The hotel's location is decent. While it's a little walk from the main street and the palace, its quietness and lack of crowds are a major advantage. The rooms are spotless, and the housekeeping staff are very diligent. The hotel breakfast is good, and the service staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.
We enjoyed our stay here with excellent service with a smile always. The room is very spacious and clean although the floor is not carpeted. The housekeeping services were prompt and exceeded our expectations and special mention to the staff Andri. This hotel is well centrally located next to the shopping mall and my room has an awesome view of the Merapi.
However, the breakfast selections and tastes still have room for improvement. Also, the towels provided a little worn out and discoloured.
A good hotel in a good location that’s got a weak spot, which is its food. We had a double room that was a great size with a very big bed furnished with comfortable linen. The a/c worked well and was relatively quiet. There was in room tea and coffee and bottled water.
We ate at the hotel twice, and declined breakfast after looking to see what was available. For breakfast, while we were around 40 minutes from the end of service the food looked meagre and unappetising. There was the opportunity to have omelettes etc, but we decided against it.
We ate in the rooftop restaurant, ordering spaghetti bolognese, chicken wings, spring rolls and a pizza. The food took a while to arrive and when it did it all came at once. All of the food was tepid at best and seemed as if it had been waiting to be collected and brought from the ground floor to the top floor. The bolognese was acceptable with the pasta being cooked al dente. The spring rolls had gone soggy and the wings, being just warm, were cooked ok but the sauce they were covered in was sickly sweet. The pizza was not cooked. The toppings appeared to be cooked but the base was raw. The dough was uncooked and inedible. We pointed this out and we were told it could be cooked further. We decided that probably wouldn’t improve it much. The staff offered a replacement, but again we decided that it would take too long and asked for it to be taken off the bill.
The second time we ate at the hotel we used the ground floor restaurant. Once again the food was disappointing. The oxtail soups contained beef that was not tender but tough, although the clear broth was tasty. The pasta of beef Alfredo, which was advertised as containing beef, mushrooms, etc was served with just a few pieces of what looked like smoked beef in a claggy sauce. Again, it appeared as if the meal had been sitting on the counter waiting for the waiters to deliver it to the table and had lost its heat. The fruit salad platter and banana fritters were very good.
Service at the hotel, from reception staff through to housekeeping was very good.
Overall, I’d stay again by I would avoid the restaurants.
For a Muslim woman, it is very nice to have a private swimming pool in each room
The place is also clean and comfortable
Highly recommended for family vacations
The villa looks very² nice and picturesque, The space for a small family was just nice (2 adults, 1 kid - Luxury Villa 3 Person-Twin Bed). When we get into the room to settle down, the aircon have already been switched on. The pool looks clean and well maintained. During the day, the pool will feel cold and when at night it gets chilly. After swimming, can just dry your clothes by the pool bcs there is direct sunlight. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful all the time when we need their assistance.
But we noticed during the day, the aircon could not perform well. The room temperature will only starts to go down during the night (after 9pm onwards). We do understand that the hotel is like an outdoor villa, but we do find some ants running around everywhere. Luckily we dont find them on our bed. Then their shower and bidet does not look well maintained. Got alot alot of white stains all over. Also, their bathtub, we found a few brown stains which we try to remove it on our own but couldn't. Last but not least, there is no table and chairs for us to dine. Normally we would just sit on the floor in our room in front of/below the aircon, so that we can feel cooling while eating.
Overall, i would give a 7/10, their villa could have look better if they maintained their property well and provided proper place for dining. As a person, im not really fussy to all of the negative statements stated above but my spouse aren't really happy about it so im here to share 2 person p.o.v. But i am very fussy when comes to the air conditioning. But due to my itenary, im always outside during the day and only be back in the room at night, so i decided not to request change of room or servicing the aircon.
Syariah hotel with prayer outfit inside the room ,the most i am impressed.

The hotel is clean and tidy. Location is right at the centre of Marlioboro, right next to a few shopping malls. The rooftop pool is the place my kids spent most of their time. The customer service is exceptional, they are always helpful.
The room fridge is though not functioning and was advised by the hotel that it's a display cabinet only, which is a bit odd. The hair-dryer is working but it will probably take me one hour to dry my hair with. I'd recommend bringing your own hair-dryer.

GGuest UserThe hotel is only 5 mins away from the airport. Amenities was amazing. Breakfast buffet was good. Expect the staff to be friendly and helpful, that would leave you wanting to stay longer there. Really enjoyed our stay here!

GGuest UserDisappointing. I’ve stayed at the Kimaya a few times before, and it’s not as good as it was. The best thing about the hotel is the friendly car park staff. The rooms are dated, the bed not particularly comfortable, the bathroom badly laid out, small, smelly, and veritably not spotlessly clean. I don’t blame the cleaners - how do you clean a bath when you have no access to it?
The reception staff are superficially friendly and efficient enough. Our biggest gripe was that the hotel refuses to take food delivery, which must be left outside by the gate. And they won’t tell you that it’s arrived. It’s a strange policy, especially considering the room service menu is not that great.
Breakfast is ok, again, not as good as it was.
As a regular visitor to Jogja, I hoped that the Kimaya would be my regular hotel for many years. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be back.
GGuest UserStayed for 2 nights with family of 12 people with 6 rooms, very large hotel, good location, clean in the hotel area but the cleanliness in the room is very dirty, the sheets in my room (both beds) There are stains of drinks spilled and one of them are dirty stains on the ground, and then the sheets have stains of cleaning services, such as the cleaning service staff is not good. The bed linen that seems very dirty is not changed or not clean in washing I don't know, obviously it is very annoying to me. And one of my group, his hand squeezed the bathroom door until his two fingers bleed, the bathroom door that was hard to push open and close to it very annoying.. Then the door of the room is always problematic, can't be opened until we always find help to the rervice room every time we enter the room, I hope that the future the settlement (door) will be replaced or at least repaired, us have a lot of choices for breakfast.
PPingshuixiangfeng109Facilities: A new hotel with comprehensive amenities.
Cleanliness: Spotlessly clean.
Environment: Superb, offering bright, open views and a beautiful landscape.
Service: Incredibly thoughtful and friendly.
Overall, the hotel's location is fantastic for airport access. It's very close and provides a shuttle service that gets you there in just a few minutes. This is incredibly convenient for catching early flights, as you don't have to rush or wake up at dawn. The food is also delicious, and the prices are very reasonable, making the overall value for money exceptional.
GGuest UserI booked the hotel as It was nearby to the train station Tugu,
I did not know that the hotel just opened the day I checked in on October 23rd. So I was wondering why all the 5 stars reviews were given in advance.
The lobby looks good and check in was good. All the employees were kind, friendly and polite.
I got room on 1st floor , My room has a city view so I could not open the curtain if the lights are on.
The room I was staying in was a standard room, there was a water cooker and a water jar ( you need to take water from dispenser next to the lift )
the AC was not on yet , so it was very hot when I entered the room. everything looked clean except for the mirrors, which were a bit dirty.
The room is not soundproof, because I could hear a child crying from nextdoor and I could hear some noise from the hall.
The bathroom is spacious and nicely arranged (but it seems unhandy as there is no place where you could hang your towels after they were used and there were no places to plug in your hairdryer) There was some problems with the hot water. I contacted the hotel and someone came twice to fix it but in the end there still was no hot water, lukewarm water was running for minute and then there was cold water again.
The internet connection was sometimes unstable.
GGuest UserLovely hotel with very amiable staff. The premise is clean and well taken care of. The staff is present but in a very surreptious manner, not in your face, highly polite and always willing to support us. However, the breakfast menu could do with a bit more variety. Breakfast was lovely but limiting. I would stay here again.
RRunyBunnyThis is my 1st time stay at El hotel recommend by my best friend, since she also stay there with family.
The hotel is atill new ,location and design are nice and strategist, the most i like is serounding by food ,shop and walking distance to famoust Malioboro street.

Thank you and see you again on my next visit.
GGuest UserGood rooms that had light music played in morning hours along the corridor. Rooms were decently sized. Comfort at a decent price point. We had a room with a playground view.
