2-Star Hotels in Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea

First of all, there is a supermarket near the dormitory. It's very good to have a beer after dinner. The staff upgraded the room for free when they checked in. It's originally a double bed. There are two king size beds. I entered a spacious room. The view was a nursing hospital view, but it was Netflix Du and there were all kinds of amenities, so it was enough to come to the body. A hostel without real disadvantages! I thought it would be easy to find this quality accommodation again at 50,000 won line.

Casa Mini Hotel is a small, compact guesthouse. A short walk from the express bus stop station and in direct line with the Royal Tombs which can be reached in less than a 10-minute walk. The double room, which was occupied by me only, was extremely tiny and sparse in furnishing: a bed which measured by far less than a queen-sized, a bed side table, a minifridge, a lined up desk, a TV set, and a stool. Even the bathroom was small. Irrespective my room was on the fourth floor there was no view except for an ambiguous massage and spa motel opposite. When I arrived at the reception there was no one. The staff is on duty and site for a couple of hours from 4pm onwards, when check-in begins. Then no one again until the next morning, just in time for breakfast. And yes, the breakfast, an embarrassing service: orange juice, milk, sliced bread, strawberry jam, butter, sliced tomato and chopped bananas Period. Nothing else. And at the end of breakfast you are also invited to clean up the table and wash the used dishes. An ”attention” which surely makes Casa Mini a student hostel more than a hotel. Important warning: there is no lift. Those they need to get to the fourth floor can only use a goods lift to bring suitcases up and down the stairs. However the lift remains stuck more than once so that it results in another ridiculous, useless service. If the price is less than 25 euros or Koreani Won equivalent that might be fine. Otherwise, just opt for something else.

I don't expect to catch a hostel cheaply, but if you think about the price, the old facilities are fine, but it's really old. But clean and clean Korean Tourism Corporation Goodstay chain or clean and cheap motel atmosphere, and the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is toast, jam, and orange juice/coffee/tea. The rooms are clean and there is a nice shower. The sleeping pads are thin so not so comfortable for me and my wife. We slept on two pads and it was okay. But, I liked the peaceful atmosphere and the quiet rest. The kids liked the sleeping pads. Also, nice fluffy comforters and a good air-conditioning unit. Should you stay here? Yes, it is close to the sights and has a quiet atmosphere. Yoo Sook checked us in and was kind. It was self checkout when we left. This hanok is one block from a major street, so easy to find and very convenient. Taxi to train station is 15850. Taxi to Woljeonggyo Bridge or Cheomseongdae observatory is 3500.

The Sugar Hotel has always been a hotel with potential. Close to shops, sights and bus terminals it offers a great stay for travellers. The rooms are immaculate and maintained daily. The facilities are spacious and offer free wifi, daily water and drinks in the fridge and easy to understand instructions for appliances in English. For travellers staying two nights or more a washing machine / dryer is available. Breakfast is free each morning, served by the owner (who also speaks English). Comfortable bed(s), spa, rain-head shower and bidet toilet all add for a very pleasant experience. The owners are lovely people too!

I came to Gyeongju alone and found it on the same day, but I was satisfied with the service, room, facilities, and price. It's the second trip to Gyeongju, but it's near Gyeongju City, so it's close to Bomun Park and Sundoubu Village. The Bomun Lake was nice to walk and it was pretty and nice to Elouka.

The hotel was incredible. We thought the room was perfect, the breakfast was lovely and the location was great. We had no issues finding the place, there are some small stairs in the beginning but we luckily got a room on the first floor. The room was so nice, the bed was so comfortable and the room was so nice and cozy. The staff was so polite and helpful, they also were nice enough to claim our baggage on the day of our check out.

This hotel is a real find. It is centred on the main seaside street overlooking the POSCO steel works. Make sure you get a sea view room so that you can watch the 8pm spectacular light festival that lights up the steelworks. The people who manage the hotel could not be any more helpful. Indeed the manager walked us down the street to a noodle bar and ordered food for us as we don’t speak Korean as he wanted to ensure that we had a decent evening meal. There is 24 hour, coffee, toast, water and yoghurts available in the foyer. Rooms are nicely decorated and the more expensive rooms have a massage chair.

There was only 1 chair in a family room, which makes it hard for us to sit. The only place to sit was the bed and the dress table. There’s also 2 bath towels only, it would be nice if they check the amount of pax first, and gave according to the number of people. Other than that I was satisfied. location was just right in front of the beach which has many restaurants and cafes in just 20-30 min walk.

It was my second trip to Andong with a friend in more than 10 years, and the Chiamgotok hostel was really a god. Last time I stayed in Hahoe Village, Andong, and it was a pity that it took too long to move. Chiamgotak is close to Andong Station/Market (taxi ride 5-10 minutes), and the atmosphere was so good. Especially if you stay in the Hodo Jae Room, you can use the table space on the floor, and it was so nice to be able to talk and talk overlooking the party and the yard. The room size was small but not very inconvenient because it was a home, the toilet seemed to use the other room in the public toilet, but the hodojae room is separately inside the room. Of course the size is very small. It may be a bit uncomfortable to stay for a long time, but I would definitely recommend staying for a day if you have time.
