"First off, I have to commend the hotel's service; it was absolutely excellent. We arrived at 9:30 AM, and when we went to drop off our luggage, the staff had our room ready for us already, which was a really nice touch! However, the facilities genuinely don't measure up to a 3-star hotel back home. The entire resort is quite small and pales in comparison to the Hilton's grounds. For over 6,000 RMB a night, it was really just mediocre."

Hotel near Downtown Honolulu,Honolulu
Connected, quietly magnetic, and culturally alive, Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa offers a refreshingly modern take on island lifestyle, where ancient wisdom meets contemporary design. Located between the creative corridors of Kakaʻako, the shoreline, and the Shops of Ala Moana, this newly opened dual hotel and residence invites travelers to experience the soul of Hawai‘i in a way that feels both grounded and elevated. Inspired by the spirit of Koʻa, sacred coral sanctuaries where life once flourished along these very shores, the hotel has been thoughtfully layered as a modern refuge. Like coral gathering life from the sea, Renaissance Honolulu draws you in with moments of stillness, renewal, and connection with panoramic views from the 8th-floor Sky Deck and outdoor pools, the rejuvenating NAMI Spa, the global flavors of SERA, or the curated art by Sig Zane and Hiroshi Sugimoto—each piece rooted in the cultural rhythm and elemental beauty of the islands. Whether in a classically styled or a residentially appointed room, your stay is designed to feel like a return to something deeper; a sanctuary reborn, and unmistakably Hawai‘i.

"The view is beautiful; the higher floors offer ocean views and allow you to open the windows, but you can't see the sunrise. Across the street is the Alamoana Center, which has a food plant and delicious local poke. You can use your daily tax payment at the Sera restaurant downstairs, so it's a good thing. The rooms are far superior to the Hilton, but they lack the resort atmosphere. However, there's always a very strong smell when you enter, but thankfully you can sleep with the windows open. There's no parking, but there's free parking across the street, about a 15-minute walk. In Hawaii, you're practically helpless without a car. Getting to Wakii Beach without a car is a real struggle. The hotel provides a free shuttle, but you'll have to walk back. Nighttimes in the US aren't safe, even in Hawaii. So, choosing this hotel basically means missing out on sunsets and nighttime beach views unless you're really brave."

Hotel near Waikiki,Honolulu
Hawaiian for "heavenly brightness," the name Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach was chosen to honor Queen Liliuokalani, Hawaii's last reigning monarch. With a spectacular 839 guestrooms and public areas designed by the Rockwell Group, the Lobby O Bar features a 280,000-gallon Oceanarium filled with fish from Waikiki Beach, visible also from Lychee, our breakfast buffet. Highlights include a destination pool deck with a saltwater infinity pool, cabanas and the Swell bar. In 2018, Alohilani boasts two signature restaurants by internationally acclaimed Iron-Chef Masaharu Morimoto: Morimoto Asia Waikiki and Momosan Ramen & Beer Garden on Kalakaua Avenue. Hotel adheres to AHLA Cleaning Standards. For details on cleaning and health policy visit hotel website.

"We stayed in an ocean view room. It was very close to the sea, and the view from the lanai was absolutely stunning. I think it was one of the ocean view rooms with the best views, being so close to the ocean. I'm very grateful that we were allocated this particular room. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly and pleasant, which made our stay enjoyable. The location was also excellent, close to the Duke Kahanamoku statue in the heart of Waikiki. The only downsides were that there was no explanation about the resort points we were supposed to receive as part of our stay. Also, we booked three rooms for six people, but due to their system, we could only process payment for one room at a time. This meant I couldn't use the same credit card for the second room and had to scramble. I'd recommend bringing enough credit cards for each room you book. These two minor issues were a bit disappointing, so I deducted one star from the service rating."

We offer a variety of restaurants, infinity pool, fitness center, and spa.

"Location: The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient to get to the beach or other attractions. The valet service was also very good. Ambiance: The environment is great; you can see both the sunrise and sunset. Enjoying the breeze on the balcony while watching the sunset in the evening was incredibly relaxing. Facilities: Some facilities were under maintenance when we visited, but we didn't use the hotel's facilities much anyway, so it was fine. The only minor drawback is that the public areas are a bit small, which doesn't quite give it the feel of a resort. Hygiene: Very clean. The hotel's newly renovated style is also very minimalist. Housekeeping cleaned all used dishes and cooking utensils daily, which was a big plus."

Experience graceful grandeur at this Hawaiian classic resort set on the soothing white sands of Kauai’s sunny south shore. This exquisite resort beckons with 50 acres of lush gardens and pristine pools. Amenities abound from golf at Poipu Bay Resort to fresh island flavors at resort restaurants to the lavish, open-air Anara Spa.

"A typical American garden-style hotel with an elegant lobby and a large-scale three-dimensional swimming pool. There are many types of restaurants to choose from, among which Tidepools restaurant has a unique South Island flavor and is worth recommending. Reservations are required in advance. The room is large, but the facilities are too simple. It is best to bring all personal items with you. The overall evaluation is simple and luxurious."

"This beachfront hotel had a great atmosphere and allowed for a truly elegant stay. Despite a few drawbacks, my overall impression was very positive. Pros: * Excellent location (right on the beach) * Wonderful ambiance in the restaurants like Mai Tai Bar and Surf Lanai * The historic room felt very clean and full of character. Cons: * The information given at check-in was outdated (there were discrepancies between the Japanese and English versions), which meant I missed out on the hotel tour. * Some restaurant staff seemed more focused on rushing through their duties. * Noise."

The room facilities and views are top-notch in Hawaii, but the hotel service is unbelievably bad. The front desk staff were arrogant and rude (I don't know if it was racial discrimination), and they didn't inform me of my credit card authorization upon check-in, charging me $400 and $700 in two separate transactions, which I haven't been able to recover yet. For check-out, a shuttle bus is required to pick up luggage from the villa, but after calling for 25 minutes without anyone answering, I finally had to call room service to get a shuttle. The hotel has two restaurants; the casual dining restaurant staff were relatively friendly, but the main restaurant staff were extremely rude. I had to pour my own water/drinks, and they didn't even bring champagne after I finished the appetizers. I strongly advise against going there if you can't stand being treated badly; you'll be driven to the brink of insanity by the staff. Also, the snacks in the room's mini-bar were expired.

The view of the hotel facing the sea is very beautiful, and the view of the Makai golf venue next door is also beautiful. The hotel windowsill can look at the sea, and many people surf every morning and evening. Valet parking and resort fees need to be paid to the hotel separately, but are good value for money. The device is indeed out of date, it is still the charger for iphone4, but you can go to the supermarket in Princeville Center to rent a DVD. Soak in the hotel and don't want to go anywhere.

This is my second stay at this hotel, the first being during the Chinese New Year in 2024. I'll skip the pleasantries and get straight to it: this time was quite disappointing. I booked a sea-view twin room for 4 nights, and at several thousand yuan a night, it wasn't cheap. However, the shower was uncomfortable every evening. There was no hot water at all, and I had to let the cold water run for at least ten minutes before it slowly started to warm up. Plus, the water pressure was very low, which was really unpleasant. I couldn't wait to check out before leaving this review. I hope my feedback is helpful to others.
