The hotel's location is super convenient, not far from the MRT station. There are plenty of convenience stores, shops, and a night market nearby, making it easy to get around. The rooms are newly renovated, have lots of TV channels, and a bidet toilet. The large floor-to-ceiling windows are a nice touch, and the hotel's decor is quite upscale, offering great value for its price. However, prices do double during holidays. It's popular with international, Japanese, and Korean travelers, and clearly has a good reputation. Last time, I wanted to switch rooms due to the floor, and the hotel staff were very helpful. Overall, it's excellent.

An absolutely excellent hotel! The views, ambiance, facilities, and service are all top-notch. What truly stood out was the service. Even though the hotel was very busy, everything was incredibly well-organized, from reserving a dinner table at the restaurant to borrowing bicycles, helping us find a table at breakfast, and managing the pool and beach lounge areas, as well as the fitness and recreation center – everything was handled perfectly. The staff were all very friendly, warm, and thoughtful. Having stayed in hundreds of hotels worldwide, this was by far one of my most satisfying experiences. We booked for five nights and still felt it wasn't enough!

Hotel is relative clean. Stayed in a single room with a semi double bed. Size is decent but didn’t realised it was behind the lifts, could hear the lift moving through out the day. The shower head position is pretty bad. It’s not on an angle it’s pretty much like spraying directly into your body. It would be great if they could address this. It’s 15 mins walk from the metro station so not closed. Also there was a cockroach in the bathroom. Crawled out of the drain

The view was fantastic, with a clear sight of Taipei 101 in the distance. The room had a convenient table, perfect for a quick bite or a drink. Since it was an anniversary celebration, the hotel kindly provided a bottle of champagne, which really set a lovely atmosphere. The staff were all polite and had excellent service. And the breakfast was really good too! ♡

The room was spacious, with a separate wet and dry bathroom and a refrigerator. Each floor had its own water dispenser, and the sixth floor offered a free kids' play area, a gym, and a sparkling water machine. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The hotel also provided a free contracted parking lot, and there's a shopping street outside the hotel for convenient resupply.

Location opposite Park and within walk distance to night market. But 20 to 30 minutes drive airport. The so called Airport transfer is by normal taxi arranged by hotel. Please take note that you may incur charges if you left luggage at hotel overnight, Room that allocated to us with huge bath tub with jacuzzi. The bath room size about one third of room size.

This trip marked our seven-month anniversary, and it added so many wonderful memories as we head towards our eighth month together. Upon check-in, the hotel learned we were celebrating our anniversary and thoughtfully upgraded us to a mountain-view room. The in-room welcome drinks were incredibly generous, featuring mini beers, plum wine, coke, and Pocari Sweat – essential for rehydration after a soak; they even included face masks to pamper us while we enjoyed the in-room hot spring bath. All the room's fixtures and fittings were new and high-quality: a Toto washlet, a Panasonic 1400 nanoe hairdryer, a thoughtful wooden gua sha massage comb, and hyaluronic acid-infused shower gel that left skin feeling smooth and soft. What truly amazed me were the double-layered automatic curtains (even in the room's private hot spring area!). The double room's bathtub was spacious enough for up to four people – a very comfortable size. In the afternoon, the lobby offered preserved fruits and freshly brewed tea, perfect for a relaxing break after a dip in the outdoor public hot spring. After dinner, they provided handmade kumquat-flavored tofu pudding, and it was unlimited – so generous! (There's a lovely staff member in the lobby, Tina, who's a treasure trove of recommendations for local food and sights; don't hesitate to ask her for her secret list of must-try places!) Last but not least, I highly recommend trying the hotel's breakfast, especially the freshly blanched beef soup. Even my boyfriend, who grew up in Tainan, the home of beef soup, couldn't stop raving about it. *If you're planning a weekday visit like we did and want to try some local famous eateries, be sure to check their opening hours in advance. Many popular spots are only open from Friday to Sunday or during specific hours, like mornings until 2 PM. (Luckily, you can find a lot of food on Uber Eats!) Heartily recommend!

We recently stayed at the Dinosaur Kingdom Family Room and transferred to a Premier Twin Room the following day. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The staff were consistently kind, helpful, and accommodating, which we truly appreciated. We especially enjoyed the family room—it was thoughtfully designed and perfect for traveling with a young child. I had initially planned for a two-night stay in this room, but unfortunately, renovations were scheduled to begin the following day. This was a bit disappointing, as it made our time there feel quite short, especially with other activities already planned during our trip. In comparison to other five-star hotels we’ve stayed in, I did find the lack of flexibility with early check-in a bit surprising, particularly for the themed room. We had hoped to settle in earlier, and similarly, the following day’s transfer to the Premier room was not available early as it was fully booked. While this was different from what I’m used to, I do understand that this may be part of their standard protocol. On a positive note, we loved the buffet, and the rooms were very comfortable. The complimentary drinks were a nice touch, and the playroom area was excellent—clearly designed with families in mind. It was also lovely to see the hotel organizing activities for children. During our stay, there was a special event (like a children’s appreciation day?), where me and my baby were able to participate in arts and crafts and even received small prizes, which made the experience extra memorable. The swimming pool was decent, though not very large, and the water was quite cold, so we ended up enjoying the bathtub instead. One area for improvement would be cleanliness. We noticed visible dust in the room, which was concerning—especially since the room is designed for small children, and for someone like me who is diagnosed with allergies to multiple types of dust mites. I did raise this with Lara at the lobby, who kindly apologized and mentioned she would inform housekeeping. However, upon transferring rooms the next day, I still noticed dust in certain areas, which made me question the thoroughness of the cleaning. Separately, I also observed that some toiletries (such as conditioner and lotion) were nearly empty upon arrival, suggesting they may not have been checked or replenished prior to our stay. Despite these points, we genuinely had a pleasant experience overall and would consider returning. I’m also excited and curious to see what the next theme for the family rooms will be after the renovations.

However, I soon realized that the train station is not the city center. The main downtown area is a significant distance away—about a 40-minute walk. This means you'll either need to plan for long walks or rely on taxis and buses to get to the main dining and night market areas. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something to be aware of. The Room: The room itself was a highlight. It was spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring. The best feature was the large window that faced the train station, with a stunning backdrop of the mountains. It was incredibly scenic and made the room feel bright and open. While the room was comfortable, I did notice that the overall design and some of the furniture felt a bit dated. It's clean and functional, but don't expect a super modern aesthetic. Amenities & Service: This is where the experience was a bit uneven. The gym was quite disappointing. It only had a stationary bicycle and a treadmill. There were no weights, no multi-gym, nothing for anyone hoping for even a basic strength workout. It felt more like an afterthought than a proper facility. On the other hand, the service had some truly thoughtful highlights. When we asked for ice, the hotel staff kindly delivered some to our room, which was a nice touch. The Special Touch: The most memorable part of the stay was a small, heartwarming gesture. The hotel provided us with complimentary postcards. The unique part? They offered to mail them for us, but not right away. They will send them exactly one year later. It's a lovely idea—a little time capsule from your trip that arrives as a surprise in the future. Overall: Hotelday Hualien offers spacious, comfortable rooms with beautiful mountain views, and its proximity to the train station is a plus for travelers. The thoughtful service, like the ice delivery and the ”postcard to your future self” program, adds a warm, personal touch. However, the distance from the city center and the very basic gym are drawbacks. It's a solid choice for a comfortable night's sleep near the station, especially if you appreciate sentimental gestures, but be prepared for the travel time to the main attractions.
