5-Star Hotels in Shanghai, China

The hotel facilities are complete and the hygiene is excellent. I booked a river view room, and the floor-to-ceiling windows in both the room and bathroom offered an unobstructed view of the North Bund, including all its attractions. Coincidentally, a navy ship was visiting Shanghai and open for tours, but I couldn't get a reservation. Still, seeing it from afar through the window was quite gratifying. The hotel's exterior windows were spotless, which was perfect for enjoying the views, allowing me to appreciate the beauty of Shanghai both day and night. The staff were all very polite, always ready to answer questions and fulfill requests. Before check-in, they called to confirm my itinerary and ask about any special requirements. All the services were excellent, making for a very satisfying and pleasant stay.

Stayed at the Radisson Blu with a friend, and a big shoutout to Oliver for his incredible patience and for answering all our questions during check-in. Our experience was fantastic! He fulfilled our request for a high floor and a quiet room, and even upgraded us, which was amazing – the views and ambiance were superb. We also dined at the revolving restaurant on the 45th floor; the staff there were so warm and friendly, and their service was excellent. The scenery and food were both wonderful. I'll definitely be bringing my parents here next time!

We had the best stay here at Ginco Hotel! The staff were amazing, the food was delicious, the room and communal spaces are so beautifully designed and clean. Free coffee, bottled water as well as juices were available everyday. They always helped us with anything whether lending an umbrella when it was raining, let us check out later, and providing great recommendations for exploring Shanghai. Would give this place a 10 star if we could and would definitely stay here again!!! Shout out to Olivia, my twin here, she was super hospitable to us throughout our stay. Thanks so much ✨🤩🙏

Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. It's convenient, and the service attitude is excellent. I was traveling with two kids and booked two rooms, and luckily, the hotel staff arranged connecting rooms for us. Although it's a bit old, it's comfortable to stay in, and any requests were handled promptly. That's why we extended our stay in the same rooms, postponing our other plans. We stayed an extra day in Shanghai. The value for money at this price is really great!

The best thing about this hotel is its location, right near the Xintiandi shopping district. You can just head downstairs and start exploring, which is great for both seniors and kids to relax. Nancy's service was excellent, and there were many foreigners in the lobby, all seeming very satisfied. The hotel's location is excellent. We stayed here for three nights with our child. The room was clean and tidy, with a beautiful view of the Oriental Pearl Tower and the 'three-piece set' of skyscrapers. The staff were very enthusiastic and helpful, assisting us with luggage storage and retrieval. They even have robots for room service, which our child loved! Sitting by the window to watch the night view was also beautiful. Overall, we're very satisfied and would highly recommend it. We'll definitely stay here again! 👌🏻

This hotel is on Nanjing Road, so the location offers amazing value for money. The room was clean and spacious, with good attention to hygiene details, just a bit old, but no other issues! Stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong for one night, and it was truly a memorable experience. We were two female travelers and booked a Skyline View Twin Room. The room was spacious, elegant, and beautifully designed, with a modern yet luxurious feel. The highlight was definitely the stunning skyline view—especially at night, the city lights created a breathtaking atmosphere right from the comfort of our room. It was a perfect setting to relax and unwind. The beds were extremely comfortable, with high-quality linens that ensured a restful sleep. The room was impeccably clean, and every detail reflected the hotel’s high standards. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a well-designed layout, a strong shower, and a generous bathtub, making the overall experience even more enjoyable. The service was exceptional, as expected from a Ritz-Carlton property. The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. The location in Pudong is very convenient, with easy access to shopping malls, restaurants, and key attractions. It is an excellent choice for both leisure and business travelers. Overall, this hotel offers a perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and service. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to families with kids. A special thank you to Koi, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We checked in later in the afternoon with our kids, and she kindly arranged a platter of fresh fruit for us, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made us feel very well taken care of. We booked the staycation-themed Octonauts room, and it was spacious, cute, and perfect for families. Kids who love Octonauts will absolutely love this room—the decorations were fun and the space was very comfortable for all of us. The buffet breakfast was also excellent, with a great variety of food to choose from. Everything was well-prepared and enjoyable for both adults and kids. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and truly appreciate the warm hospitality, especially from Koi. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

I booked an Executive King Room this time. The room size was good, and the facilities were quite new, not like those you find in typical chain hotels, which I really appreciated! The best thing about this hotel is its excellent location, right next to the subway station and perfectly situated between Nanjing Road and the Bund! When traveling with kids, safety, location, and facilities are my top priorities. The front desk staff's service was average, but the lobby staff were very friendly and proactive in helping. My biggest complaint is the breakfast. I'd suggest having a dedicated breakfast area, especially for a 5-star hotel. Eating in the lobby means the food gets cold quickly, and the variety was a bit limited.
