"Taking the club access comes with 1)Breakfast (can go either at level 5 or 20) Level 5had more option but more people Level 20 more privacy, less people but the food option is not much 2) high tea Provides some biscuit, and can order drink 3)evening coctail Can consider as dinner I decided to book for the stay purposely for short trip in which i want to fully spend in my room, i would recommed to take if most of time stay at hotel, but if going out to enjoy the city, no need to take club access. During the stay, i tried their in room dining, i order quite a number of menu so it takes quite some time, honestly just typical hotel food with no extraordinary taste, but the view from my room is priceless making dinner become more fun to enjoy.9/10 chance of coming back here."

"This place seriously blew me away. Located above Imago mall and styled like a high-end hotel, the room felt ultra-luxurious from the moment I walked in. Yes, it’s on the pricier side — but you can see and feel where the money goes. Every detail screams premium: a Dyson hairdryer, thick and fluffy slippers, electronic blinds, touch-control lighting, and a stunning bathtub that instantly sets the mood for a relaxing stay. The design is sleek, modern, and Instagram-worthy in every corner. What truly sets this place apart is the generosity in amenities. Instead of the standard small bottled water, they provide 1500ml drinking water, plus free-flow drinking water and soft drinks to enjoy anytime. Even the Starbucks cups added a classy, thoughtful touch that made the stay feel extra special. On top of all that, parking is provided, making it incredibly convenient — especially with the mall right downstairs. This isn’t just a place to sleep — it’s an experience. If you love luxury, comfort, and those little details that make you say “wow”, this place absolutely delivers."

"The lobby looked underwhelming when first arrived but our corner Deluxe room was spacious and well laid out. We decided on a Hillview room as we figured we would get to enjoy the sea view in the restaurant and bar anyway. What made the stay enjoyable was the warmth and eagerness to please staff, from receptionist, housekeeper to F&B staff. Special mention goes to petite Soon Pei Qi at the restaurant and Alvin at the Bar who is a great mixologist. We had experiences at other hotels for dining and sunset drinks and Hyatt stood out for its newness and vibes in a relatively smaller hotel than the others. Definitely recommend the Hyatt Centric for those travelers who enjoy a vibrant hotel ambience and easy accessibility to places of interests and shopping."

"The location is fantastic. There's a huge mimosa tree right outside the window. Every night, the egrets wash themselves there and look like a bouquet of flowers from my room; in the morning, they slowly spread out. There's a night market directly across the street, making dining very convenient, and the sea views are also excellent. As for the room itself, it's pretty much a standard Aimei Hotel room. The front desk service was okay, and they spoke a bit of Chinese. The doorman opening doors and everything else was also good."

"Service: The staff in every department were very helpful. When we mentioned it was our honeymoon, they even helped decorate the room. Room & Facilities: Our outdoor area directly faced the garden and the sea, offering a fantastic view. However, the indoor space was quite cramped, and the facilities were indeed outdated. There were also a lot of mosquitoes. The pool was nice, though. Food: The breakfast and dinner buffets were very crowded on weekends, and if you went later, some dishes were already gone. The weekday breakfast and dinner experience was much better, and the food actually tasted quite good."

"I was in transit for an international flight during the day, and my phone had no signal, so I couldn't add the owner on WeChat. When I arrived in Kota Kinabalu at night and resolved my internet issues, I still couldn't reach the owner. I had to follow the self-check-in guide in the confirmation email. What's ridiculous is that the key pick-up code was in a video that wouldn't open. All five of us, with our phones, couldn't open the video to get the code. We even tried using computer software to decode it, but to no avail. There's no front desk, and I couldn't reach the owner. I called Trip.com customer service, and they also couldn't get a hold of the owner. All the surrounding hotels were fully booked, so we were scrambling all night. Finally, we discovered a small gap in the key safe door. We had no choice but to have my slender-handed younger brother use chopsticks to retrieve the key for half an hour, and his hand was bruised. A group of old and young had nowhere to rest until 4:30 AM! The owner might say it's because they couldn't reach us or we didn't add them on WeChat. But I want to ask, as a hotel, shouldn't you consider issues like international travelers' network signals? For a self-check-in hotel, why can't crucial information like the key safe password be directly sent to the customer via a friend request message or email? If you know a customer hasn't checked in and can't be reached, shouldn't the emergency contact number be accessible? Why play these complicated games with videos that won't even open? I'm here to stay, not to play an escape room trying to find a key! Shouldn't it be as simple and convenient as possible?"

"The location is excellent, just a short walk to popular eateries like Shuang Tian, Da Jia Lai, and Tian Xia Ke. I usually don't book breakfast when I reserve a hotel, but I saw a special deal this time and many people raved about the variety, so I decided to try it. There was indeed a good selection, and I especially enjoyed the hot noodles from the noodle station. Oh, one thing I wasn't happy with was the elevator's scent – it was way too strong. I had to hold my breath every time I went in. Could you perhaps choose a more subtle fragrance?"

"The hotel's location is excellent. It's a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport and conveniently close to everything. Imago Shopping Mall is just a 10-minute walk away, and the new Jesselton Point ferry terminal is only 15 minutes on foot, making island hopping incredibly easy without any hassle. The only minor disappointment was that we didn't get an upgraded room, and the view wasn't particularly great. However, it was wonderfully quiet, with no motorbike noise whatsoever. I'd read some reviews saying the hotel was old, but I completely disagree – it felt very clean and new, with no strange odors. And let me tell you, the Hyatt's breakfast is amazing! "Let me talk about some aspects beyond the rooms. Even after checking out, if your flight is in the evening, the hotel still provides an exclusive area for showering, getting water, charging devices, and resting. The facilities are comprehensive and clean. The family-friendly amenities are incredibly well-equipped, featuring three large water slides, a kids' slide, and water spray equipment. There's also children's bowling, bubble shows, character interactions, and much more, with different activities every day. They also offer some paid activities for children. The adult and children's pools are well-separated. I had hoped to see the bonfire show, but it was unfortunately canceled due to the weather. For sunset views, you can simply watch from the hotel. The hotel has various restaurants, where you can enjoy a buffet or à la carte dinner. I do hope they can manage the insects in the restaurants, as there were flies during breakfast."

KKT5009Don't book during the rainy season, don't book during the rainy season, don't book during the rainy season. It's from Sep to Feb. I said 3 times it's important if you don't wanna ruin your holiday. We booked 3D2N in mid Sep. Our holiday turned out to be a staycation nightmare in the resort. We can't do all the water activities neither the jungle trekking. The water heater in our room is not working, we have to shower with shivering cold water in this kind of weather. Lots of big size anta inside the room crawling from the bathroom to the bedroom. Make sure you cleaned up for your snacks and drinks, tie up the garbage bag if you don't want these insects to come to your bed, There is also a landslide happening on our first night, luckily we are not affected as we stayed in the ocean villa. There is only one restaurant in this resort, food prices are the same as SG restaurant pricing, no cheap option here. In room dining needs to pay RM25 extra. Staff service is good but this cannot cover the several run down part of the resort.

SSanbuxiyangBooking was smooth and convenient, and upon arrival, the Marriott's service was as expected – efficient and helpful. However, despite emailing beforehand to request two adjoining rooms, we were placed on different floors, which was very inconvenient. The hotel's room service was good, but the room decor felt dated, not like it had been recently renovated, which was a bit disappointing. Also, if you're a light sleeper, definitely avoid this hotel. It's located directly under a flight path, so planes fly overhead frequently, which is terrible for sleep and rest; I was woken up multiple times!

GGuest UserThe Magellan Sutera Resort is a great hotel. My family had a wonderful experience here. The location is close to the port, you can enjoy your ocean activities and also can easily find restaurants and shopping mall nearby. That was important for the family tour. The best experience I want to mention is hotel service. The front desk representative Juliet is a nice and warm lady. She did great help to me and made my trip here pleasant and enjoyable. Thank you so much to Juliet.Wish to see you next time.

GGuest UserEverything was perfect. Every staff member at the resort was incredibly welcoming and helpful, even the maintenance workers I passed on the paths greeted me warmly. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and breakfast was absolutely perfect – I couldn't find a single fault. The resort doesn't cut back on service or close facilities just because there are fewer guests, which is great. It was a perfect getaway, and I will definitely be returning.

AAnonymous UserThis is my fourth time staying at this hotel. The location is great, and it has a private beach, though it's not very big. The pool is quite large, but shallow, and this time it wasn't very clean. I mainly stay here for the convenience of island hopping from Jesselton Point. Finally, the hotel is a bit old, and the facilities aren't very new; the safe in my room (room 1057) was broken when I arrived. The bed is a bit too soft for my liking. Breakfast was very crowded (it was a holiday) and the taste was just average with not much variety. Other than that, everything else was okay.

TTravelwithBamThe staff friendliness is just amzing 10/10. Excellent Service. Our room had amazing view of the sea and opposite resort called Gayana. Dinner: Only Buffet option is available and its about RM167/person +taxes. The spread are fairly good and it is delicious. Though they do have 2 more different Restaurant in the island,Japanese and fine dining. Breakfast: Included in the room price. Menu changes daily. I have nothing to complaint about the room, for us its comfortable. All rooms have exactly the dane Designs the only difference is where it is located. You are paying for the view. Activities: For me I think 3 days 2 nights are perfect to spend your time here, swimming by the pool, kayaking, snorkling,Jungle trekking, visiting the private beach. 1 hour complimentary use of snorklinh masks. I like the public guests showers and towel provided.Very convinient. One thing that I would like to comment is the boat fees are relatively very expansive.15 mins speedboat per person one way cost about Rm80+taxes..Just return trip cost RM170++ per person. This is not even including island conservation fees and tourist fees. All this added fees makes the Hotel cost more expansive. Because a boat trip to nearby or same Island cost only Rm40. GAYANA ECO RESORT provided inclusive/complimentary return boat fees. I hope the Management can improve this because we as Guests are going to spend more money on F&B and at the Bar. Last but not least I would like to compliment the service and staffs in thsi Resort I think they did such an amazing job. Overalö the Resort is beautiful andclose to the nature.

GGuest UserThis village is all about beachfront holidays, and its pros and cons revolve around that. **Pros:** The private, secluded cabins offer unbeatable ocean views. You can lie on the terrace lounge chair at night, accompanied by the sound of waves and sea breeze, under a sky full of stars. During the day, various fish and birds keep you company. It's a diving resort, with both scuba diving and snorkeling available. I heard the diving is good, but I didn't try scuba. The snorkeling right off the beach near the village entrance wasn't great. So, we hired a private boat to go snorkeling elsewhere, which was excellent; we saw multiple sea turtles. **Cons:** What made it great also made it less so. The cabin is drafty on all four sides, and the air conditioning is really weak and blows directly onto the bed, almost making me sick. However, it was still better than opening the windows. The ocean waves in the morning were definitely louder than a bus downstairs. The most bizarre thing was that only the terrace had curtains; the rest of the cabin didn't. So, the morning sun shone directly onto the head of the bed, which I guess is due to its orientation. These are points where opinions might differ. Most frustratingly, aside from scuba diving and snorkeling, there are no other entertainment options in the village. Under the tropical sun, everyone just retreats to their rooms. Plus, scuba and snorkeling are handled at separate locations. I have to complain about the somewhat old facilities. You can see sea fish through the gaps in the wooden floorboards. The bathroom had various issues: the toilet needed two flushes (and I, being an engineer, still can't figure out why), the overhead shower only produced about a third of its normal water flow, with the rest squirting out horizontally onto the partition. Luckily, there was a handheld shower that worked for one day. The next evening, the handle broke off when I tried to turn it on, and water started gushing out. So, two security guards came, both claiming they were just security. The last time, around 11 PM, I was already in bed when three people arrived, again stating they'd fix it tomorrow. The next day, both showers were repaired... The food was... edible, I guess. In short, this village is a matter of personal taste.
