Choosing this Bund hotel was the best decision I made on my trip to Shanghai. Its location is absolutely prime, right near the Bund. It's a mere 15-minute walk to the Bund, and as soon as you open the curtains, you're greeted by stunning views of the Huangpu River and the Oriental Pearl Tower, especially beautiful at night.
The hotel lobby boasts exquisite decor, and the guest rooms are spacious and airy. There's even a bathtub, and it's so relaxing to sit by the window and take in the Oriental Pearl Tower's night view.
The service was simply impeccable! From the moment I stepped out of the car, the concierge proactively helped with my luggage. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful, and the concierge even assisted with bringing my luggage to the room, patiently explaining hotel facilities and nearby attractions. The entire team was professional and thoughtful, never overly enthusiastic but certainly not perfunctory. The hotel staff, especially one person, helped me a lot, solving every issue I had. My stay was truly excellent. On departure, they even granted a late check-out and brought my luggage from the room directly to my car. Their service, from arrival to departure, was flawless, and any issues were promptly addressed. Fantastic! Fantastic! Fantastic!
The hotel's transportation links are also super convenient. It's within walking distance to the metro station, making it easy to get to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and Yu Garden. There's also a宁波 Road nearby, and the hotel staff recommended some fantastic restaurants there. Whether it's the facilities, service, or views, this hotel truly sets the standard for Bund hotels. It's already on my must-stay list for my next Shanghai visit. Even though I rarely leave reviews, I really felt compelled to share my experience. My only minor suggestion would be to perhaps enhance the breakfast offerings. Friends visiting Shanghai, I highly recommend experiencing the service and rooms at this hotel!

This stay far exceeded expectations and must give it a full review! It is very close to the Bund, with a prime location and convenient transportation. The surrounding facilities are complete, making travel, shopping, and dining very convenient, making it ideal for both business trips and vacations. The check-in procedures are efficient and fast. The front desk staff are warm and friendly, patiently answering various questions and proactively providing thoughtful service, instantly bringing a sense of warmth.
The room is clean and tidy, with a rational layout. The space is spacious and bright, and it is well-ventilated and well-lit, with no unpleasant odors whatsoever. The bedding is soft and comfortable, with a mattress of moderate hardness, ensuring a good night's sleep until dawn. The toiletries are complete and of superior quality, and the bathroom features a scientifically designed separation of dry and wet areas, ensuring thorough cleaning without stains. The room is well-equipped and brand-new. The air conditioning provides excellent heating and cooling performance, has a full network signal, abundant TV programs, and a stable and sufficient hot water supply. Every detail demonstrates thoughtful attention.
The hotel offers a quiet and elegant environment, with clean and orderly public areas. The decoration style is minimalist and elegant, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options, combining Chinese and Western elements. The ingredients are fresh and high-quality, delicious, and can meet diverse taste preferences, thus starting a vibrant and energetic day. If you have any needs during this period, contact customer service will be able to respond quickly and properly resolve them. The service is professional and considerate, providing a comprehensive and immersive experience throughout the entire process.

The hotel back door is just right beside Nanjing Pedestrian Street which makes it extremely convenient for shopping, dining & sightseeing.
The Bund is just about 15mins walk from the hotel.
It's an old school hotel! Hence, don't expect the rooms to have a smart technology system. Hopefully, the hotel will upgrade the rooms with smart technology system which is able to make things more convenient.
We have a free upgraded room. The room is very spacious & clean.
The room's heating air conditioner isn't blowing air, so a fan is needed to improve air circulation in the room.
Ms Starry Cui & all hotel staff are very friendly & helpful.

Staying at Bund Hoshino Resorts KAI Yuyuan with my family was an experience that far exceeded our expectations. The hotel's location is superb, just a five-minute walk to the Bund and Yu Garden, which was incredibly convenient.
Ella at the front desk provided exceptionally thoughtful service. Not only did she proactively upgrade our room type, but she also prepared a special children's toiletries set for us. The room design skillfully blends new Chinese aesthetics with comfort, making for a truly pleasant stay.
The 11th-floor terrace offers expansive views of both sides of the Huangpu River, which was stunning. From the smallest details to the overall experience, this place ensured that three generations of our family all found something to enjoy. It's undoubtedly an ideal choice for family trips to Shanghai!

We were upgraded to a river view room for free, and my little one was thrilled to see the Oriental Pearl Tower right from our window! It's a 10-minute walk to the sightseeing boat pier, and there's a shopping mall downstairs with all sorts of dining and shopping options. A special shout-out for the complimentary extra bed for kids – that was a fantastic touch! The experience was superb. There's also a lovely, quiet riverside promenade perfect for a stroll with beautiful scenery.

The hotel service is general thoughtful. We asked for medicated oil as my mum was not feeling well, but there wasn't one available. Instead of just saying no, the customer service offered to send us oil essence that would help to improve headaches and stress. And this really helped my mum to feel and sleep better.
F&B service staff at Elements and Chinese restaurant were attentive and competent. Generally, we did enjoy our stay in this hotel. Pillows are comfortable and housekeeping always did a thorough job everyday. Views from our rooms are nice and we could see the light up at 6pm everyday.
Check-in service could be improved. We had never been kept waiting to check-in before as every hotel we went to made sure the guests don't wait for too long. After waiting in the line for 30mins, I observed that the front desk needs to input alot of information for each guest. Maybe more efficient system and better process flow would help the staff and have less customers complaining. Everyone around was were dismayed by the waiting time. Note that whenever travellers arrive to check in, most are tired and burdened with baggage and want to settle down as soon as possible. Last thing we want is to queue for a long time to check in.
Having mentioned that, I would like to give credit to the front desk staff. Despite the pressure from the sounds of grumpy guests waiting in the line, they still handled each guest professionally and attending to all the enquiries patiently. This is not easy.
Also, your porter service could be improved also. There are more people standing at the concierge counter indoors, and usually only 1 outside. Which is something I don't understand. During our 4-day stay here, no one helped us at all. Even when we checked out, it was our driver who helped us with our bags. The bell boy chose to help another car who was checking in. Usually we tip bell boy but we had no chance to tip at all here.
The corridor to the rooms are mostly carpeted so it is really difficult to drag our luggage. The lifts are spread out along two long rows and I have seen a lady dragging her luggage from one lift to the next lift, and then to the next one cursing because she could not reach each lift in time before the door closed. We felt tired too through our stay here, turning 360 degrees to look out for lift doors opening.
We do recommend the hotel for a guaranteed comfortable stay here as it is near to many major shopping malls and attractions and restaurants.

I stayed at this hotel for three days and wanted to share my brief thoughts. When booking a hotel in Shanghai, I looked at many options and paid close attention to the negative reviews for each, and the Radisson Hotel was no exception. Many of the negative comments mentioned outdated facilities. However, after considering the brand, location, and price, I ultimately chose this hotel, though I was still a bit apprehensive. Upon arrival, I was pleased to find the hotel's location excellent, right at the intersection of Nanjing Road and People's Square, making it convenient to reach various popular attractions. The lobby has a typical luxury hotel style. Every detail in the room also conveyed that, despite its age, the quality is definitely on par with its competitors. The furniture is well-crafted with good materials, and the fixtures and sanitary ware are all from reputable brands. The overall condition is actually better than some newer hotels. Furthermore, the front desk staff upgraded us to a junior suite and provided an extra bed free of charge, adding a special touch to our short vacation.

I chose this Accor Mövenpick (the name is a bit hard to remember!) after comparing several hotels around the Shanghai Grand Theatre, where I was going to see the closing performance of Les Misérables' 40th anniversary. Many details made my stay very satisfying: the luggage service and front desk were both very professional. They offered a complimentary longan and red date tea from the bar, and since I didn't have time to drink it, I asked a staff member to pour it into my thermos and deliver it to my room. The toiletries in the room were Jurlique, everything in the room was very clean, and the drinking water was small bottles of mountain spring water.
The main thing is, I realized I'd forgotten my glasses after I left for the show (which essentially meant losing half the ticket price because everything was blurry). There was no time to go back for them, so I called the front desk and asked housekeeping to find them in my room. At the same time, I ordered a runner service to pick them up from the front desk, and they were delivered to the theater with just minutes to spare. The excellent hotel service combined with the speed of a Chinese delivery rider was incredibly moving – definitely a five-star review! My only regret is not getting to try their supposedly amazing ice cream; I'll have to make up for it next time.

Review: The Langham Shanghai — Still Well-Located, But No Longer the Same
The Langham Shanghai has long been one of my preferred hotels, especially before the pandemic. After many stays, I’ve come to expect a certain standard of hospitality, consistency, and refinement. This recent visit, however, showed a noticeable decline across several areas.
Service
Overall service from the staff was acceptable. Front-line employees remained polite and tried their best. However, the manager on duty—a Caucasian manager—felt out of touch with Asian hospitality norms. His attitude came off as dismissive and rude, which immediately set the wrong tone. The contrast between the staff’s warmth and his behavior was striking.
Breakfast Buffet
The most significant drop was in the breakfast buffet. Quality has slipped in a way that’s hard to ignore: food didn’t taste as fresh, dishes weren’t as well prepared, and the overall selection felt uninspired compared to previous years. At this point, it’s honestly better to go out for breakfast.
Room & Housekeeping
Room cleanliness was fine, but small inconsistencies added up. Turn-down service was missed on some nights. When I requested water refill, the staff who arrived seemed confused about why she had been sent up, leading to an awkward exchange. These are small moments, but in a five-star hotel, they highlight cracks in training and coordination.
Overall Impression
The Langham Shanghai still has one unbeatable strength: location. But nearly everything else has declined—food, consistency, management attitude, and attention to detail. After years of loyalty, I’m now considering switching to a different hotel for future trips. The experience simply didn’t match the standards I’ve known and trusted from The Langham brand.
A disappointing stay from a once-reliable favorite.

MM352091****The hotel is ideally located on the Shanghai Bund, offering excellent proximity to famous landmarks and stunning scenery. It's just a short walk to places like Waibaidu Bridge and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. Guests can enjoy beautiful views of the Bund and the 'Pudong Three-Piece Suit' (referring to the three iconic skyscrapers) from their windows, a truly breathtaking sight. Whether it's day or night, the hotel's prime location makes exploring and admiring Shanghai's beauty incredibly easy and convenient. The service quality is generally highly praised, with special recognition for the exclusive concierges, Coco, Kaly, and Eva, who are exceptional, professional, and enthusiastic.
SSuoFlareI've never willingly given a hotel a perfect five-star rating, but this one deserves it. The location is absolutely fantastic, right above IFC and surrounded by major shopping malls. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Disney Store, the Oriental Pearl Tower, and the Bund.
Even though it's a 10-year-old hotel, you really have to stay here to understand just how incredibly well-maintained it is. The service is practically on-demand; they respond to almost any request incredibly quickly. While they don't automatically deliver takeout to your room, you can call concierge and they'll bring it up.
The hotel breakfast offers a good variety, and everything tastes delicious. 'Variety' is relative, of course – it can't compare to places that specialize solely in breakfast, but it's very good nonetheless.
I would absolutely recommend this hotel to any family or friends who need a place to stay in Shanghai.
AAnonymous UserThis resort is the absolute best! Angel escorted us to our room when we checked in and even gave the kids bath toys, which they loved. Cynthia was incredibly warm and helpful, assisting us with a speedy check-out and asking about our stay. The baby absolutely adored the pool! We'll definitely be back to try other room types next time.
The Bund's 'Three-Piece Set' view is absolutely stunning, such a wonderful surprise. The hotel is very quiet. I've already recommended it to several friends, and even my local Shanghai friends are planning to go experience it – it's that amazing. Choosing this high-end hotel when traveling with kids was definitely the right decision.
Mini bar: A pleasant surprise!

MM514376****The room environment is clean, and the view from the window is beautiful (as shown in the attached pictures). The hotel staff, especially the ladies, were very attentive and thoughtful. I highly recommend the Meilunmeihuan Hotel.
AAnonymous UserTo catch the New Year's fireworks, I checked into Jinjiang International Hotel. This hotel is relatively new, with a bright and modern decor. The room was spacious with large, floor-to-ceiling windows. It was clean and hygienic, and the shower was great with strong water pressure. Aside from a long wait during check-in, all other services were prompt and attentive. The breakfast and dinner buffets were decent, with some well-prepared dishes and a good variety. Even when crowded, breakfast was well-managed and orderly. If you're visiting Dishui Lake, this hotel is a good choice.

The breakfast spread was incredibly generous, and the local snacks tasted great. The free happy hour for guests on the first floor (6:00 PM - 7:30 PM) was fantastic, with a wide selection and excellent service 👍

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for one night during a business trip and overall had a smooth experience.
The price is very reasonable, and the hotel itself is fairly ok. They also gave me an upgrade when I checked in, but I can’t say how that room was different to the one that I booked. The rooms and breakfast were both okay — nothing outstanding, but perfectly fine for a short stay.
One of the highlights is the convenient location, with many dinner options nearby, which was great for our needs.
I appreciated the welcome cookie, although it was quite hard and crumbly — a nice gesture, but not very tasty.
One small inconvenience was that I couldn’t get a Chinese invoice (fapiao) directly at the hotel; instead, they told me to request it through the booking app, which I found a bit unusual.
Despite these minor issues, it was an easy and pleasant stay. I would definitely consider staying here again if I need a hotel in this area at this price point.

2233716****This was my first time staying at an airport hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised, as I chose it to photograph planes at Hongqiao Airport. The location is truly excellent; watching planes in the morning and evening was a fantastic experience. It would be even better for photos if the window panes were cleaned daily, haha. The facilities are mostly comprehensive and clean, not feeling old at all. The service was exceptional, very warm and responsive to our needs. They generously provided breakfast and happy hour access for my child. My only minor disappointment was the limited and simple selection of food during happy hour, but the breakfast was definitely up to par.
