"The breakfast was really delicious, the service from every employee in the hotel was wonderful. The beds were not that great, and the rooms were too warm. I also wish they had better room darkening window coverings as it was very bright in the room. I was also a bit disappointed in the art, they advertise as an art hotel but there were multiple copies of the same picture in the hallways and there wasn't as much art as I expected. The huge bathtub was nice, but the small bathroom was hard to manage."

"Foss hotel Reykjavik is a great place, conveniently located next to Bus stop 12 where all the tour operators pick up and drop off as well as Fly bus tdrop off and pick up. The hotel is very clean and safe. I have a fantastic experience with the staff in front desk and house keeping. I was a solo traveller and I asked guidance to the front desk on some places that i wanted to go within and near Reykjavik. Tge front desk staff, he gave me suggestions and helped me book the show ticket. He gave me clear instructions and seeing my lost look , even gave me the hootel phone numbers to call him in case I run into trouble. But thanks to his clear guidance I managed to navigate well and had a great day out. This hotel is about 15 to 20mrs from city centre by walk. One day I forgot my gold chain in the room. But the housekeeping folks while cleaning did not even touch any valuable stuff that i left. It is really a very reliable and safe hotel. They have a restaurant that serves delicioys food. I ate their fish and chips and chicken salad. Both were great. The breakfast has a good spread. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The best part is still the excellent service from the staff. My trip got rebooked and i had multiple correspondence with the staff and they were always prompt and reassuring. The only downside of the whole stay was my room. I got a corner room which had a slanted corner shape, meaning a triangle cut off from a rectangle. Though nicely laid out, i felt claustrophobic as the room size was much smaller. That room is not ideal, especially if not solo."

"This stay was, to put it mildly, a bug-infested lesson. I stayed for 4 nights. The first two nights were fine, but on the third night, things went south – I started getting bitten by bugs in the room, resulting in red spots all over my body. This wasn't just me being sensitive; these were clearly visible bites that required photographic evidence (which I did take, of both the spots and the bugs). What's even more outrageous is that this wasn't an isolated incident. I later found out that previous guests had reported similar issues, indicating that the hotel has a long-standing problem with hygiene and pest control, rather than a one-off accident. After the incident, the hotel's solution was to arrange a room change. The problem is, what had to happen already happened. The room change felt more like going through the motions than actually solving the issue. Due to hygiene concerns, I personally disposed of some of my clothes and shoes, essentially paying extra for this stay. To summarize: * The room has a pest problem. * Hygiene management is questionable (and seemingly a long-term issue). * The response was delayed and inadequate. * The guest had to bear the additional costs themselves. If you're just looking for a place to sleep, you might gamble on it; but if you don't want to use your body as a test subject, I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel."

"The photos are really misleading; it looks completely different from the actual place. We booked an 'Exquisite Suite,' which turned out to be just one room with a living room, where an extra bed had been added. With the extra bed in the living room, the kitchen became practically unusable due to heavy smoke, shattering our dream of cooking our own meals. The room itself was quite small, and with the extra bed in the living room, there was barely any space to walk. It was on the top floor, with a very low attic ceiling and a small window. Soundproofing was poor; we could hear conversations from outside. The balcony door was broken and couldn't be opened, and the view was just average. Be careful with the main entrance; the automatic door opener is prone to catching hands! Check-in was in a different building. If you receive the address of the building you'll be staying in, you can have the taxi driver drop you off directly there, saving you the hassle of dragging your luggage around. To open the ground floor door, you need to pull it when you hear the mechanism (the 'push' sign on the door is incorrect). Cleanliness: Acceptable, cleaned daily. Location: Indeed excellent, right near the city center with many pick-up points for group tours. For 2500-3000 a night, I expected more space. Quite disappointed. (I was out early and back late every day, so I forgot to take photos)."

"Greater than my friends and I expected! The hotel environment and service attitude are very good. When I went to the south, I found that the power bank fell in the hotel. Because the south came back to change the hotel, I was anxious to catch the plane the next day. After contacting the hotel, the hotel staff actually helped us to send us to another hotel front desk where we lived! Super touched! ! And the facilities and room environment are really good in Iceland."

"Hotel Ódinsvé is ideally located in the city center, within easy walking distance of major attractions such as the cathedral, making it very convenient for tourists. The on-site restaurant offers delicious meals and is worth a try. However, since Iceland has 20 hours of sunshine in summer and the room's light-shielding effect is slightly insufficient, it may affect sleep quality. If you stay in the summer, it is recommended to bring your own eye mask to ensure rest. Overall, it is an accommodation option that combines convenience and comfort."

"This apartment is fantastic! It's fully equipped with a kitchen and bathroom, measures 55 square meters, and is very clean and tidy. We stayed for six nights, alternating between long excursions and city tours. We bought groceries from the supermarket and cooked our own meals, which was a huge money-saver in high-priced Iceland (where a croissant costs 45 RMB!). It also allowed us to enjoy Chinese food and rice, simple yet comforting for our 'Chinese stomachs'. For supermarkets, I recommend Bonus (the 'piggy' store) and Krónan. Krónan has fresher and a wider variety of fruits and vegetables than Bonus, plus fresh fish, so I really liked that one. It's about a 9-minute walk away. Bus Stop 12 is just a minute's walk from the entrance, right in front of the Storm Hotel. We booked three day tours (Southern Coast, Golden Circle, Snaefellsnes) and our airport shuttle pick-up from here, which was super convenient. Next to Bus Stop 12, there's another hotel with a wind-sheltered porch at its entrance, perfect for waiting for the bus and escaping Iceland's infamous winds. We took public transport to Sky Lagoon, Perlan (the Natural History Museum, highly recommended!), and Flyover. I highly recommend this apartment; it's not only spacious and comfortable but also incredibly convenient for transportation."

"I chose a room with a kitchen, which was pretty good. It had an induction cooker and bar stools, so I could cook simple dishes. There was no kettle, but there was a coffee machine. I had to wash the dishes myself to make it convenient for the next customer. Because I couldn't ensure that the previous customer had washed them very clean, I also recommended that everyone rinse the dishes themselves before using them."

This room includes access to the hotel’s spa, so you can go for a soak anytime. The spa is quite interesting — it has both indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna. The whole area is very quiet and relaxing. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly, and everything was clean and well maintained. Because of the heavy snow, I had no choice but to stay an extra night and added this room with spa package last minute(last room). When I stayed at the room earlier, I chose a cheaper rate without spa. but honestly it doesn’t matter — you can just add it when you arrive. It costs 3700 ISK per person per stay, and you can use the spa as much as you want. If you’re staying three nights, adding just 3700 ISK for unlimited access is actually a great deal and definitely worth trying. Location is more towards the other end of the main street so expect to walk like 20 minutes to the most interesting part of the city. Right opposite of the hotel is a place with different food stores, is a relatively cheaper (like 3500 isk per set) place to eat. There is a Thai food restaurant too (like 2600-3500 range ...but😅😅😅) Just note that you need to bring your own toothbrush, the soap shampoo is provided and slippers are only available in the spa room which has a bath tub and size a bit bigger.

We started our travel to Iceland by driving around Iceland in a campervan, so we were hoping for a relaxing hotel stay in Reykjavik at the end of the trip when we pre-booked. We were not disappointed by the Eyja Guldsmeden. The location was only a few blocks away from downtown where there were tons of shopping and dining options, and the hotel itself was beautiful. In the lobby, we grabbed (included) coffee in the mornings and a reasonably-priced drink for happy hour. The service at the front desk was friendly and cordial. The room itself had a nice view of the mountains and was warm and cozy. It was a great stay and we would definitely go back to this hotel again if we are ever back in Iceland! Our only difficulty, understanding this is mostly outside of the hotel's control, is that some of the sidewalks on the walk to downtown were extremely icy and slippery after a day or so of wintry mix that froze over. We had to be extremely careful making our way down to Laugavegur, which had much safer sidewalks. There were even a few buses and cars that couldn't make their way up or down the icy, hilly streets and had to work their way around. So if you are going in the Winter, be cautious and walk slowly!

My stay at the Hilton Reykjavik Nordica was, overall, very satisfying. The hotel itself is spacious and comfortable, with a clean and modern design that perfectly captures the fresh Scandinavian aesthetic, while also offering the refinement and convenience expected of a high-quality accommodation. The front desk staff were excellent; check-in and check-out were efficient, and communication was smooth, making them feel both professional and attentive. My room was spotless and quite spacious, with a comfortable bed that ensured a great night's sleep. The attention to cleanliness details made me feel very secure and at ease. The hotel breakfast is also commendable, with a wide variety of fresh options that perfectly met my dining needs during the trip. While not in the absolute city center, the location is still convenient for getting around, and the quiet surroundings are ideal for a good rest. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive, providing a consistent and reliable stay. Whether for a business trip or a leisure vacation, you'll experience excellent service and quality here. All in all, this hotel offers a great combination of comfort, service, and brand assurance. My entire stay was pleasant and effortless, making it a highly recommended and quality accommodation option when visiting Reykjavik.

Great hotel in an excellent city center location, with everything within walking distance. The room was spacious, recently renovated, and very comfortable. There was some noise from the street, but it didn't bother me at all. The breakfast was tasty with good quality options, although the selection stayed the same every day. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, a very pleasant stay and good value for the location.

I loved this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it! One of the outstanding features is that they give you a cell phone to use during your stay. The phone already has helpful apps installed for taxis, restaurants, etc. We are from the US so did not have international cell service so having this phone with us was helpful, especially for using maps. Reykjavik is a walkable city, and the hotel is located on the most popular street, so it has easy access to everything. The staff was very helpful and there is also a bar/restaurant onsite with amazing cocktails. There is an included breakfast buffet which featured hot and cold items. We had a room on the 4th floor that included access to large patio. We loved this feature as we could wake up and go outside to check the weather and enjoy the views of the mountains and water in the distance. The hotel was also extremely clean. Another nice touch was that they knew we were celebrating our wedding anniversary so when we entered our room, we found a bottle of wine, chocolate and romantic decorations!

This apartment-style hotel is really great. Remember to book in advance, you can save a lot! You can cook here, and all the kitchenware and laundry facilities are available. There's a microwave, perfect for heating up some instant meals! There are two beds, and the bathroom is also very spacious. Check-in is conveniently located right across from the apartment building. You can ask the front desk for some disposable toothbrushes, which is a nice touch. They also store luggage for free. The hotel sits on a street corner, with easy access to the city centre and a nice view of the harbour. Clean and warm, with enjoyable breakfast. The sauna and relaxation areas are not huge, but offer a nice opportunity to unwind after a long day out in the cold weather. The staff are friendly and happy to help with eating suggestions and deals available. I would definitely go back in the future.
