We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Hagi no Yado Tomoe. Outstanding from start to finish. Delicious meals (breakfast and dinner) on both days, comfortable futons in spacious and well-appointed rooms, the most friendly and efficient service (sincere thanks to Takashi-san, our ‘butler’, but also to the entire team) and ideally located in walking distance to all Hagi’s most interesting sights. I can’t recommend Hagi no Yado Tomeo highly enough.
This hotel is great for business travelers because it offers spacious rooms and a large public bath, which is perfect for unwinding after work. I would definitely come back again.
JR car walk to the hotel is only 10~15 minutes, so easy to find. The main entrance is facing the traffic light. It has a 300-year history, so traditional style. In the lobby, you must change indoor slippers first, and when you go out, the waiter will immediately take out the guests' shoes to replace you. The whole building has been appreciated. Value, there is an orthodox Japanese garden, there are a lot of koi fish in the pool, and you can see the maple leaves. We can enjoy the garden on the terrace of our room. The bathroom in the room has a wooden bathtub. Dinner and breakfast are eaten in the room ... Our housekeeper is very professional, Also introduced a variety of food ... and free beer, Coke is provided. There is electric heating in the central location of the room, thick quilt and heating ... But leaving this fan will be very cold ... This is the old building. At that time, the technology was not so advanced. The hot spring pool is not big, but there are two in the wind. Good ~ so comfortable. Sooner or later, the soup for men and women is changed. The hotel crosses the road and goes straight to have a ”fox footprint” worth recommending

The room facilities are convenient (without stairs) to suit my usage as a person with walking difficulties.
I especially love the ensuite onsen bath with beautiful ocean view.

The hotel parking space, is outsourced to park in another place, we arrived at 3:30 pm, saw a parking space but the staff said there was someone parked, just out!
But the outsourced parking space has a time limit, not self-in, in addition to the time clock, if there is an option, the hotel's own parking lot is much more convenient!
Every time there is no parking space, but the hotel hot spring is on the 10th floor, you can see the sea view, is my most reminiscent! Guests are not crowded, very comfortable, everyone can enjoy quietly!

Our triple room as spacious but I felt itchy the whole night while sleeping- although the sheets looked clean ( I slept on the added bed). The other two beds looked slumped in the middle.
Bathroom also looked quite old( from the 70’s)?

We drove out to have yakitori in a small down, which was very local, but with friendly owner, good food- and super cheap price ( each yakitori was about ¥120-150 yen.
Breakfast buffet has both Japanese and western offers, taste was average. Overall service was very good.
Due to bad weather, I entered the facility early, but the staff were very accommodating and I was able to stay a comfortable night. The food and hot springs were both excellent.

Luggage can be stored free of charge at the information center or bicycle shops; the information center can help you call the hotel for luggage pickup and shuttle service. The hotel is well-equipped, with two free onsen baths. Enjoying a massage on the 7th floor while watching the sunset over the sea is absolutely amazing! I highly recommend having breakfast and dinner there. Finding food outside the hotel is difficult unless you're driving, and the hotel's cuisine is exquisite and meticulously prepared, with ocean views. The rooms are traditional Japanese tatami rooms with sea views, very charming! Overall, the service was excellent, and the experience was wonderful!
