"This stay truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the concierge immediately came over to help with our luggage. Check-in at the front desk was super fast, and the staff were incredibly enthusiastic. They even thoughtfully gave us tips for exploring the area and upgraded us to a higher floor room for free! The room was spotlessly clean with no strange smells, and the bedding was fluffy and soft. All the bathroom facilities were brand new. The public areas were also consistently maintained by staff, making the whole place feel very pleasant to walk around. During our stay, any request to the front desk was met with a super quick response. There were absolutely no unpleasant surprises, and the value for money was outstanding. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit this area, and I've already recommended it to friends who are planning a trip here."

The hotel’s gym and swimming facilities are well maintained, as well as room size and amenities. Highly recommended this hotel. The room is spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Mr Huang also helped me find my sun glasses that was dropped during the move to another room."

"The room was spacious, and the facilities and breakfast were excellent, truly reflecting a high-end hotel. We were upgraded to an executive room with a view of the Hun River. The location is also very convenient, with Metro Line 2 right downstairs providing direct access to the airport and North Station. However, there are some clear drawbacks. For the second most expensive hotel in Shenyang, the minibar was completely empty, and even the executive room didn't have a coffee capsule machine. The air conditioning required a call to engineering to be turned on individually. Breakfast offered many Northeastern specialties, but the 'Big White Pear' soda, which costs 4 yuan a bottle at convenience stores, was locked away during breakfast, and we were told it wasn't available."

For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. When it comes to Shenyang hotels, the Conrad Shenyang is highly regarded for its excellent facilities.

"This was my first time in Shenyang, and for an important anniversary, I chose the Conrad as our base for a three-day, two-night stay. Here’s an objective review based on my actual experience: **Location:** The hotel is very close to both Beizhan (North Station) and Shenyang Station, about a ten-minute taxi ride. If you take the subway, it’s just one transfer, and you can reach Exit A of Renmin Square Station on Line 2 (which is the entrance to MixC Hang Lung Plaza) in about 30 minutes. From the first floor of Hang Lung Plaza, there's a glass automatic door that connects directly to the hotel's first floor. Regarding Hang Lung Plaza, I won't comment on the shopping as I didn't explore it much. However, it’s very convenient to take the escalator down to the basement for a meal, grab some snacks at the supermarket/convenience store, play Taiko or Maimai at the arcade on the basement level, or sing karaoke at Mei KTV on the third floor accessible by a scenic elevator. This definitely adds to the convenience of staying at the Conrad. **Service:** * **Pre-Stay Service:** I didn't receive any pre-arrival calls or contact, which is usually standard for five-star hotels. It made me think, 'Hmm?' a little, but it wasn't a major issue. During check-in, the front desk informed me that our room was still being prepared but offered a complimentary upgrade to a smoking room so we wouldn't have to wait. I accepted the kind offer and was relieved that the smoke smell in the room wasn't very noticeable. * **During-Stay Service:** On the first night, I wanted to take a bath, but the bathtub took nearly two hours to fill, only reaching the depth shown in the photo. After half an hour, I thought it was just because the tub was large and filling slowly, but when it was still the same after more than an hour, I suspected the drain wasn't sealing properly. However, it was quite late, and I didn't want to bother the hotel staff with repairs at that hour, especially since we’d already received an upgrade. It felt like that 'don't ask for a bicycle when you've been given a watch' kind of awkwardness. So, the next morning, I called housekeeping to ask if someone could check it while we were out in the afternoon. When we returned the next evening, the first thing I did was fill the tub, and seeing the water successfully rise made me so happy! I could finally take a bath! I'm grateful to the staff for solving the problem on time. Later that night, we went to the executive lounge on the 83rd floor for the evening light meal. The food was excellent, and they were proactive in asking about our needs. Special thanks to Cloris, Luna, and Rachel for their warm service. **Facilities:** As mentioned above, the room was generally in good condition. There were a few areas that showed some wear or minor human-made stains, but nothing major. Honestly, you don't really use or even touch every single part of a suite; it's always just a few key areas. The bathtub issue might have been a 'historical problem' left by a previous guest, but at least I got it resolved. This does, however, suggest that there's room for improvement in terms of facility maintenance and even upgrades. **Dining:** The executive lounge's food has already been mentioned, so I won't repeat it. For breakfast, I went at 8 AM and 9 AM on the two different days. As expected, it was less crowded earlier. You swipe your room card, then an attendant guides you to an empty table and asks if you'd like coffee or tea. Overall, breakfast was quite good, offering most of the varieties you'd expect from a typical five-star hotel. **Final Thoughts:** One minor point of annoyance was the hotel's elevators. Many guests have mentioned the hassle of having to transfer elevators on the 88th floor to get from the hotel entrance to their room. Personally, I think the waiting time for the elevators is more frustrating than the transfer itself. From the 88th-floor lobby to the rooms on lower floors, there are four elevators. Without judging whether that's too many or too few, objectively speaking, every time I waited for an elevator from my room floor to the 88th floor, or from the 88th to my room, it always took over a minute. There was never a time when an elevator arrived within thirty or forty-five seconds of pressing the button. And often, when the elevator did arrive, it was empty. Perhaps it was because I stayed on a weekend and the hotel had an event? The above only represents my personal experience during this stay."

If cleanliness is important to you, this hotel makes an excellent choice, as our guests consider this to be one of the cleanest hotels in the city. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.

"Traveling with kids, an apartment-style hotel is incredibly convenient. We could store bread, fruit, and milk bought the day before in the fridge and easily heat them up in the microwave in the morning. While I wasn't entirely sure about the cleanliness of the washing machine, it was still handy for washing adult clothes and then sanitizing them with high heat. After a long day of walking, it was amazing to grab a bath bomb from Miniso downstairs and enjoy a relaxing soak. The hotel has direct access to the mall on the 4th floor, making dining and shopping super easy. The mall is right above the metro station (Convention & Exhibition Center Station) and also has a bus stop, so you can pretty much get to all the main attractions. It's not the newest place, but it was generally clean."

The Castle Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Dalian will find that the Castle Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel is a fantastic accommodation choice. The hotel is conveniently located just 6km from Shahekou Railway Station and 13km from Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Xinghai Square, Binhai Road West Section Cliff Walk and Xinghai Bay Beach all nearby. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. This Dalian hotel provides parking on site. Guests tell us the location of this hotel is fantastic. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"Staying at The Castle Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Dalian, truly felt like stepping into a fairytale. Here's my honest review: **About the Butler Service:** Absolutely top-notch! Even before arrival, I received a call from my butler, who thoughtfully inquired about my arrival time and check-in preferences. From helping with luggage upon entry to the welcome fruit and detailed room orientation after checking in, every single detail was impeccable. When I tentatively asked for a late checkout, the butler immediately and generously extended it until 2 PM. This level of meticulous care truly made me feel pampered. **About the Hotel Scenery:** Perched on a hillside, the hotel's exterior resembles Germany's Neuschwanstein Castle, exuding a full European luxury vibe. The lobby boasts an 18-meter high domed ceiling, a crystal spiral staircase, and colorful domes – every snap looks like a movie scene. The most stunning feature is the 5th-floor sky garden, offering an unobstructed 270° panoramic view of Xinghai Bay and the cross-sea bridge – the vista is unbeatable. Staying in a high-floor sea view room, I could gaze at the Xinghai Bay Bridge right from my bed; both sunrise and sunset were absolutely breathtaking. **About the Unexpected Deer Encounter:** This was a truly delightful surprise! The hotel is built on the hillside of Lianhua Mountain, where sika deer often roam among the trees. While strolling along the winding mountain path, we encountered several of them, and my child was overjoyed. This experience of meeting wild deer within a city castle was simply magical. In conclusion, this stay was absolutely perfect. The service was thoughtful, the scenery was stunning, and we even got to encounter sika deer. I highly recommend it to everyone!"

JJoshuaLThe (apart)hotel is located steps away from the seaside and 东方水城 with plenty of eateries (but definitely less than what you get if staying at 中山广场 for example - we purposely chose to be close to the seaside here). The staff from bellboy to front desk/ cleaning staff is also eager to please with smiles all around, definitely pleasant interactions. On the downside, there was a heavy smoke smell at the hallway leading to our unit, and upon confirmation with the staff working at the floor during the time, turns out that the person living next door is smoking 🥲 this smell did creep into our unit over time, which led me to request air purifier and open the windows to improve circulation. Also I need to turn *off* ventilation at the bathroom to prevent smoke smell. Luckily, the situation improved during our stay (so I decided against requesting to change units) since the occurrence of smoke smell became less (perhaps the resident checked out/ decided to smoke less?). Anyhow, this did damper our experience. Also to note a service suggestion due to the smell I immediately requested a purifier unit, didn’t realize that there’s already one sitting in the unit. I also requested detergent since washing machine is available in the unit, didn’t realize that it’s readily available inside the bathroom. While the receptionist happily agreed to my request when I called to request the items (upon checking into my room), they could have also just informed me where they are located to avoid the redundant request. Also, perhaps the detergent should be placed visibly/ closer to the washing unit instead of being together with toothbrush etc inside the drawer in the bathroom - just a suggestion. Breakfast offerings while great is also nothing to wow about (one of our main considerations for hotel selection is to look at breakfast pricing listed, which is 198 RMB in this case, which is on the higher end, so we were expecting some kind of a wow factor). Yes, the restaurant is located on the 67th floor offering nice view, but the spread is nothing to rave about - it’s your typical above average breakfast spread with additionally a little seafood selection. During our stay I did come across an offer to purchase breakfast for 108 RMB in one of the platforms, and I think the value is much closer to this rather than 198, so something worth calling out. So all in all, good hotel with great location/ views/ staff - calling out the smoking issue (more of a people problem rather than hotel’s, but I would wish/ expect that indoor smoking should be non existent for 5-star establishments, which isn’t the case here), and secondarily the breakfast value. The shower issue (lower pressure/ time to heat) from other reviews is also real, but not a big deal for us.

MMomodou89While the facilities are decent, the soft services are severely lacking, and the room service response time is frustratingly slow. My recent stay at the Cosco Intercontinental Hotel was incredibly disappointing and definitely didn't live up to the pricing or reputation of an international five-star brand. The most unbearable part was when my child had a fever, and I called guest services to ask for a thermometer. They told me they didn't have one and instructed me to call the front desk. The front desk then replied, 'Guest services will send one up to you shortly.' So, do they have one or not? Of course, I returned it to the front desk the next day and immediately went to a pharmacy to buy my own. When a guest requests assistance, especially with a child suddenly falling ill, shouldn't there be a clear response protocol? Zero points for that. On a positive note, Mr. Eric Sun Yong, who works at the entrance, was very enthusiastic and helped guests with their luggage. Also, the lounge staff brought rice for my child two days in a row, which showed an effort to make guests' stay enjoyable.

GGuest UserFirst, let's talk about transportation. You can take a taxi or drive there. It's about a 40-minute taxi ride from the city center. If you drive, hotel guests get free parking, which you can arrange at the front desk. Next, the environment. The environment is lovely. The entire resort is well laid out, with lush greenery, and I even saw many white doves. From the main lobby, if you're heading to the Breeze Restaurant (where the breakfast buffet is served), there's a complimentary shuttle cart available (takes about 3-5 minutes). Of course, taking a stroll through the villa area is also a great option. Now, about the service. The service was excellent. The taxi drop-off point is at the main entrance of the hot spring area, and you'll need to walk (about 3 minutes) to the main lobby to check in. The check-in process was very fast; I checked in around 2 PM and could go straight to my room. Upon check-in, you're assigned a butler who will add you on WeChat and send useful information about the resort, such as Wi-Fi details, hot spring hours, and breakfast buffet times. The butler also helps escort you to your room and carries your luggage, and even gave me a voucher for a fish spa treatment at the hot springs (one voucher is good for two people, usually costing 30 per person). Finally, some other points. 1. The hotel has two accommodation areas. One is on the 5th floor of the hot spring building. The advantage here is that it's very close to the hot springs, and you don't need to go outside. If your window faces the villa area, you get a panoramic view of the villas, with great greenery and views, and the price is more affordable. The other area is the villa section, which is closer to the breakfast buffet and offers rooms with private hot spring pools. 2. The breakfast buffet at Breeze Restaurant is from 7 AM to 10:30 AM (no food replenished after 10 AM). The breakfast selection is very rich, with a variety of Chinese, Cantonese, and Western options, and the taste is also good. 3. Guests staying at the hotel receive two hot spring tickets per room, for two separate visits. The first visit can be used on the day of check-in until 12 AM. The second visit is if you check out before 10 AM the next day, you can use the tickets until 6 PM. The tickets are linked to the ID cards used for check-in, so anyone planning to go to the hot springs needs to register their ID at check-in. A 500 deposit is required at check-in. Any consumption in the hot spring area can be charged to this deposit, or paid separately. The deposit refund upon checkout was very quick. 4. I booked a room on the 5th floor of the hot spring building. The room provides plastic slippers for the hot spring (anti-slip); there are no other disposable slippers. The wet and dry areas are separate, and disposable toilet seat covers and toiletries are provided. Although it's in the hot spring building, I didn't find it noisy at all.

GGuest UserThe Le Méridien Shenyang is indeed excellent. Starting with the ambiance, you're greeted with an artistic vibe right from the entrance. While the lobby isn't a massive, high-ceilinged space, it exudes a sense of luxury and art everywhere you look. As a member, I received a complimentary suite upgrade, which was a very kind gesture. The room was clean, tidy, and very spacious, and all other member benefits were perfectly delivered. Thumbs up! The breakfast selection wasn't as extensive as I'd imagined, possibly because I went a bit late, but several dishes were genuinely delicious. In terms of value for money, it's also the best among the Marriott properties in Shenyang. Finally, I must extend a huge thank you to the attendant who cleaned room 1102 that day. They meticulously found my necklace that had fallen on the floor. Additionally, the front desk and concierge staff helped me mail it back incredibly quickly. This truly demonstrates the excellent service attitude of your hotel staff towards guests and the effective training the hotel provides its employees. Absolutely fantastic!

GGuest UserTraveling during off-peak season, this hotel offers incredible value for money. The location is fantastic, making it super convenient for kids to go crabbing. The service is also excellent; it's so much better than the unhelpful one next door! A big thank you to 'Eason' (Chen Yixun) who brought us plenty of water when he saw we had a large group – it felt great to have all our requests met. There was also a very handsome manager who gave the kids fun toys. Overall, it provided a wonderful vacation experience. The hamburger and fish and chips were also great and very popular with the children. On the first floor, there's even a DJI drone available for a test flight, which the kids loved. The only downside is that because it's so close to the sea, the bedding can be a bit damp. If you're traveling with small children, you might want to bring your own sheets.

GGuest UserStaying at The Castle Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Dalian, truly felt like stepping into a fairytale. I highly recommend it to everyone!

GGuest UserMy overall stay at Shangri-La Hotel Dalian was excellent. I was very satisfied with the room I was assigned; it was spacious and bright, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The bedding was neatly arranged, making for a very comfortable stay and a great night's sleep. The hotel's location is also fantastic, making it easy to get anywhere by taxi, and Zhongshan Square is within walking distance for photos. Public transportation is very convenient as well. The hotel offers a well-equipped gym and swimming pool, along with a beautiful garden perfect for a stroll and pictures. All the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Delancy was particularly thoughtful, asking about my stay during check-out and giving me a small gift, which I loved. The check-out process was very quick, saving me a lot of time. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe hygiene was good. However, the service and facilities were quite disappointing. First, the facilities aren't just old; the air conditioning wasn't cooling the room at all, making it too hot. Plus, the AC was incredibly noisy. Even the closet light made a loud buzzing sound. This is the first time I've encountered a hotel like this. After the first day's cleaning, the water and tea bags weren't replenished, but they were brought to my room after I called and asked for them.
