who took good care of me and her English was brilliant. Overall, Songtsam is an amazing hotel and you won’t regret staying there!"

Compared with Bomi Songtsan, Laigu Songtsan is smaller in both size and room size, but the scenery is no less impressive and it is still the site chosen by the gods. The hotel is located in the Laigu Glacier Scenic Area, at an altitude of 4,200 meters. It is embedded in the cliff, facing the glacier, and surrounded by the snow mountain lake. You can overlook the Yalong Glacier from the room! Customer service will give you brand new cloth shoes as soon as you enter the door, and also provide free shoe cleaning services. The hotel is located in the scenic area, and you get free tickets when you check in, and you can drive to the glacier entrance by yourself, which is very convenient. The guest rooms are equipped with diffused oxygen supply, floor heating, and humidifiers, and the bedding is comfortable. Considering the safety of oxygen supply, the room is also designed with a small smoking room, which is full of details.

On my一路318 self-drive trip, I stayed at all Songtsam's Tibet properties, and the scenery at Basongcuo is indeed stunning. You can see snow-capped mountains from the room, and the hotel's hardware configuration is top-notch within the Linka series. The butler service was also excellent. However, the staff at the scenic area entrance were truly awful. At Nanga Bawa Mountain Retreat and Lhagu, you just need to register to enter the scenic area. But at Basongcuo, even as a guest, you still need a ticket. That's fine, but first, they made us park aside to buy tickets and register. Then, as soon as we finished, a car with local plates immediately blocked the entrance, preventing us from entering. When we tried to communicate and ask what was going on, the security staff actually started yelling at us. For a national five-star scenic area, this is completely unacceptable. I suggest the hotel follow the example of the other two Songtsam properties and incorporate the ticket fee into the room rate for direct entry, to avoid such situations, or have a hotel staff member at the scenic area entrance to welcome and guide guests.

What an amazing hotel, the rooms are immaculate and mine had a view of Potalo palace. The food is delicious, amazing breakfast buffet with very high quality items and the restaurant food was succulent. Also. When staying at Songtsam, make sure to have a massage at their spa. The Spa lady Tenzin phuti is so knowledgeable and will give you a massage like you never had before. A must do at the hotel. Big thank you to Sonam, English speaking lady who took good care of me and her English was brilliant. Overall, Songtsam is an amazing hotel and you won’t regret staying there!

The architecture beautifully blends ******* style with modern interiors, featuring wooden furniture and traditional ******* rugs and tapestries that truly stand out. The room was spacious and clean, and the underfloor heating was already on, providing a cozy warmth in the high-altitude winter. The front desk staff patiently explained the local attractions, and the breakfast was both plentiful and exquisite, with the option to have it delivered straight to the room. Even more surprising was the free ******* clothing experience and the oxygen concentrator in the room, which completely alleviated any worries about altitude sickness. This thoughtful combination of comfort and local experience truly made our stay exceptional.

The service was professional and very supportive. We were greeted with a Hada upon entering, which was a lovely touch reflecting the hotel's local character, and the Hada itself was of good quality. The ******* ladies were beautiful, warm, and provided excellent service, while the young men were very helpful. Breakfast was also great; even as vegetarians, we found suitable options. Overall, our stay here was excellent. We are very grateful and wish the hotel continued success in its business.
