Stayed here with my family and overall we had a pleasant stay. The resort grounds are beautiful, spacious and full of greenery, giving a relaxing kampung-style tropical vibe. The beach is just a short walk away and the sunset view was amazing.
The swimming pool was one of our kids' favourite spots. Staff were generally friendly and check-in was smooth. The room was comfortable and suitable for families.
However, we experienced an issue during our stay where several family members developed itchy rashes/insect bites. We are not completely certain of the source, but it affected our overall experience and caused some concern, especially with young children.
Despite that, the resort itself is beautiful, family-friendly and located in a great area near Pantai Cenang. Hopefully the resort can look into this matter to ensure future guests have a more comfortable stay.

We received a very warm and attentive welcome upon arriving at the hotel, which made the check-in process smooth and pleasant. After settling in, we headed to Hava Restaurant for dinner, where they serve Indian cuisine. The food was delicious, and the experience was made even more special by the beautiful sunset views while we dined. Although the food was a bit on the pricey side, it was well worth it for the overall experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and thoughtful—they even remembered our kids’ names, which added a personal touch to our stay.
The resort itself is well-equipped, offering complimentary buggy services and bicycle rentals, making it easy and fun to get around. The place is quite and spacious, it is truly an ideal destination for relaxation.
We had such a wonderful time that we would love to come back again, especially with our parents next time.
The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful; they even upgraded our room to one with sunbeds and a terrace for our honeymoon, which we greatly appreciated. The hotel is new and clean, and the breakfasts are decent, offering everything you'd expect for a European breakfast (omelets, cheeses, fruits, pastries – all good quality).
The hotel also has an excellent spa that I highly recommend. They have a separate bungalow for massages with its own bathroom, shower, and terrace. The prices are reasonable, and the massage was superb (and I speak from experience).
There are two fantastic, new tennis courts at the hotel.
The beach is clean and spacious, with easy entry into the water and no big waves, making it perfect for families with children.
The hotel also caters to adults with an 'adults-only' pool area (a quiet, lovely spot with a good menu). The staff there are responsive and attentive.
Highly recommended!

The accommodation was very comfortable with beautiful and calming views. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service throughout our stay. The overall ambiance of the hotel also felt premium and satisfying.
However, there are a few areas that could be improved. For breakfast, the food options were quite limited, and the same menu was repeated daily. The taste of the food also didn't quite suit our palate, such as the nasi lemak with overly sweet sambal and soup that lacked flavor and ingredients. We hope the hotel can improve the variety and quality of the food, especially for a high-standard hotel like Four Seasons.
Additionally, the bath towels were rather coarse and uncomfortable to use. For a five-star hotel, prioritizing softer and higher-quality towels should be a given, as it significantly impacts guest comfort.
Overall, the stay was still good, but some aspects need improvement to truly meet luxury hotel standards.
Facilities: While not a brand-new hotel, it boasts its own nature reserve ambiance. All rooms are individual wooden bungalows, offering different mountain and ocean views! The rooms are spacious! The balcony is very comfortable!
Hygiene: The cleaning was excellent and very thorough!
Environment: As soon as you enter, it feels like a giant natural garden combining forest and ocean. You can spot dusky leaf monkeys and hornbills everywhere, truly a wonderful ecosystem! There's no need to go out to see any other attractions when you're here! The pool is also very comfortable, not crowded, and the drinks at the pool bar are delicious!
Service: Excellent! I received a birthday surprise, a handwritten blessing, a birthday cake, and an upgrade to a sea-view wooden chalet. The hotel is truly thoughtful and generous. They wished me a happy birthday during check-in, and the room was decorated with a little surprise! It feels like the hotel genuinely cares about guests' special occasions, even though I hadn't requested any of these in advance! So, I was very touched!

Our stay at Parkroyal Langkawi (Timeless Love By The Sea package) in Chenang was one of the highlights of our extended Malaysia trip.
We hadn’t originally planned to stay here. While walking the full length of the lively Chenang beach from our Airbnb, we wandered into the hotel grounds and were immediately impressed by the well-maintained facilities and beautiful beachfront.
What we thought was a private beach turned out to be wonderfully welcoming. We sat on the deck chairs, watched a couple enjoying a romantic beach dinner, and decided we wanted that experience too.
After checking the rates, we found the pricing reasonable for a family. We booked directly with the hotel for two nights in a Premier Ocean View King Room, followed by two nights in Deluxe Ocean View Double Queen rooms via Trip.com.
The entire experience truly felt 5-star. We had read mixed reviews beforehand and went in with realistic expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised — almost everything exceeded what we anticipated.
Check-in & Service
On arrival, Hafeez handled our check-in smoothly. Since we were already on the island, we didn’t need the airport transfer, but we asked about using the return transfer for our whole family (including children arriving later). Concierge Saravannan went above and beyond by crediting the value of both transfers toward a larger 6-seater vehicle. We only needed a small Grab for the rest. This flexibility left a strong first impression.
The Room
Our Premier Ocean View Room (922) was excellent — stunning sea views, a large circular bathtub, an incredibly comfortable bed, and luxurious shower facilities. Minor signs of wear were easy to overlook. The room was high enough to avoid most pool and jet-ski noise, and we even enjoyed distant fireworks. The welcome chocolate pralines and sparkling wine were lovely touches.
Dining
The daily buffet breakfast was superb — a generous spread of Western and local dishes. We ate so well that lunch was rarely needed.
Our first dinner at Cassia was decent, especially the sweet-and-sour fish with its nice charred flavour, though the pasta portion was small. Direct booking gave us RM50 F&B credit per day, which added good value.
The undisputed highlight was our Candlelight Dinner on the lawn facing the beach. The beautifully decorated table made us feel like royalty. Service from Faheem, a 21-year-old staff member, was outstanding — attentive and proactive. A brief rain shower interrupted us after the first two courses, but the team quickly moved us into Lancava with the same setup. The food was excellent, especially the Sea Bass and Vongole pasta (flavourful clams with no fishy taste). The chef Mr Zul even came out personally to explain the dish.
We saved dessert for the Ocean View Lounge, where Izzat served us cake and complimentary coffee. The coordination across departments was impressive.
Second Stay & Family Time
For our second subsequent booking, the hotel prepared one of the Deluxe Ocean View Double Queen rooms early. A porter moved all our luggage so we could relax comfortably. The kids loved the pool, organised activities, playground, and kids’ club. The Deluxe rooms were spacious, though the sliding door sensor was overly sensitive compared to our Premier room.
We enjoyed stepping out for affordable local food just across the street or into bustling Chenang. Breakfast was peaceful when we went early (7–8 am).
This is one of the most detailed reviews I’ve ever written, but Parkroyal Langkawi genuinely earned it. From the warm Malaysian hospitality and constant smiles to the thoughtful service touches, every staff member helped create wonderful memories. It was the perfect relaxing end to our Malaysia trip — money very well spent.
We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to the entire team!
We had five nights at The Danna and had a relaxed and comfortable stay. The staff are lovely and so helpful. The resort is beautiful and is located in an amazing beach location. It caters for families and couples alike. There is a great range of restaurants, but prices are more expensive than local dining options. The Danna is quite isolated, but is on the main road to the cable car. Using local ride share such as Grab is super cheap and very available, however the resort caters for everything and you rarely need to leave unless you want to explore the local area.

I recently stayed at The Riyaz Lavanya Langkawi and overall it was a very pleasant and comfortable experience, especially for a couple trip.
The room was spacious, modern, and well-maintained, with a highlight being the large bathroom and bathtub, which made the stay feel more relaxing and premium than expected. Everything was clean and well designed, giving a nice balance between comfort and style.
The location is also very convenient. It is situated in Kuah, making it easy to walk to nearby dining spots. One of the best parts was being within walking distance to Orchid Ria Seafood Restaurant, where we enjoyed fresh seafood at reasonable prices. There is also Latitude 6 Degree Cafe nearby, which is great for coffee and casual meals.
The hotel itself feels calm and suitable for relaxation, not overly crowded, and ideal for travellers who prefer convenience and comfort over a busy resort atmosphere.
Overall, this hotel is a great value stay in Langkawi, especially if you enjoy spacious rooms, good bathrooms, and easy access to food options.
Visited during the Chinese New Year peak season. Booked a standard room, but upon arrival, they upgraded us directly to a sea view room (some views were partially obstructed by trees), which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were quite enthusiastic and very kind to children. The swimming pool was fantastic, we went for a swim every day. As for dining, we only tried Langkawi Kitchen and Beach Grill, and both were pretty good.
I blindly chose this hotel and stayed for 5 consecutive days, ready to just relax. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. The hotel is located by the sea and near the mountains, about a 30-minute drive from Cenang Beach, making it relatively quiet. If you need to go out, taking a taxi is very convenient. The hotel has several swimming pools, which are great for kids. My child didn't want to leave the pool once they got in, and you can order drinks right by the poolside, which is very handy. The breakfast variety changes a bit, and the eggs + pancakes pictured were delicious – the sauce was definitely the highlight. The staff were all quite friendly and greeted me warmly whenever we met.

MMeinvxingxingThe room layout was very well designed and practical. They even had a capsule coffee machine, which was a nice touch. The pool and outdoor areas were beautiful. What I really appreciated was that getting to the beach and pool from the hotel wasn't as far a walk as it often is in China. The breakfast was plentiful, although my Chinese palate wasn't entirely used to some of the offerings. The beach was great for shell-collecting, with lots of shellfish. Overall, a really good experience! Just a heads-up, there's no Chinese-speaking staff, and it's mostly European guests.
