Rave reviews for Wanda Vista Hohhot! The hotel's overall ambiance is elegant and high-end, with a spacious and airy layout, and exquisite, tasteful decor. The public areas are clean, tidy, quiet, and peaceful. The service is exemplary; the staff are enthusiastic, professional, attentive, and thoughtful, always providing service with a smile. Check-in and check-out are efficient and convenient, and all requests are promptly addressed. The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable, spotlessly clean and clutter-free, with soft and cozy bedding, and sparkling clean and dry bathrooms, all equipped with high-quality amenities. It's conveniently located and a joy to stay in. With top-notch environment and service, the overall experience is absolutely superb. I will definitely be staying here again and again!

From the moment we arrived, our stay was truly exceptional. What stood out immediately was the staff—every single person we encountered, from the front desk team to the housekeeping crew, was genuinely friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
The breakfast was, without a doubt, a major highlight. It was far beyond typical hotel fare—everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and incredibly tasty. They offered a wide variety of options, including fresh fruit, inner Mongolian buuz, Mongolian milk tea and made-to-order hot dishes. It was the perfect, delicious start to every morning. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable, ensuring we had a peaceful night's sleep. This hotel offers amazing value and service, and we can't wait to return!

I stayed for four nights and experienced both the Family Room with twin beds and a view, and the Tent-themed Family Room. While both had the same square footage, the Family Room felt a bit cramped in its layout. The twin room was the most comfortable, with a great view of the bridge and the Yimin River, absolutely stunning after the snow. The Tent-themed Family Room had a slide, which kept the kids entertained in the room.
The service was outstanding, truly exceptional. One thing I particularly want to commend is the hotel's TV setup. You can directly log into iQIYI and Aurora Cloud TV, unlike some hotels where you only get Aurora TV for a fee, and even screen mirroring costs money, or there's nothing good to watch. They even provided extra small chairs for the beds, which was a nice touch. Originally, for two nights of our trip, we had planned to try a different hotel and booked at Hanting, but we ended up canceling that and staying at Arivon Manor again.

Shangri-La Hotel Hohhot | A Fantastic Stay for Families during May Day Holiday
This was my first time staying at a Shangri-La, and compared to my previous experience at Hyatt Regency Jinan, the Shangri-La Hohhot really surprised me in a good way.
**Location & Surroundings**
The hotel is conveniently located between two subway stations, Daxue Xilu and Zhongshan Lu, making getting around super easy. Zhongshan Lu station exits directly into the Mo'er Underground Shopping Street, and there's a delicious bakery right outside the exit. Daxue Xilu is next to Wuxiang City. Across from the hotel, there are two local eateries, 'Chuanshuo Bingzhu Yang' (Legendary Ice-Boiled Lamb) and 'Tiemao Kaorou' (Iron Hat BBQ), which feel authentic and not overly commercialized. Besides a roughly 40-yuan taxi ride to Chilechuan, most other attractions were only about ten yuan away.
**Room**
The room wasn't huge, but it was very well-designed. The space between the bed and the TV was wide enough, so no tripping hazards. The 1.98m king-size bed was incredibly comfortable. The air conditioning was the best part – much better than the Hyatt's, with fresh, circulating air that wasn't stuffy. The floor-to-ceiling window offered an amazing view. From the 16th floor, I could see the stadium, and Hohhot people are clearly very active – there were people running and playing football morning and evening. Further ahead was a park with people boating and even a Ferris wheel that lit up at night. In the distance, we could also see the illuminated Bao'erhan Pagoda. The windowsill was wide enough to sit on, and there were two additional sofas, making it a perfect spot for having tea, dining, and enjoying the scenery.
**Pool & Gym**
I really liked that the changing rooms had a dry sauna. There was also a hot tub with water hot enough. The pool was divided into a kids' pool and an adult pool, both quite spacious. My husband said the gym was also good – not too crowded and peaceful. My daughter, who usually prefers to play on her phone in the room, actually joined me for sauna, hot tub, and swimming this time. She even wrote 'Very good hotel' with a smiley face on a comment card, showing she genuinely enjoyed it.
**Service**
From the moment we got out of the taxi and staff helped with our luggage to checking in at the front desk, everyone was incredibly proactive and enthusiastic. The lobby had a subtle, pleasant soap scent. The hotel also featured two decorative yurt-like setups, which were fun for photos.
**Robot Food Delivery**
This deserves special praise. We order takeout frequently, and the robot could deliver from both its upper and lower compartments. It would call our room when it arrived, and we just had to open the door to pick up our food. Only once was the robot too busy, and the concierge delivered directly to our room. We never experienced takeout being carelessly left in the lobby, unlike at the Beijing Noulan Hotel where we stayed before. The streamlined service at a big hotel like this really gives you peace of mind.
**Minor Regret**
The only downside was that when I wanted to take a bath around 10 PM, the hot water wasn't very hot, even at its maximum. It seems like the central water supply might get overloaded during peak usage hours.
**Value for Money**
We booked this during the May Day holiday for less than 500 yuan a night, a price you couldn't even dream of in Beijing. On our last day, we stayed in the pool until 2 PM before reluctantly checking out.
**Overall:** Great views, excellent service, reliable robot food delivery, and the kids loved it. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! The decor feels like the best you can find in Erdos. The service and amenities are also excellent. It's really close to the musical fountain square, so if there's an event, you can just walk a short distance and avoid the crowds. Plus, the full smart home system is amazing – perfect for people like us who love to relax in the hotel. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit~

The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and processed our check-in quickly. They also provided a detailed explanation of the hotel's facilities and services, which was a very thoughtful touch. They always greeted guests with a smile, creating a really warm atmosphere. Room service was prompt; whether we needed fresh towels or other items, they were delivered to our room very quickly. The staff provided attentive service, from the concierge to the housekeeping aunties, everyone had a smile on their face, making us feel right at home. The staff were very professional and resolved any issues quickly, which I was very satisfied with. The breakfast selection was also very extensive, and there was a free car park, making our stay very pleasant and comfortable!

The room was spacious and the kids loved it, but the front desk service was really subpar. When I asked questions, they answered impatiently and seemed to look down on me, lacking any service enthusiasm. On the other hand, the ticketing service was quite good; they actively verified information, offered service, and even proactively introduced photo services for activities. Housekeeping was also excellent and generally met all our requests. The worst part was the breakfast. For a five-star hotel, eating at communal round tables with strangers, and with no one clearing plates promptly after guests left, was appalling. Half the table would be covered in dirty, leftover dishes, while the other half was the spot we finally managed to find. The food standard was very poor, not even reaching five-star quality; I'd say it wasn't even three-star. Food items weren't refilled in a timely manner, so we had to wait for almost every dish. In the end, we spent about an hour at breakfast, and I left still hungry, just walking away out of frustration because we waited for about 50 minutes.

We had to change rooms because we found an insect. To make matters worse, while getting settled, I accidentally scalded my arm with hot water while preparing tea. A staff member kindly provided some ointment, but it was still quite painful.
The new room, unfortunately, was on an upper floor facing the main road and lacked proper soundproofing. We could hear traffic noise throughout the night, which is far from ideal for light sleepers or elderly guests sensitive to noise.
Adding to our troubles, the strip lights in the room couldn't be turned off. It was too bright to sleep, and despite not wanting to bother anyone late at night, I had to call an engineer again to fix it. We were told the ballast was broken. It was just one thing after another!
As a gesture, they waived the charges for our drinks and water, amounting to over 40 yuan. Honestly, I wasn't looking for compensation; I just felt completely worn out, physically and mentally, after the injury and all the accumulated hassles.
This was our experience. To be fair, despite these specific issues, our overall stay wasn't entirely bad. Bugs can appear anywhere, and thorough pest control might prevent them. However, lights shouldn't be faulty, especially in a hotel. Perhaps this Wanda property is getting a bit old.
(The attached photo was taken on the third day. I hadn't initially planned on writing a review, which is why I didn't take pictures of the issues as they occurred.)

Let's start with the positives: The overall service, from the front desk staff to the cleaning aunties, was quite good. The location is also excellent, making it convenient to get everywhere. The room was spacious, and it even had a bathtub.
Now for the negatives: There was only one duvet per room, with no extras, just a blanket. This isn't a huge issue, but the next morning, I woke up with fresh red bites all over my body and arms. I just wanted to report this to the hotel, but then 2-3 people came up, supposedly to solve the problem, and immediately asked, ”Did you go to the grasslands? These must be mosquito bites. Our duvets are disinfected, so there shouldn't be any problem.” I was speechless. First, we had just arrived in Hailar and hadn't even been to the grasslands yet. Second, if the bites were above my waist, would mosquitoes really bite me while I was under the covers? Do you change the duvet inserts for every guest? They wouldn't admit there was a problem and instead tried to push the blame onto the customer. It would have been better if they hadn't sent anyone at all. We didn't make any further demands; we just checked out and left.

TTianhenlan@The hotel offers a quiet oasis amidst the bustling city, with convenient transportation and a variety of restaurants right outside. The hotel's dining hall is also quite good; the roasted lamb chops and West Lake beef soup are worth trying. The breakfast is plentiful, and the homemade yogurt is a must-try.

YYaoxiaoyiThe hotel breakfast was fantastic, offering a rich spread including Mongolian milk tea, yogurt, lamb offal soup, and various dairy products. AAnonymous UserI'd recommend the Lotus Hotel to all my friends! If you're coming to Xiangshawan, you absolutely have to stay at the Lotus – it offers guests an incredible surprise!
Navigate to the Hualian Resort Reception Center, where the service is incredibly thoughtful. They'll even transport your luggage directly to the hotel, so you can head straight to the island to enjoy yourself.
The hotel facilities are also excellent. You absolutely must attend the bonfire party in the evening, complete with fireworks and stargazing. The buffet hotpot is also a great option! Outside the lobby, there's a pool with sun loungers, giving it a real resort vibe.
It's worth mentioning that the hotel has a mini-train specifically for taking guests to designated spots – it's a super novel and fun experience!
We chose an exterior-view room, which I highly recommend. It has a large balcony where you can gaze at the desert. In the morning, it feels like you're waking up right in the desert.
What truly elevated our travel experience the most was the express pass. It felt completely worth the hotel fee, as we were able to enjoy Xian Island without any queues during the May Day holiday. It truly maximized our emotional value!
I love the Lotus Hotel! Many thanks to all the staff and performers for providing such wonderful service!

It's really close to Dazhao Temple and Wanda Plaza. MMiso misoI've stayed here multiple times because the rooms offer views of the racecourse, it's walking distance to my relatives' place, parking is convenient, and it's easy to get a taxi anywhere in Hohhot. There are plenty of great food options nearby, like the xiaomai restaurant by the west gate of Huhejiadi, the 'beizi' shop outside the south gate of the People's Air Defense Office family compound, and the main branches of Mongolian Grand Camp and Xibei Sports Center – all familiar and delicious spots. This is the only five-star hotel near the racecourse. The rooms are spacious enough and cleanliness is good. The facilities definitely need an update, but the service responsiveness is excellent. I'll be back again.

GGuest UserFirst impression of the hotel was good. We stayed at 25th floor, So that the room is bigger than others.
The reason we choose this hotel because It has a swimming pool. So, after checking in, I went to check the pool. I was shocked to see so many people there. It turned out there was a swimming lesson with 6 instructors and twenty something students. The lesson is running from 9am to 8.30pm. ( pool is closed at 9.30 and only 4 line.) I was very disappointed, therefore I called the duty manager and told him the issue. Soon after, the front seat manager Mr Li came to my room with apologetic attitude. Even though he couldn't resolved the issue, we felt that it was out of his hand. Food at fifth floor was so so. Breakfast has a lot of room to improve. If you want to relax in the pool. Don't go there. Otherwise it is a good choice to have a peaceful sleep.
