I've stayed at three hotels in Hawaii, and this one was the cleanest. The room size was a bit smaller compared to other hotels, but it was fine. Since it was Christmas, they were giving out hot chocolate in the lobby, which was delicious.
It's very close to the beach, and the pool is nice and pretty, but for beach equipment rentals, you have to go to a place quite a distance away, not the hotel itself. That was a bit inconvenient.
Also, the pool water was a little dirty.
Using the washing machine here was great, as it was $3 compared to $6 at Marriott.
When I checked in, Japanese staff helped me, but I was a bit disappointed that they kept talking to each other in Japanese and didn't provide enough information about using the hotel facilities.

As the driver said, this is the best hotel in Hawaii. Before coming here, we went to the Hilton on the Big Island and stayed at the Holiday Inn on Oahu. The difference in service quality is stark. Both hotels had a 6 PM check-in time, but here, we felt the warmth and hospitality of all the staff. Knowing we were on our honeymoon and arrived early, they immediately arranged our room. All the service was so attentive. I also recommend the French cuisine at La Mer. Enjoying the sea breeze, the coconut trees under the moonlight, and top-notch service and food will surely be unforgettable. Next time I come to Hawaii, I will definitely stay here again because everything is just too perfect! ✌️

Stayed for 4 nights
The check-in staff was arrogant and unfriendly.
The check-out staff did not explain the $48 daily destinations fee clearly, and the balance was not clearly stated. After repeated questions, they further explained, but their attitude was unfriendly.
Every day, the house keeping staff put the garbage in the room into the garbage bag, but forgot to clean it up and take it away, and only made the bed.
There were cockroaches in the bathroom
The price is not worth the price.
I believe I will not stay here again.

I had seen a lot of negative reviews on various platforms before, but I didn't experience any of those issues myself.
1. I checked in earlier than the official time. The front desk staff was very friendly and explained that my room was still being cleaned, so I couldn't check in immediately. I left my luggage and went out shopping. While I was out, the hotel called to say my room was ready, which was earlier than the standard check-in time.
2. I discussed my room preferences with the front desk, and I was pleasantly surprised when I got to my room. It felt much better than what I had booked.

I was pulling my hair out trying to pick a hotel in Waikiki, but I finally settled on one that wasn't too old and had fewer negative reviews – Ka Laʻi, LXR Hotels & Resorts.
🏨 This hotel used to be the Trump International Hotel and was rebranded as Hilton's LXR last year. Since there's no LXR series in my home country, I did some research and found out that LXR is Hilton's luxury brand, launched in 2018. During my stay, I truly experienced the meticulousness of Japanese-style service. There were many Japanese staff at the front desk and concierge, which explains why so many Japanese influencers recommend it on Instagram.
🛏️ The biggest surprise in the room was the fully equipped kitchen. It wasn't just for show; you could actually cook in it – Zwilling knives, Kinto glassware and pottery, and even a rice cooker and toaster. All the pots, pans, and utensils were there, even chopsticks. What's most commendable is that every single piece of tableware was sparkling clean, like new. For us, who can't finish super-sized portions, being able to pack leftovers and reheat them was a huge convenience. The toiletries were Byredo, which is rare to find in tasteful hotels in the US. The wardrobe in the room also felt very high-quality.
📍 It's a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. It's a 5-minute walk to the beach and a 5-minute walk to the shopping street. The room offered a partial ocean view, making it convenient for dining, entertainment, and activities, yet it was very quiet at night.
🎳 The only downside was that the public recreation facilities were undergoing renovation, and the pool was temporarily closed. If this is a concern for you, I recommend checking the progress beforehand or waiting until the renovations are complete.
✅ Overall, if you want a comfortable, home-like stay in Waikiki without sacrificing the quality of a luxury hotel, this LXR is definitely worth adding to your favorites.

The location was great, walking distance to the beach, shops , restaurants, etc. Room was nice, great views. The bell desk and concierge were super helpful and friendly. Check in was a bit slow other than that everything was good.
The room is old, but well maintained. If you are a fan of White Lotus, you will feel it as soon as you arrive at the hotel.
Pros: The room is well maintained, the green facilities downstairs are good, and the overall living experience is good;
Cons: There is no private beach, the privacy is average, and the beach is shared with several hotels; the staff are not very enthusiastic;
The service is very, very warm. Compared with the next door Rosewood, I personally like the service of Four Seasons. The room has good lighting and is suitable for traveling alone. The room of Rosewood is more beautiful than Four Seasons, but it is not suitable for individual travel. It is more suitable for couples. There should not be 3,000 fish in the kings pond as they said. If you go snorkeling in it, the water quality is relatively turbid. I understand that it is sea water after all. It is 6 meters deep. I didn’t see a lifeguard nearby. Do what you can.

My stay didn't live up to expectations. When I went for breakfast in the morning, I was told it wasn't included, even though I'd specifically confirmed it was when booking. That immediately soured my mood. Thankfully, I contacted the platform's customer service, and they resolved it quickly and offered compensation. The hotel's incredible sea view made up for the shortcomings. I really hope the platform and the hotel, especially one with such a rich history, can avoid such communication errors in the future to ensure a truly excellent guest experience.
I've been here many times,
and it's still wonderful!
However, it's a shame that the counter for Japanese people that used to be there is no longer there,
but I still think this is the No. 1 hotel on Maui.
There are very few photos of the hotel,
but they are of the club lounge or the restaurant next to the golf course.

XXiangzixuanThe Four Seasons Hotel really lives up to its reputation. The overall service is very good, and the room layout is also great. The swimming pool in particular is very impressive. However, I feel that the service for foreign tourists can be more detailed.

KkimsoulThe view of the hotel facing the sea is very beautiful, and the view of the Makai golf venue next door is also beautiful. The hotel windowsill can look at the sea, and many people surf every morning and evening. Valet parking and resort fees need to be paid to the hotel separately, but are good value for money. The device is indeed out of date, it is still the charger for iphone4, but you can go to the supermarket in Princeville Center to rent a DVD. Soak in the hotel and don't want to go anywhere.
GGuest UserI can recommend this hotel. There are a lot of extra fees that you have to pay for example 37$ per day for a resort fee and 35$ per day if you want to park your car. So for 4 nights we ended up paying almost 400 dollars at the check out only for fees and taxes. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay. The location is great right by a beautiful beach where you can rent snorkeling gear (for free) and swim with fish and turtles! It also offers a lot of complementary activities and a good (although not amazing) breakfast buffet.
All in all we felt very relaxed there and would come back.
AAnonymous UserOn the first day of staying in the room, we were arranged a room far away. There were flies on the floor. Ctrip filed a complaint. But the hotel's recreational facilities are really good. The breakfast is OK, but the fruit is not very fresh.
TTIANJIThe hotel is located on the hill, below is the golf course and the beach. Compared to the four seasons that live below the beach, I think the sunset is more beautiful at the Wailea Hotel. In addition, it is very convenient to go to the beach to have a hotel Tesla. Because it is an adult hotel, it is strongly recommended that couples without children come here. The overall garden of the hotel is very beautiful and quiet. The overall service of the hotel is also very thoughtful. The front desk is warm and the hotel can be called golf. Car transfer, live here, no regrets
GGuest UserBeautiful location close to the beach. First room we were shown was extremely dark so we asked to change to a different one that didn't require to have the lights on during the day. Restaurant was decent, bed was comfortable. The one time we wanted to spend some time by the pool there weren't any chairs left, so would advise to go early to secure a spot.
